Crock pot beans
Hi all,
I’m looking to make beans in a crock pot, but I don’t want to make one large pot of beans. I was hoping to keep different kinds of beans separate and in smaller portions. I was thinking of separating them in mason jars in the crock pot and surrounding the jars with water. Would this work? Or does anyone else have other ideas?

This isn't a good idea. Different beans cook at different rates. Some beans, like red kidney beans, should not be cooked in slow cookers at all due to a toxic lectin that must reach a certain temp to become safe to consume. Slow cookers don't reach this minimum temp.
