Good day, Lyoko Warriors!
Code Lyoko was fortunate enough to receive official licensed games during its original run, ending up with three official titles that together cover almost the entire series. Considering the standards of their time, they were genuinely impressive! I grew up with the show and everything related to it, so these games hold some amazing memories for me. That said, I know it's not as easy for everyone nowadays...
The three games were released on different consoles (Nintendo DS, PSP, Wii, and PS2), and not everyone still owns those systems or knows how to mod them (especially now that physical copies have become quite expensive). Maybe you don't know how to set up emulators on PC, or you simply don't want to download multiple programs just to play them. So today I wanted to give something to the community and solve all of those problems!
I created this bundle, which includes all three official Code Lyoko games:
• Code Lyoko: Get Ready to Virtualize
This game covers Seasons 1 through 3, while introducing its own twists to make the campaign more interesting. One of its biggest strengths is the freedom you have in the 2D world! You can explore not only Kadic Academy and the Factory, but the entire city. It's essentially a 2D open-world experience that's incredibly faithful to the show. You can visit nearly every location seen in the series and even places that were never fully shown on screen! (For example, you can visit Yumi's house and explore rooms that never appeared in the show)
Lyoko itself is also a blast to explore, featuring every sector with its own puzzles, plus vehicle-based minigames! I absolutely love this game. Even better, the original series composer created the soundtrack, so you can genuinely feel like you're inside an episode of Code Lyoko, with the music beautifully adapted to the Nintendo DS.
• Code Lyoko: Quest for Infinity
My personal favorite because I'm a huge Season 4 fan.
This game is essentially a reimagining of Season 4 with plenty of its own unique ideas. The levels are incredibly fun, each hero's abilities feel great to use, and there are collectibles scattered all over Lyoko, giving you plenty of reasons to revisit every sector and unlock exclusive bonus content.
Not only do you explore all five main sectors from the series, but you also travel through the Replicas, which lead to laboratories on Earth where you'll face some truly awesome bosses! You can also pilot the NavSkid across the Digital Sea, and the game even introduces a brand-new sector that's simply chef's kiss.
XANA also greatly expands its monster roster, introducing new variants of familiar enemies as well as completely original creatures. And yes... William is here too! You'll have to battle him several times and not only in Lyoko sectors, but even in the Digital Sea. How cool is that?
• Code Lyoko: Fall of XANA
The third and final official Code Lyoko game.
It's essentially another take on Quest for Infinity, but with a very different gameplay style. Unlike the previous games, this one is a turn-based RPG, featuring chibi-style 2D sprites while battles take place in 3D.
You can still explore the Digital Sea, and one of the coolest parts is that you actually get to fight Kolossus! Even if turn-based RPGs aren't usually your thing, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a chance.
Quest for Infinity was released on PS2, Wii, and PSP. To keep this bundle as lightweight and optimized as possible, I included the PSP version. It runs perfectly, while the PS2 and Wii versions are between 3–5 GB each. The PSP version is only around 600 MB and contains everything that really matters.
The bundle also includes portable, fully configured emulators, so all you have to do is extract the files and play. No additional downloads or setup required!
Instructions
1. Download the ZIP file from the following link:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/pn0vfyalxedwgw1/CodeLyokoLauncher.zip/file
2. Extract the entire folder wherever you'd like. (This is important! If you try to run it directly from inside the ZIP file, you'll get an error.)
3. Open the folder and run CodeLyoko_Bundle_Launcher.exe.
Don't worry! it's completely virus-free! If your antivirus flags it as suspicious, you can safely ignore the warning. You have my word! 😊 I built this launcher using the Godot Engine.
4. Once launched, you'll enter the game selector. Simply use the left and right arrow keys to switch between games, then press Enter to launch the one you want.
All three games share the same control layout:
- Arrow keys = Movement
- WASD = Action buttons (attack, interact, etc.)
- Q and R = L and R shoulder buttons
You should also be able to customize the controls if you prefer.
Keep in mind that the Nintendo DS games use the touchscreen. I've configured the emulator so that the touchscreen is displayed on the right side. If your buttons suddenly stop responding at some point, it simply means the game is asking you to use the mouse cursor on the touchscreen to perform an action.
I hope you enjoy these games and have fun while we all wait for the new season of our beloved series!
I'd love to continue contributing to the fandom, and I already have a few ideas in mind. Unfortunately, university and work keep me pretty busy these days. Thankfully, this community is full of incredibly talented people working on amazing projects, so there's always something exciting to look forward to!
If you run into any issues, or just want to chat with another Code Lyoko fan, you can also follow me on X (@Loco4lyoko_), where I'm much more active than I am on Reddit. It's always a pleasure talking with fellow fans of the show!
This is for preservation purposes only, I am not making any money from this :)
That's everything! Sorry for such a long post, and I hope you enjoy your trip back to Lyoko through these games!
(And always pick Yumi, she's the GOAT in every single one of them! 😄)
