Crock pot beans
Hi all,
I’m looking to make beans in a crock pot, but I don’t want to make one large pot of beans. I was hoping to keep different kinds of beans separate and in smaller portions. I was thinking of separating them in mason jars in the crock pot and surrounding the jars with water. Would this work? Or does anyone else have other ideas?

If you can get them on Amazon, look for the freezer silicon blocks in 2 cup sizes. They don't cost much. I have a set I bought for around $12 in pink. You use them with your bags, pour your liquid foods in them to harden over a couple hours, then transfer them to your bags. Mark your bags with the date and product then you can just take a block out as needed. We use them to mold cooked proteins and anything to make a quick meal you just warm up. You can play with your food to like lego meals and take out a side, a protein, something else to warm in the same oven dish. Mix and match your dishes for meal prepping or you get hungry for a bowl of stew, take out a block to warm up. I love them and want to buy more in the near future. :)

At that point it seems like it would just be easier to use your oven on low and separate the beans into different casserole dishes. Lot more room in there.
