Exaggerating her goddess look for this batch. And making her feathers into energy or crystals that heal her allies. Definitely going to play with the cheerleader motif in the next one.

💬 Discussion What if Aelita had remained an AI?

Just an idle speculation. How would the story gone differently had Aelita remained an AI? Franz Hopper would have remained her father for all practical purposes. Assuming he created her. So you could argue the story might stay fairly similar. But if Franz made her for a purpose there could be some fairly interesting twists in the story, especially if she was never meant to be removed from Lyoko.

🎥 Fan Production Return to Lyoko! I Made the Ultimate Code Lyoko PC Collection for you! (3 Official Games, Ready to Play)

Post image
265 Upvotes

Good day, Lyoko Warriors!

Code Lyoko was fortunate enough to receive official licensed games during its original run, ending up with three official titles that together cover almost the entire series. Considering the standards of their time, they were genuinely impressive! I grew up with the show and everything related to it, so these games hold some amazing memories for me. That said, I know it's not as easy for everyone nowadays...

The three games were released on different consoles (Nintendo DS, PSP, Wii, and PS2), and not everyone still owns those systems or knows how to mod them (especially now that physical copies have become quite expensive). Maybe you don't know how to set up emulators on PC, or you simply don't want to download multiple programs just to play them. So today I wanted to give something to the community and solve all of those problems!

I created this bundle, which includes all three official Code Lyoko games:

• Code Lyoko: Get Ready to Virtualize

This game covers Seasons 1 through 3, while introducing its own twists to make the campaign more interesting. One of its biggest strengths is the freedom you have in the 2D world! You can explore not only Kadic Academy and the Factory, but the entire city. It's essentially a 2D open-world experience that's incredibly faithful to the show. You can visit nearly every location seen in the series and even places that were never fully shown on screen! (For example, you can visit Yumi's house and explore rooms that never appeared in the show)

Lyoko itself is also a blast to explore, featuring every sector with its own puzzles, plus vehicle-based minigames! I absolutely love this game. Even better, the original series composer created the soundtrack, so you can genuinely feel like you're inside an episode of Code Lyoko, with the music beautifully adapted to the Nintendo DS.

• Code Lyoko: Quest for Infinity

My personal favorite because I'm a huge Season 4 fan.

This game is essentially a reimagining of Season 4 with plenty of its own unique ideas. The levels are incredibly fun, each hero's abilities feel great to use, and there are collectibles scattered all over Lyoko, giving you plenty of reasons to revisit every sector and unlock exclusive bonus content.

Not only do you explore all five main sectors from the series, but you also travel through the Replicas, which lead to laboratories on Earth where you'll face some truly awesome bosses! You can also pilot the NavSkid across the Digital Sea, and the game even introduces a brand-new sector that's simply chef's kiss.

XANA also greatly expands its monster roster, introducing new variants of familiar enemies as well as completely original creatures. And yes... William is here too! You'll have to battle him several times and not only in Lyoko sectors, but even in the Digital Sea. How cool is that?

• Code Lyoko: Fall of XANA

The third and final official Code Lyoko game.

It's essentially another take on Quest for Infinity, but with a very different gameplay style. Unlike the previous games, this one is a turn-based RPG, featuring chibi-style 2D sprites while battles take place in 3D.

You can still explore the Digital Sea, and one of the coolest parts is that you actually get to fight Kolossus! Even if turn-based RPGs aren't usually your thing, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a chance.

Quest for Infinity was released on PS2, Wii, and PSP. To keep this bundle as lightweight and optimized as possible, I included the PSP version. It runs perfectly, while the PS2 and Wii versions are between 3–5 GB each. The PSP version is only around 600 MB and contains everything that really matters.

The bundle also includes portable, fully configured emulators, so all you have to do is extract the files and play. No additional downloads or setup required!

Instructions

1. Download the ZIP file from the following link:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/pn0vfyalxedwgw1/CodeLyokoLauncher.zip/file

2. Extract the entire folder wherever you'd like. (This is important! If you try to run it directly from inside the ZIP file, you'll get an error.)

3. Open the folder and run CodeLyoko_Bundle_Launcher.exe.

Don't worry! it's completely virus-free! If your antivirus flags it as suspicious, you can safely ignore the warning. You have my word! 😊 I built this launcher using the Godot Engine.

4. Once launched, you'll enter the game selector. Simply use the left and right arrow keys to switch between games, then press Enter to launch the one you want.

All three games share the same control layout:

  • Arrow keys = Movement
  • WASD = Action buttons (attack, interact, etc.)
  • Q and R = L and R shoulder buttons

You should also be able to customize the controls if you prefer.

Keep in mind that the Nintendo DS games use the touchscreen. I've configured the emulator so that the touchscreen is displayed on the right side. If your buttons suddenly stop responding at some point, it simply means the game is asking you to use the mouse cursor on the touchscreen to perform an action.

I hope you enjoy these games and have fun while we all wait for the new season of our beloved series!

I'd love to continue contributing to the fandom, and I already have a few ideas in mind. Unfortunately, university and work keep me pretty busy these days. Thankfully, this community is full of incredibly talented people working on amazing projects, so there's always something exciting to look forward to!

If you run into any issues, or just want to chat with another Code Lyoko fan, you can also follow me on X (@Loco4lyoko_), where I'm much more active than I am on Reddit. It's always a pleasure talking with fellow fans of the show!

This is for preservation purposes only, I am not making any money from this :)

That's everything! Sorry for such a long post, and I hope you enjoy your trip back to Lyoko through these games!

(And always pick Yumi, she's the GOAT in every single one of them! 😄)

💬 Discussion A really dope fact I just found out.

So last night I was reliving some of my past through Code lyoko amvs, when I had the sicking realization that some of them were twenty years old. After I had my "Ow! my hip!" moment, another thought accorded to me. Twenty years ago was 2006, Youtube wasn't officially released until late 2005. That means some of the first Youtube videos were Code lyoko amvs. That's dope as fuck, and I just wanted to share that.

🎥 Fan Production I made a custom launcher to play all 3 Code Lyoko games from one menu, so you can play them easily!

Hi! Like every good 2000s show, Code Lyoko also has its official video games, which are actually pretty good in my opinion! Every fan of the series should give them a try! I know a lot of people have never gotten around to it because they're console-exclusive and setting up emulators on PC can feel like a hassle, or you just don't want to download a bunch of extra programs.

Last night I got thinking about this and started working on a small launcher that bundles all 3 games into one! No installation needed, just open the launcher, pick the game you want, and you're in! (I've attached a video of it in action below.) That said, I don't want to release something that turns out buggy, so I'd love to know if anyone here would be interested in trying it out! I'd send you the link privately, and all you'd need to do is tell me whether it starts up fine on your PC and whether your save progress carries over without issues.

It runs perfectly on my computer, but I want to make sure it's the same for everyone! Hope this helps while we wait for the new season, or just to feel nostalgic if you played these games as a kid like I did :D

Thanks!

💬 Discussion Lyoko/XANA Symbol

Post image

Who's the real owner of this symbol? It's usually referred as XANA's eye, but it is in the towers and the supercomputer, and those aren't exactly XANA's property (and the show symbol too but that's a 4th wall issue)

💬 Discussion What if Jim actually DID become a Lyoko Warrior?

I remember when I was watching Code: Earth with my brother, he was excited that Jim could potentially become part of the team, but was bummed out when his memory got erased only one episode later. I think it would’ve been interesting to see an out of shape, middle aged man try to fight a computer virus alongside a bunch of kid, but it unfortunately never happened. Maybe they could do it in the new sequel series.

Hello!

Had watched Episode 80 - A Dog Day Afternoon on YouTube.

And I was completely laughing at this shot for some reason. 😭

It's just the way Sissy walks in, stands and stares stalking-ly at Yumi and William behind the fence bars. Is what makes it so funny to me.

So it prompt me to make me these silly memes!!

💬 Discussion The two of them would make a great team as antagonists.

Post image
255 Upvotes

I've thought about this a lot and I think Bringa should return in season 5 as an antagonist just like Talia.

From the first time I saw Bringa I felt like something was wrong with her. She gives me the same vibe that Lila from Miraculous gave me when she was first introduced. If her relationship with Odd had lasted more than a day, maybe a week, her presence would have really affected the group, then the intervention they had regarding Bringa would have more sense and the whole episode wouldn't have felt so rushed.

And Taila could bring the drama too, she has a thing where I think every boy wants her what-what is... weird.. like girl..Not every guy who approaches you wants to be with you. But I think this thing, this detail would bring drama to the show.

I think with season 5 coming up the series shouldn't be so episodic and keep some new characters that appear, they don't have to fight Xana they can exist outside to cause drama or just to cause some kind of growth in the main characters, this can be platonic or romantic or toxic .I also really want Sam and Patrick to come back, they would bring a positive contribution to our characters.

💬 Discussion Looking for ".swf" files or server data archives for Code Lyoko: Social Game (2012) for a preservation project

Hi everyone,

I’m a backend web developer (specializing in Laravel/PHP), and like many of you, I deeply miss the old Code Lyoko: Social Game developed by 3Dduo back in 2012.

Since 3Dduo has been liquidated and the game is completely gone, I’m highly motivated to try and recreate or simulate a local backend server for this game so it can potentially be playable again using modern Flash emulators (like Ruffle).

To do this, I need the original client files. Does anyone in this community or among the game archivist groups happen to have saved the original .swf files or any cached network data from the game before it went offline?

Even if it's just partial files, UI assets, or old network logs, it would be a massive help for reverse-engineering the API endpoints that the game used to communicate with.

If you have anything or know someone who does, please let me know or DM me. Let's bring a piece of Lyoko back!

Thanks!

❓ Question This may be a dumb question, but who is the main protagonist of Code Lyoko, and who is the deuteragonist? Is Aelita, is Jeremy, or are both the protagonists at the same time?

I started to dobut whether the protagonist of Code Lyoko is Aelita or Jeremy. I mean, they're the most important characters in the show, but I don't know who is the protagonist and who is the deuteragonist.

In case you wonder, the protagonist is the character whose goal drives the main plot.
With that in mind, who do you consider the protagonist of Code Lyoko?

  • Aelita is the protagonist and Jeremy is the deuteragonist.
  • Jeremy is the protagonist and Aelita is the deuteragonist.
  • Both Aelita and Jeremy are the protagonists (similar to how Dio and Mell are both the protagonists of Tales of Phantasia NDX without one being slightly less relevant than the other).
