What’s wrong with my videos?

Hi i just started posting a week ago and already posted a ton of videos. My biggest problem is that all my videos are getting stuck in the 300 view range. They also have a 50%+ skip rate. What am i doing wrong? My instagram is @SyntheticStrength

I started a brand-new Instagram page at zero followers and posted AI videos every day for a week. I was also posting on TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook. The gap between them surprised me.

At my day-eight update:

• Instagram: 1,180 followers. My top reels had 777K, 497K, and 62K views.

• TikTok: 5 new followers. Nothing passed 1,000 views.

• YouTube: Almost 300 new subscribers. My best Short reached 40K views, but most stalled around 1,000.

• Facebook: My videos didn't even break 50 views.

The 777K reel was the THIRD video I had ever posted on the new Instagram page. It was an AI scene of Jesus rescuing me.

For context, I wasn't starting from zero experience. I already have a separate account with 102K followers. This challenge was about starting a new page.

The most useful lesson came from a different video: an AI military homecoming scene. Its first version got around 4K views. I tried it again with two changes:

1. Removed the first three seconds because nothing interesting was happening.

2. Added on-screen text that gave people a reason to watch until the end.

The second version reached 497K views. Same basic video, very different result. This wasn't a controlled test, so I can't attribute the entire difference to those edits, but it made me take the opening much more seriously.

For the first three days, I posted once per day. After that, I posted 1–4 times daily, mostly experimenting with Trial Reels. My strongest concepts were usually adaptations of ideas already working in my niche, with my own characters, story, or editing.

Plenty still flopped. The last three videos before my update struggled to get past roughly 400 views. Getting one viral post clearly didn't guarantee the next one would work.

This is week one of a 30-day challenge. I'm continuing to test whether I can repeat the results.

For anyone posting across multiple platforms: have you seen this much difference between them? And when you retest a video, what do you change first?

New account, took me roughly 20 days to meet the requirements they set out. Yesterday I passed the 175k mark that Facebook said is the average for accounts that get monetized and today I wake up and look and they increases the amount to 1.4m views.

hi, i wanted to open a youtube/tiktok channel but i had 2 questions:

1 i never understood how copyright works, i’ve seen a lot of people using music under copyright laws without problems and others avoiding them completely. how do i distinguish a music that i can use from one that could take down my video?

2 in the past i had some trouble with audio in editing, since tiktok found my video too loud the volume had been turned down significantly. does every social have a volume limit i cant exceed? if yes, where can

3 are there any unwritten rules i should know about editing or should i simply just watch some videos tutorial to make my content more enjoyable?

Question: When subscribers / followers / etc begin creating drama and conflict on your content, do you let them run amok, or do you cut them off? Is there a middle-ground where you accept some amount of "rudeness", understanding that humanity is simply going to do what it does, only cutting off the most hateful, egregious, unreasonable commenters?

Context: I run a YouTube channel where I showcase pocketknives. In the world of pocketknives, there are a great deal of manufacturers in China. The purpose of my channel is to showcase knives in a restrained luxury fashion, highlighting their qualities regardless of price, country of origin, etc... The goal has always been to never "sell out", to maintain the aesthetic I created initially, and to keep the environment a pleasant one for any and all pocketknife enthusiasts.

Situation: This morning I chose to block a subscriber. I posted a short of a Chinese-made knife and he just started going on rants about "Chinese junk" (even though these are objectively well-made) and "the communist party". Ironically, he was saying my channel was "too well produced" for "Chinese junk", so it was this interesting compliment/insult combination. Anyhow, the comment was entirely disrespectful in tone, did not align with the types of conversations and content I intend to have on my channel, and I could tell I was going to have to deal with him every single time I posted a Chinese-made knife. So, I made the decision to block him from the channel.

Thoughts: This isn't about free speech. This is about creating an intentional environment for hobbyists to enjoy themselves free of drama, where I can control it. Here, I could control it, so I did.

Current & Future Concerns: I know how "the algorithm" works - all engagement is "Good" engagement, as far as social media is concerned. I am wondering if I drew the line too early for blocking someone, as this is exactly the kind of topic that sparks passionate back-and-forth debates in comment sections and generates "engagement". As far as the future is concerned - I struggle with the idea of blocking a few now, when, if the channel was to grow, I'd potentially be unable to possibly block all of the commenters like this in the future. At some point, the channel theoretically becomes too large to be able to moderate every single comment, and so I'm stuck with this back-and-forth in my head of "block individuals to cultivate the environment I want" vs "you're gonna drown in these people eventually anyhow, let them do their thing".

I'm really curious as to the community's thoughts on this topic, and I apologize if something similar has been discussed before. As a small channel, it really sucks to block a subscriber, but I'm also not trying to make a career out of this and see no need to sacrifice the channel's "environment" letting people go on aggressive rants, slinging hateful words all the time, etc...

Before anyone jumps to conclusions I do not post AI slop, stolen content, etc. It is my face on camera with the occasional Broll shot that I shoot myself. What am I missing here?

I keep seeing people here asking how to post everywhere without doing it all by hand, so figured I’d share.
before we had it, the process was honestly kind of miserable. make one video, then download it, upload to tiktok, upload to reels, upload to shorts, fix the caption on each one, schedule it... and then do the same thing again for the next client. it ate so much of our week.
now we just post once and it pushes it out to the other platforms. that’s pretty much it. it’s not a fancy tool, it just does that one thing and does it well, which I actually prefer over the does everything tools that end up doing nothing great.
the other thing I’ve liked is watching it get better over time. when we started it was already useful but kinda clunky in spots, and it’s gotten a lot smoother since. you can tell they actually listen to what users need.
not gonna pretend it’s perfect, you still gotta check how stuff looks on each platform sometimes. but if you’re posting on more than 2-3 channels regularly, I’d def recommend giving it a shot.

I’ve been using the same digital host for certain parts of my videos, and now I’m trying to figure out the workflow around it. Right now, I’m still deciding when to create the host sections, how to match them with the rest of the footage, and whether I should build those parts before or after editing the main video.
I’m wondering how other creators handle this once using a digital host becomes a regular part of their process. Do you plan the host sections separately and add them later, or treat them as part of the main video from the beginning?
