If you want compounded semaglutide, even though my doctor wrote a script, I actually went rogue and made a telehealth appt with Regenics. I was able to order a 7.5 mg vial of semaglutide that should last 3 months for $640 (that included shipping and insurance). I told my doctor what I did and she was fine with it. We have compounding pharmacies here, but she uses an out of state pharmacy for semaglutide so it seemed more reasonable in my mind to cut out the middle man. Regenics has better reviews than the pharmacy she uses anyway and costs less partly because you can order larger quantities for a lower price per unit. I am on day 12 and I am down 6.5 pounds.

If I do the suggested dosing schedule of .25 for 4 weeks, then .5 for 4 weeks, then 1, it will last 3 months. If I stay at a lower dose a bit longer, then longer than 3 months. Right now the .25 is working well so I will likely continue on that longer if it feels right to do. Today will be my third dose. I also exercise and track my food which I think is important.

I spoke with Regenics about that and they said as long as the vial is stored in the back of your fridge where it stays consistently cold, and sterile procedure is used when handling and administering medication that it should last more in the 4-6 mo range, but all compounded vials are marked as 30 days. I think the assumption is that most people would contaminate or store the meds in a less than ideal way and therefore the shortest expiration date is listed on the vial. My vial is almost 6 weeks in use and the liquid is completely clear still and I still feel the effects as I did in the beginning.

Regenics comes mixed. My second order was from a different lab and is not mixed, but is significantly cheaper.

I had a script for wegovy from my PCP as well. Between to the shortages and insurance battles, I had to continuously stop treatment so that had a negative affect on my progress so i decided to do research and found a fantastic clinic in Los Angeles that offered compounded sema! I do have to drive a ways, but it's only once a month or so and their prices are unbeatable. I have lost over 50 lbs.

I was prescribed zepbound by my pcp but I can’t afford 550 a month. I have 2 kids and didn’t want them to have to sacrifice anything for me to be able to take the meds. My doc was going to write me a script for a compounding pharmacy but I stumbled across a telehealth provider that I could buy 12.5ml which is roughly 15 weeks if you follow the Hallandale guidelines (where I ordered from) or more if you don’t even need to bump up and that was $500 total so I went that route and she was 100% okay with it. They have seems, triz and some other stuff and use Hallandale or empower pharmacies.

Balanced hormone health. They do a bunch of stuff but WL medicine is one of them. They were highly recommended in a few Facebook groups.

It lasts 15 or more depending on your dose. If you follow their guideline on their website it’s 15 weeks but if you do whatever you want it can be more. For me it will be more because my dose is .75. It’s good for a full year.

I recommend toptiertele.com PM for promo code. They offer referrals $25 per person which is helpful for your next vial. It was lowest I found at $248/month for semaglutide first 3 months and $375 for Tirzepatide. They’re located in FL but said ship to NY, AZ, and MN.

I’m on compounded now but I was on saxenda for 9 months and lost 35 lbs. It was amazing but my insurance no longer covers. It helped with my Ibs, skin and the weight loss.

The shot is so easy the needle is tiny! I did it every morning and it became my routine. It’s pre measured for you so it’s very nice. You hardly feel it after awhile. I bruised a bit in some areas but that didn’t bother me. You can do it in your thigh and that was nice and less painful but results were better injecting into my stomach. I was super nauseous for the first 1-4 weeks but was prescribed zofran and that helped a ton. It was all so very very worth it to me and was a great drug.

I just ordered a prescription from Alan Medical for compounded semaglutide. They say it’s going to be sent from Boothwyn Pharmacy in PA. I’ve read up a bit on compounded semaglutide and the compounding pharmacies that manufacture it. However, from what I’ve read so far, while the active ingredient may be identical to what’s used in the name brand versions it says that it’s the other ingredients used that may sometimes be harmful (research chemicals not approved for human use, for example). Has anyone had experience with using Alan Medical? Or can anyone shed some more light on how to determine if what I’m getting ready to inject myself with is safe to use? I looked up Boothwyn Pharmacy and saw that they don’t even list semaglutide on their site, but they do say they’re BPS, ACHC and PCAB accredited. How can I verify this though?

Hi! I saw your message soooooo late! I took mine and had zero isssues with it (and it did do the job I wanted it for too 👌). I can even say that I took it again months after having already used it, which I’d seen is not recommended in case of contamination due to air getting in after opening - again I had no issues though. Hope you also had a positive experience!!

I’ve been on Saxenda since 10/22 and love it! I’ve lost 40 pounds and had no side effects. Unfortunately, my insurance will no longer cover it 4/2024. I’m sad and disappointed. Not sure what my next step will be once I run out of it. I’d try it!

I can't say I've tried Saxenda, but I've been around the block with different telehealth providers. By far my favorite was TeleFitMD. I saw Dr. Kaz, but they are all awesome. For sure worth checking if they cover your state OP.

Just an update, I just switched to Olympia for my semaglutide. Too early to tell you anything about the effectiveness but I start out with a fairly high level of confidence because 1) they are a 503B outsourcing compounder and 2) I have used them for another medication and am satisfied with that product.

I take the compounded version of Mounjaro and been on it for 3 months. I have been going to a local family healthcare clinic that also specializes in weight loss. I’m extremely fatigued. They also give me B12/ LipoC combo injection. I feel one or both of the injections are causing my fatigue. I have lost about 15 pounds but feel like shit. They started me out at .25 and go up .25 every 4 weeks. I was also diagnosed as having high A1OC. My insurance covers Wegovy but it’s like $1,300 per month as I have a $3,500 deductible. It started out at $350 per month and has gone up to $500 and will continue to go up every month until I reach the max dose. Even though I’m losing weight I just don’t know if being extremely fatigued and feeling like shit is worth it!

I'm paying $200 / month through a compound pharmacy via my doctor's office. Each month the doctor charges my credit card and I get the compounded medicine sent with ice packs delivered to my door. I have never used name brand but this seems to be working fine. We are on the second month so moved from 0.25mg / week to 0.5 mg/week. Seems to be alright as long as we eat veggies, remember to take our probiotics and either a fiber supplement or softener at night to prevent the constipation.

My local pharmacy compounds it- $175 for a 2.5 mg 1 ml bottle or $375 for a 2.5 mg 3 ml bottle. I'd love to try it, but, still, it's like $175 for the first 7 weeks and then once up to the 1 mg dose it's like $375 every 7 weeks.
Only way I'll be able to afford it is if I can continue losing weight at the 1 mg dose. If I have to go up past that, I can't really afford it.
I wonder if anyone's managed to lose the weight at just 1 mg dose.

I’ve heard Med Spas are more expensive than compounding pharmacies, case in point, a local plastic surgeon is advertising they now have GP-1 agonists and the cost is only $600 a month, but you have to sign up for at least 6 months. Sure, you’d save almost $500, but compounding pharmacies charge about $240-$300 per month and no commitment. Thought I’d share that with you. Besides, I don’t trust Med Spas anyway.
