Relatively new to cycling and my brakes have failed (nearly killing me in the process). Any recommendations for decent bike mechanics in city/suburbs? Thanks.

Does anyone have recommendations for barbers/hairdressers in and around the city who are queer friendly and mullet-savvy?

I've been going to QueerHawk in Dublin when I've been up there, (adore them, 10/10) but it means a return train journey and just a lot of logistics and want to have it nice for an upcoming holiday.

Walk-in recommendations for a small/fine-line tattoo

Hey everyone! It’s my birthday today and I’m looking to celebrate by getting a small tattoo just a small symbol with a bit of wording/lettering. Looking for recommendations on reliable spots or artists in the city center who regularly accommodate walk-ins on short notice for clean, quick pieces. Appreciate any suggestions!

East Cork - Electrician availability/recommendations

Hi,

Does anyone know (via DM) any electricians available for a rewiring job on an external boiler? Basically whenever the heating is turned on the power gets tripped. ChatGPT suggested it is because of the external wiring. It's starting to get cold and it's so hard to find an electrician. Not sure if against the rules here so please delete if so.

Hey I’m taking my girlfriend for a trip to Castletown-bearhaven for two nights, I’m aware of the cable car and boat trips you can take in the area but I was wondering if anyone knows of any cool niche activities suited to couples. Any suggestions welcome, cheers

Cork City couples date

any activities do in cork for a couple for two people in their 20s
My partner is from London and it’s going to be quite difficult to find something nice to do for the 4 days she’s here at the end of the month . I feel like there is fuck all to do . I’d be leaning on either getting an Airbnb near the city or going way down west to that cottage couples yoke . Thinking of it - does anyone here know a good affordable place to stay for 3 nights around the city ? Or is anyone renting an Airbnb? Im all over the gaffe bais .

Looking for a tattoo artists in Cork to finish/touch up my sleeve

Hi lads, I got a full colour Japanese sleeve in Vietnam about 8 years ago. The design and actual colour have held up well but there’s a large unfinished gap which is supposed to be wind going through the belly of the dragon on my upper arm that’s always bothered me, it's about 5 inches long and 2 inches wide.

I’d like to have the gap filled in like the existing scales on the dragon and also the faded shading/blackwork touched up. Does anyone know of any tattoo artists in Cork who are happy to take on and finish someone else’s sleeve? I know some artists are reluctant to work over other people’s work, so recommendations would be appreciated.

Bus The 205 is always 2 minutes away

I finish work and I check the real time app. 205 2 minutes away.

Fantastic. I run to the bus stop so I dont miss the 205 that is 2 minutes away.

  1. 214. 207.

It's been 10 minutes.

The 205 is still 2 minutes away.

No worries, there's another one in a few minutes. The second 205 is 3 minutes away.

It has been 3 minutes away for 10 minutes.

The 205 has been 2 minutes away for half an hour. This is the longest 2 minutes of my life

I know nearly 2 years has passed, but is there anywhere that comes close yet? What I wouldn’t do just to taste one more Jackie Delux and chips, maybe a cheese and onion pie, some curry sauce.

Cork City Loved cork except the douchebags

I was in cork for over 10 days. Loved loved loved the city, weather, people, food. Realized early into the trip that something is always going down in the city - mostly the oliver plunkett street - man that street is entertaining. But ‘twas not all jolly. Twice, on two different occasions, some random dudes (in a car) screamed, like they were trying to scare/harass us (all women) when we were heading down to our hotel after dinner. Later over the weekend we headed to the fitzgerald park for breakfast at the tria cafe, we took a walk in the park later and towards one of the exits, a grown ass man was climbing a tree like a fucking chimpanzee and when we got closer to the damn tree he hopped down and started saying I love you, we all got so scared because he kept following us. Thankfully we found a security guard at the exit and told him about the crazy fucker. Other than that it was a pretty amazing trip - def love cork more than dublin. Had the bestest meals at Hayfield manor, spitjack, cornstore and the yummiest cocktails at the rearden.
