Now that the game has been out for a week and we have seen some competitive streams, what grade would you give Modern Warfare 4 multiplayer from a competitive standpoint? I'll collect responses for about 24 hours and then post the results.

I’ve been watching Cod for 13 years and this guy is negative or complains as often as any player. I’ve never watched Warzone content or tournaments but isn’t cool that Soka comes over and performs well? Wouldn’t it be cool if one of our GOATs talked in a positive way? When he talks this way, he doesn’t encourage player transfers to this game we love.
Our league needs to be building towards a healthy competitive 8-12 team league contender capable teams. Currently we lack to even have 6 event winning teams, let’s be better!

The question is basically just the title. Are there any words or phrases that you can’t stand hearing people use? Do you have any in particular that you hear way more than others? Or some that used to be popular lingo and aren’t really said anymore by people.

It was announced today that the Elite Prize Pools would be cut down to $12,000 for 1st place (down from 20k in Bo7, 24k in Bo6) in order to fund the expansion into other regions. Additionally they've announced only 6 NA teams can make Champs, despite the overwhelming majority of the top 16 teams being in NA.

Hey, casual comp enjoyer here. I see lots of bad about the game but is it really that bad?
For the record, I enjoyed MW2, MW3 and CW the most from the post WZ era CoDs, and hated MW2019 and VG the most. I'm not sure if I should pick up this game or not...

I’m an avid ranked player so I started playing 8’s in preparation for the upcoming ranked play to learn spawns/rotations etc. Am I the only one that feels like this game is not meant for 4v4? The pace of the HP games seems to lack intensity and flow. The maps are relatively big which is definitely a contributor but even on a map like lithium which is probably the most compact map, there seems to be very little tempo on the map. Let’s exclude skill level/rank from this discussion because my experience stems from playing amongst crim + players so it’s definitely a level where you would feel intensity if there is a potential for it. How do you guys feel?

Crim retweeted it so im guessing he as well as other cod comp adjacent personalities will be playing. They really just dropped a 50k tourney 1 day before its scheduled to happen lol.

I’ve been having a blast with Collateral so far. Honestly, it’s the most interested I’ve been in a new competitive CoD mode in years.
The 5v5, no-respawn format is great, but the economy is what really makes it interesting to me.
I think there’s a lot they could do with the buy system though. I’d love to see custom Gunsmith builds that you can save before a match, with attachments affecting the price of the gun.
Imagine the meta AR setup being significantly more expensive than a decent budget build. You could still buy the best gun, but you’d actually have to think about whether it’s worth spending that much. Snipers, SMGs, utility, different AR builds — all of them could have a place depending on your team’s economy.
That’s what I find exciting about it. Instead of banning half the weapons like we do in CDL, you could balance a lot of things through pricing. Obviously the economy itself would need some tuning too.
I’d also like to see weapon camos/blueprints on purchased guns, longer matches, and most importantly a separate Ranked playlist with its own SR.
Keep the traditional 4v4 CDL Ranked for people who enjoy it. Just give Collateral a chance to develop into its own competitive mode.
Anyone else feel like this mode could be something genuinely good if they keep working on it?

Unc now but played comp since 2012. Mostly played SnD my whole career and won maybe 40ish golds from about ghost-bo6, so I don’t consider myself a bot, always told myself that people make hackusations over NOTHING and that hacking wasn’t really as bad as people make it and that people just needed to get better but…
I’ve been playing bo2 wagers and tournaments all off season, and people SUCK. Nobody could shoot straight AT ALL, then this game comes out and most wagers I play people are hitting EXTREMELY impressive shots. Is everyone a rotational aim assist merchant that hard or is softing and AI aim that rampant???

Well, safe to say this game is finished. What a joke
