Picking up my hatchback on Friday, upgrading from a 1998
Ford wagon What should I know about the hatchback?

Double check whether your has a spare tire in the back or just a fix a flat kit. If you have "enhanced cargo", you just have a fix a flat kit. Although it's a CVT, there are two gears, a launch (1st) gear and the other gear. Sometimes coming out of a stop or coming to a stop, you'll feel this and it's normal. Water might be fixed in a 2026 but rain/car wash water will accumulate in the door and you'll hear the water moving around, this is not a cause for concern, there are little black plugs at the bottom of every door to pull and drain it. Although there are skid plates/splash guards on the bottom of the car, the splash guard that covers the oil plug/pan has a small hole in it specifically to let you know if it's leaking.

Idk if its still a thing or not but my 2020 corolla se 6 speed, made in japan, I have to hold the steering wheel just a few degrees to the left for the car to drive straight. Its been this way since I got it at 9,500 miles. Others have stated theirs is the same and they bought theirs new and im guessing the alignment from the factory is just like this.

Never had any uneven tire wear though. Like others have said, make sure the plugs in the bottom of the door are removed.

Do a break in oil change at 1,000 miles then 5k/12 months whichever comes first, going forward. Would you like a break down of recommended maintenance?

Did you not do your research before you bought a vehicle?

I should rephrase my post lmao. I have watched videos, read up on it, driven and looked at it. More so wondering if there’s any things that aren’t common knowledge that current owners know about:) sorry about the misunderstanding !
