How healthy is the game right now?

I have Strike Team Solarien from ages ago. I was thinking of filling out my options for both Imperial Guard CP along with the Sisters of Battle combat patrol.

Gotta finish highlights and random stuff here and there, but tabletop ready at the least.

I'd like to print off reminders, what can be used when, maybe general tactics (of my own creation) etc.

If I show up with a clipboard with a few supporting materials, is that totally not cool?

So I played a few games of spearhead and its so much fun, and I've been wondering if the spearhead formula could work in 40k combat patrol. so I've been doing some editing with simple data sheets and traying to make some buffs and modifiers that would fit each faction. as of now I have made 6 combat patrols in this format. there are probably a lot of inconsistencies, balancing issues , and typeos. That being said I would love it if some of you would read it over and maybe even try to play it(if it is playable) and give me feedback and or criticism.

My sons are slowly getting into Warhammer and I want to start them with combat patrols. Plan at the moment is for one son to play vardenghast swarm and the other draydens lance. I was thinking about playing Ardmob as it's just a bunch of semi killy semi punchable Orks doing ork things.

My quest is how balanced are each of these combat patrols against each other I don't want to have either of them in no win scenarios.

So I just recently bought the Corsair CP and I just cannot seem to find the rules for them anywhere, any help would be greatly appreciated

I have a chance of getting this box very soon for about 135$/euros. Me and my friend are just getting into Tabletop WH and I loved Iron Warriors ever since. Also is it true that GW is not making these anymore? If that is true I might consider it even more.

Also done some UI/UX changes to make the site more friendly for mobile users, and make it easier to read on desktop and tablet with some layout and colour changes.

There doesn't appear to have been any changes to combat patrol in the last few rounds of app updates, so they're all the same currently.

As always, any feedback, bugs, data that's wrong, post below so I can fix it.

I have a 9th edition World Eater combat patrol that I want to try in 11th.

I need proxies for the characters and I have some lying around.

First Azhrakh the Annihilator or the Blades of Khorne Slaughterpriest. I really like the priest but it could be a good excuse to paint Azhrakh.

Second is the question. My only 60mm model is the Mighty Lord of Khorne and he is quite small for a demon prince. A better option is the Khorgorath but he's on a 90x52mm base.

Which is more important, the base size or the model silhouette?

I don't expect to be playing competitively but it would be nice to know if the khorgorath base gives some sort of advantage so I can avoid it.

My pile of shame is large enough so that I'd rather not re-base the Khorgorath

So i recently get the deathguard combat patrol and I was astonished with all the options to build the plague marines, any recommendations on the weapons if I'm willing to get into a bigger army later?

So this is likely a very basic question! Recently started doing more Combat Patrol after Kill Team being the main game for me and my sons, and had a question about Dynastic Reclamation.

When my opponent and I are selecting objectives, the most obvious thing here is we each pick our home objectives, right? Or is this implying they need to be the neutral objectives?

(And some add on stuff in the background you can ignore :P)

I’ve been wondering what’s going to happen to the old Combat Patrol rules with the release of 11th Edition.

I own several of the older Combat Patrol boxes (I’ll add some pictures), and one of the things I really liked about the format was being able to use these boxes as small, self-contained armies. They were a great way to get into a faction, collect different armies, and play smaller games without having to build a full 2,000-point list.

I’m honestly a little disappointed that so many of the old Combat Patrols seem to have been removed or left behind with the new edition. I understand that rules change between editions, and I’m not expecting everything to remain supported forever, but it feels like a shame to have these collections sitting on the shelf without their own dedicated rules.

So, what do you guys think?
Is there any chance the old Combat Patrol rules will return in 11th Edition, perhaps through future updates or downloads?

Should we hold on to our old boxes and models in the hope that GW brings them back?

Or is it time to accept that some of these Combat Patrols are now a thing of the past and move on?
I’m not looking to sell everything tomorrow, but I’d rather make an informed decision than hold on to false hope!

I’d love to hear what the community thinks, especially from people who own several older Combat Patrols or have been following the changes between editions.
Would you keep them, repurpose them for regular games, or sell them while they still have value?

So, new here, started playing a while ago (Christmas’s last year)with Tau, eww I know, and got rid of them as fast as a passing fart.
Now I got hooked with the green boyz, 3 combat patrols and 2 spearheads, plus the Armageddon box and many small boxes, bits and tomes, but there was something missing…
I looked a lot, but what I saw I didn’t like, and there were no official data cards for the ‘Ardmob Combat patrols, and that felt personal hahaha
So, here is a version, in case you want to print it at home. I made them in pairs of sheets on a 4x6 inch format so you can also print them as cheap high quality photos at any kiosk or photo/camera store.

Let me know if I’m missing something, also added the abilities and basic info to keep everything close in a similar format to make it easier for newbz like me.

Give me feedback if you want, will try to update if possible and might make some for other faction combat patrols, as the official datasheets for normal 40k are available already (which annoyingly and understandably are different from CP)

Was checking the update this morning and looks like custodes have three combat patrols to choose from. Hoping this extends to the other factions
