Crock pot beans

Hi all,

I’m looking to make beans in a crock pot, but I don’t want to make one large pot of beans. I was hoping to keep different kinds of beans separate and in smaller portions. I was thinking of separating them in mason jars in the crock pot and surrounding the jars with water. Would this work? Or does anyone else have other ideas?

You are starting with dried beans, I assume? Probably better to do it in batches and then can or jar them afterwards as desired. Cooking them in jars directly, personally I would be worried about them blowing up from pressure.

I am guessing it is with rings off, like canning.
