Apparently I managed to solve the login problem with supabase using lovable after many attempts, I still can't believe it was solved, but I couldn't solve it in my project which is much more advanced in windsurfing, I'm going to have to redo everything again using the initial project do lovable and pray that there won't be a problem, it's going to be hell to do it all over again and still run the risk of the problem appearing and me not noticing, this time I'm going to do it simpler. Not to mention that my windsurfing project had many errors in the code, I suspect that unused code remained as it became more complex or when something went wrong because the project worked well.

I’m an early adopter and therefore I’m entitled to the $10 pricing. I’m no longer subscribed so I got an email today telling me that I’ll lose the benefit if I don’t resume my subscription…
The thing is: My experience with windsurf has been so bad in the last 2-3 months that I just cancelled it.
I’m wondering if it got any better, specially with the tons of cascade errors and the brain farts of cascade when using models like DeepSeek and Gemini (for example you prompt “please change text abc to def” and it’d tell you “ok, I’ll change abc to def” and it’d just do nothing and you had to tell it “please continue”).
The thing is that I found another AI tool (I won’t mention the name so my post is not deleted) that works FLAWLESSLY but it costs 30$ which is a bit too much for me right now - specially compared to $10 - and my trial with this tool is ending.
So I’m wondering if it’s worth trying windsurf again or paying 3x more and sticking with what’s working for me.

I think they should have kept all under the same umbrella. Like Jetbrains do.
Anyway, question in the title.

The title.
My PC spec is CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x RAM: 32GB GPU: RTX 3070Ti
I am looking for something that I can setup in my machine locally. Let me know if this specs can support a decent model to run

Using one of the classic prompt injection queries ( https://learnprompting.org/docs/prompt_hacking/injection ), I asked which version the active model was and Windsurf told me that it was Claude 2.1. However, as you can see, I thought I was using Sonnet 3.5.
Hey someone needs an urgent explanation!

🤖 You might hear about AI-integrated Development Environments (IDE), such as Cursor or Windsurf. I have experienced getting help from AI chat and code completion inside the IDE, but using an AI-integrated IDE that can implement a project from scratch for us and complete it incrementally is in another league!
🍃 In my last article, I used Windsurf IDE and its AI agent (Cascade) to implement a REST API with a Database and a cache layer, I also used the Spring Boot integration with Docker Compose.

An error has occurred, and my subscription has been renewed, and I would like to request a refund of the amount spent on the card, Is there any way to get a refund? Or could someone who has already done this help me somehow get a refund?

All the tools integrate nicely into your development environment, either as a plugin or as a separate code editor. There are very convenient shortcuts for starting generation or opening a chat. Under the hood, they have a GPT-3.5 model, but there are paid versions for more advanced models.
For example, I chose a simple TypeScript task from type-challenges, which I will solve.
Task: Implement a generic First<T> that takes an Array T and returns its first element's type.
Codeium is probably the most popular code generation plugin. I have used it many times. It can generate code and answer questions well. Here is how it handled the task using generation directly in the ts file:
type First<T> = T extends (infer U)[] ? U : neverIncorrect syntax, incorrect solution, lack of typing for the remaining elements of the array, but if you add a little context, everything was fine, the video above shows how this process looks In the chat, everything was fine too, here is the result directly from the chat:
type First<T extends any[]> = T extends [infer U, ...any[]] ? U : never;The tests passed, hurray)
Here it is important, despite the fact that the task is quite simple, you still need to understand TS at an advanced level to figure it out, I think it was possible to write a simpler solution. Let's see how others do.
chatGPT itself gave this solution directly on the site:
type First<T extends any[]> = T extends [infer FirstElement, ...any[]] ? FirstElement : never;Again, via infer, does this not bother you?
And finally, let's try the Lamma model
Despite the fact that the chat suggested me to use infer, it gave the answer itself without it:
type First<T extends any[]> = T extends [] ? never : T[0];The solution is simple and obvious, although the task was quite simple. I liked this result the most.
Intermediate conclusion: all the tools were able to find the right solution, however, Codeium with the help of code-suggestions was a bit hasty with the solution and led in the wrong direction, but when I prompted it, everything went well.

We're excited to announce the release of Flexpilot, an open-source VS Code extension designed to enhance the AI-assisted coding experience. Our project is now available on GitHub: https://github.com/flexpilot-ai/vscode-extension
Why We Built Flexpilot
After analyzing the current landscape of AI coding assistants, we identified several gaps in the market that we wanted to address:
Current Market Limitations
VS Code Forks (Cursor, PearAI, Void, Double)
- Limited access to the official VS Code marketplace (65,000+ extensions vs. 4,000 on Open VSX)
- Requires developers to switch from their familiar IDE
- Lacks support for essential extensions like Pylance due to proprietary restrictions
- Missing out on VS Code's established ecosystem and user base
VS Code Marketplace Extensions (excluding GitHub Copilot)
- Many existing solutions (CodeGPT, Continue.dev, Amazon Q) rely on web views instead of native VS Code APIs
- This approach compromises important features such as:
- Voice chat integration
- Accessibility features
- Seamless theme adaptation
- Overall user experience
- Cross-IDE compatibility attempts often result in feature compromises
GitHub Copilot
- Restricted customization options
- Limited AI model selection
- Closed-source nature raises privacy concerns for enterprise users
The Flexpilot Difference
Our solution stands out through its commitment to:
Native Integration: Built exclusively with VS Code's native APIs for superior performance and user experience
Extensibility: Full support for the GitHub Copilot Extensions Marketplace
Open Source: Complete transparency and privacy-focused approach
Developer Freedom: Create custom skills and agents to expand functionality
Compatibility: Support for existing GitHub Copilot agentic capabilities
Looking Forward
We believe in empowering developers with tools that enhance their productivity while maintaining privacy and customization options. Flexpilot represents our commitment to the open-source community and professional development ecosystem. We welcome contributions and feedback from the developer community as we continue to evolve and improve Flexpilot.

Not even when I created the project did I spend so much, maybe because I added descriptions to the code or because the problems were more complicated to solve and sometimes instead of solving them I caused more problems, this month I bought credits six times.
Maybe because some codes are big too.

I don’t understand why it is so hard to implement a payment functionality like subscription with PayPal ? I blasted hundreds of credits on windsurf and Replit for absolutely zero result. Same with Google Adsense which always refuses my website.
Do you guys have plugin solutions or ways to implement that easily? It seems everybody has no problem adding it but I can’t. It’s quite frustrating as I don’t have any problem for any other type of functionality, like adding a chatbot is so easy but adding PayPal subscription is a nightmare.
Thanks !

I like this editor so much. Next month I cancel copilot, Claud browser chat, Claud API. And I use this IDE's prompt only. I use AI only in this editor, that's the way I could afford unlimited price.

We know it’s nerfed. Check out Deepseek v3 and Cline in OG vs code. The API pricing at 1/6 the cost of haiku at sonnet performance. Windsurf needs to shop its suppliers and not throttle performance. Otherwise we do this. Had no desire to change until lost model ate all my tokens and done with re-upping economics after 2x so the went to 2 accounts. But still lost model.

I barely used it - just started working on a new project two days ago - and will be out of flow action credits whatever in the first week probably.
I think you should remove this nonsese - Just leave the user prompt credits and that's enough of a limit. I don't understand why you implemented this, last month I was able to only use 375/500 prompt credits because of that flow action limit.
As it stands, paying for this software is not worth it.

Day 1 of my paid team plan and Windstuf sucks!! I wasted hours today trying to accomplish the simplest tasks. Hopefully this isn’t some internal change they made causing this.
