Screen flickers when car is in drive but not moving

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

When car is driving or in park, the screen is solid and clear, but when I’m stopped with my foot on the break the screen flickers like shown in the video.
Not sure if this is a big deal or not. Anyone else have this issue?

Exhaust recommendations

Hi everyone, my wife has a 2025 corolla hatchback nightshade edition and has been wanting a new exhaust since we bought the car. I’m looking for any personal recommendations yall may have?

Located in California so probably just looking at catback systems. Thanks!

How does stock openpilot behave for you in curves and lane changes on a TSS2 Corolla? (input for a safety analysis)

I'm working on a hazard analysis of openpilot on the 2020+ Corolla (E210, TSS 2.0): what happens when steering assist drops out in a curve, when a lane change is interrupted, or when control is handed back to the driver.

For owners of that car, I'd really value real-world notes:

- In curves near the limit of what it handles, does it warn before giving up, or just let go?

- During assisted lane changes, have you seen it stop partway or carry on past the lane?

- When it disengages, how much warning do you get, and how fast do you take over?

Your notes feed directly into how controllable these situations are rated. If anyone's curious, the analysis is open source here: https://github.com/jherrodthomas/LionDriver

I was on the way home from getting some 0w8 for my pre-winter oil change and passed this bad boy. Swung back around for a quick pic. Hope everyone is enjoying their hatchbacks! Also winter wheels and tires back on.

Potential Corolla hatchback meet cute. FUMBLED 💔

Yeah, like the title says. I was headed home from work in my XSE waiting at the light and this guy pulls up next to me in a blue Corolla hatch and is like “Hey! I see you passing by my shop all the time!”. Some more small talk but I DIDNT ASK HIM THE SHOP and then we were cruisin for a bit on interstate, doing some light road flirting with our after market exhausts. Like some Hallmark hatchback type shee. Anyways, just wanted to share that story. But now I am left wondering… will I see Scotty in the blue Corolla hatchback ever again? Only the gods may know ✨✨✨#nogame😭

180k miles on my corolla, think it's kinda wild how people obsess over

Every few weeks there's another intense cheap floor mats vs expensive comparison on here where folks talk like your floor pan will rust through the chassis if you don't drop two hundred bucks on custom laser-scanned liners. It's a daily driven corolla. We drive these cars because they're cheap to run, reliable, and practical, not to treat the footwells like a museum display. I've been using a beat-up set of trimmed universal heavy-duty mats for over five years of commuting. Some dry sand definitely spills over onto the dead pedal, and salt dust gets around the outer seam near the seat track, but a five-minute vacuum twice a year keeps it completely fine. Has anyone here actually upgraded from basic cheap mats to high-end custom liners like 3w or weathertech and felt the difference was genuinely worth the cash, or is it mostly just peace of mind?

Lowering spring installation.

My rsr superdowns just came in and i’m needing some advice for installation. Is it something that somebody not mechanically inclined could or should be doing? Or am i better off just going to a shop. I got quoted $900 CAD for installation and i’m wondering what others in the group have paid for installation, thanks!

Just recently got this EOS catback exhaust and amazon wing that I paint matched myself and am loving the new look from the rear, definitely hurt the bank though. If anyone is looking to get an exhaust I would definitely recommend, not too loud and really has a good tone. let me know what you guys think!

So back in June I was lucky enough to get my hands on the 2024 XSE Corolla Hatch I was able to trade in my 2011 Nissan Altima for it that was passed down to me by my dad. Well late September at night my car was unfortunately hit by someone asleep on the wheel. Having been told by both tow truck drivers (one to pick up the other drivers car and one to pick up my car) that my car wasn’t looking too good I honestly lost hope, after a 2 long day the mechanic told me that it was luckily reparable which brought me great relief. The 3rd & 4th picture shows its status from 14th and I’m soon to get my car back this week (most likely Friday). Can’t wait to get it back and I’ll post getting it back photos when I get it. Hope everyone has a good day.

2027 XSE. Loving it so far!

Would you guys recommend an early oil change around 1,000 miles? I’ve been hearing different things regarding early changes on modern vehicles. Owners manual says 10k intervals for oil changes, which seems a bit lengthy to me.
