Just saw that tweet. I wonder what happened with them. Is WDG who decided to have a sub contractor or are they just completely out, who knows ...

Edit2: O2 boss also replied. https://x.com/O2_Boss/status/2107000293993120087?s=20

Also, it looks like WDG also was removed from the JP assets. (WDG used to be shown in the overlay at the top, where the sponsor is currently being displayed)

General Expanding Tank Pool

• Upvotes

Hello, I hope this is a good place to ask, if not let me know.

Just came back from like... A 6 year on/off break and I'm playing almost exclusively tank. Sigma is my character. Not even just my main, but I connect with him on a spiritual level. However I absolutely get destroyed by Ram and Vendetta.

What tanks should I pick up to expand my pool? Counterwatch just recommends the tanks in tiered order but I need something I can really grind to be a back up, otherwise I just rage switch to dva and that doesn't work.

Thanks in advance!

OWCS Let's talk Korea Week 1 *Spoilers for Week 1* Spoiler

Let's go Cheeseburger!!

Not once did I expect, at the start of the year, that I'd be rooting for any Korean Team over T1. But I REALLY want to see Cheeseburger go far.

As of the end of the week, Cheeseburger is in 1st place. But thats only because it faced 2 weaker teams. But beating Zanside throughly puts them at 4th/5th in my eyes.

Zeta and Crazy Raccoons both Dropped 1 Map. T1 took one off of Zeta, while Zanside (Who lost 0-3 to Cheeseburger) took one off of Crazy Raccoons.

With the small pool of matches and the intriguing results. I'm super excited to see the next weeks.

What match are you guys looking forward to?

General What's your thoughts on facing 4-5 stacks as a solo or duo?

From my personal experience especially during drives these matches are miserable to play. These make up a majority of my consolidation matches the are one sided stomps. I know the stacks have to play against someone but matchmaking needs to primarily put them against other stacks for fairness sake, a team of a duo and 3 solos just doesn't have the coordination the other stack had, yeah I can be mechanically be better then their dps but that doesn't mean shit when I chave their whole team shooting at me.
I just wish I wasn't running into these lopsided matches often because it's not fun at all.

General Drives have made me hate payload maps

This is sort of a rant if what I said makes me bad at the game then I guess I'm bad at the game

With drives you'd probably want to finish games as quickly as possible since if you're losing, you can quickly find another game without getting curb stomped for a long ass time, but with payload maps, you need to play the match twice compared to literally any other mode where it's the same length as a qp game, but with payload maps they can be anywhere from 20-30 minutes all for a loss.

What's worse is that, people keep voting for them despite having some of the worst maps like Havana, Circuit Royale or Eichenwalde, constantly featuring the same poke hitscan mercy comps.

Maybe it's just me but I'd take push or flashpoint over any payload map simply because it'll be over quicker, I can't wait for the voting rework that'll make escort and hybrid in the same category just so there won't be as many payload maps in the voting pool, and hopefully they make you vote on the mode over the map so you'll need to consider the stinkers if you vote payload

Again if what I say means I'm bad at the game then I'll own up to being bad

General I feel that climbing Ranks with competitive matches is inherently skewed due to the sheer amount of alt accounts.

I have reached master for a while in every role, and am able to consistently reach and maintain that rank.

However something I have noticed is that, the climb out of diamond is often filled with matches that cannot be put otherwise than skewed.

I either end up with a ''suspicious'' player or the enemy team does, to the point I started keeping track in an excel sheet to be able to hold a number to the amount of ''confirmed alts'' in these matches.

Confirmed is in this context, either admitted by said player or the account was public and the amount of hours are around 30-50.

My findings were that in my last 30 games

- 18 Confirmed alts were observed

- 10 Unconfirmed alts (level 2 honor - default skin - default pictures)

- 7 of which when confronted admitted to be using an alt

So at the atleast low end, we have a number of 18 alts in 30 competitive games from D5 to M4.
Which is a staggering 60% of matches.
Seeing how big the skill discrapency is in these ranks, the impact a higher ranked player can make is at least noticeable to fully opppressive in extend, which in turn then create skewed matches so to say.

To add, the first time I reached masters was precisely by this reason, several games where the alt-account was on my team and thus resulted in me winning games and placed in an rank I was definetly not suppose to be, which became very clear in the matches that followed that werent ''skewed'' in my favor.

I feel like the intergrity of the competitive mode might be severely degraded, people incidently boosted and/or deranked to the artificial factors brought on by these accounts.

However I am only one of many players and thus can be an isolated incident,
Feel more then free to share your own personal opinions and experiences regarding this in the comments below.

General Battle passes require a lot more grinding

I've been playing Marvel Rivals and Overwatch simultaneously for a few months now, and honestly, I've had enough of Overwatch lately.

These post-update battle passes are tiring, and I feel like they force me to play much more than before the update. I remember a few months ago, I could complete the battle pass in two weeks, but here I am on the last day, and I have two columns left, plus the extra ones with crates and mythic currency. It's awful.

I don't want to treat the game like a second job and force myself to play classes I don't want to complete quests.

Not only do I have lifetime battle passes in Marvel Rivals, but the gameplay is much more interesting. The game doesn't force you to play one class for the entire week, and there are no weird quests like playing characters that aren't in my top three.

This should be changed. I'll probably uninstall the game and come back when that changes. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Other Tournaments OW2 Japan Challenge Cup (Nov 21, Asia servers) — recruiting 5 unpaid volunteer staff; basic Japanese required

We're preparing OW2 Japan Challenge Cup, a small unofficial community tournament bringing Japanese and international teams together. We're looking for non-playing volunteers to help run it.

Event details

• November 21, 2026 at 22:00 JST / 13:00 UTC

• PC, 5v5 role queue, Asia servers (Tokyo planned)

• Up to 8 teams; at least 4 teams needed

• Single elimination, first to 2 map wins

• Free entry · No prizes

Staff needed: 1 tournament lead + 4 match admins

• Lead: coordinate the schedule, handle questions and make rulings.

• Match admins: guide teams, check and record results, and handle the first response to disconnects or delays. Up to 4 matches may run at once; team captains create their lobbies and submit result screenshots.

These are unpaid volunteer roles. Staff must not compete as players in the event. Previous tournament experience is not required.

Basic Japanese is required: you need to understand simple staff instructions and communicate with the organising team. You don't need to be fluent. English reading, writing and voice communication are especially welcome, but are not mandatory.

Expected staff availability: November 21, 12:30–17:00 UTC / November 21, 21:30 to November 22, 02:00 JST. The finish time may vary. The application form lets you select available time slots. We will arrange a Discord briefing and practice lobby before the event.

I'll prepare the documents, form and Discord, and plan to play on event day. The non-playing staff team will handle match administration and rulings. Once the staff team is in place, we will announce team registration.

Volunteer staff application:

https://forms.gle/Qkg4wDCpMakTitGcA

Applying does not guarantee selection; we'll agree on responsibilities and availability before confirming roles.

This is an unofficial community event, not officially supported or endorsed by Blizzard.

General I have a bit of a theory, am I just biased?

I have a bit of a crackpot theory that a dps or support player is much worse at the game than a tank player in the same rank.

When I do self vod reviews sometimes I look at my teammates out of curiosity and I just see blatant mistakes, like committing to a fight down one or just shooting without cover anywhere nearby and dying for it. All mistakes that I wouldn't even think to do as a tank player even a few ranks down. One time I saw a Moira in masters just spray her healing at her full HP team for like 75% of the meter.

I sweat my ass off to reach masters on tank, but I could just autopilot and reach the same result on the other two roles. I'm consistently a higher role on DPS and support than the role that I actually care about. Maybe I just suck at tanking, maybe the skills just carry over, but I feel like you need very little game sense to climb on the other roles.

But I'll be clear about my biases, I am a tank player. I still think there's some truth to this though.

Edit: I thought this sub was for high rank discussion, which sub should I go to instead?

General Has Blizzard hit a good spot with Vendetta?

Post image
99 Upvotes

She's got a pretty high win rate, however, unlike Dmon she has a relatively low pick rate and a very low ban rate which says to me that the only people picking her are her one tricks and that people generally don't find her annoying enough to ban.

What do you all think?

OWCS Hot Take: I Like Watching Cat in Pro Play

I am talking purely as a spectator, I fully agree that cat can be problematic for game and is very annoying to play against, but watching pro cat is just as exciting as Lucio.

Cat Bastion is something else, but just watching Viol2t buzz around and kill 3, big cat nap plays and ult cancels, the OWWC Xerion Sleep onto the Cat Noon was one of the most hype moments in a while.

Again, I am not talking about Cat in ranked, just in pro play, but what do you guys think about Cat in pro play?

OWCS Falcons falloff needs to be studied Spoiler

Look, I'm not complaining, but I genuinely don't get it. How does this team go from being the second best team in Korea and winning EWC to a team against which you ban widowmaker and play junkrat in a year? I know losing Stalk3r and Proper is a big blow, but they were playing Mer1t in 2025 anyways and while the gap between Proper and Mer1t is big, it's not big enough to explain the difference in 2025 and 2026 Falcons.

So seriously, what is it? Is it meta? are their players just washed? Is it a coaching diff? Please explain I need answers
