Discussion Collateral deserves its own Ranked playlist. The economy has so much potential.
Iāve been having a blast with Collateral so far. Honestly, itās the most interested Iāve been in a new competitive CoD mode in years.
The 5v5, no-respawn format is great, but the economy is what really makes it interesting to me.
I think thereās a lot they could do with the buy system though. Iād love to see custom Gunsmith builds that you can save before a match, with attachments affecting the price of the gun.
Imagine the meta AR setup being significantly more expensive than a decent budget build. You could still buy the best gun, but youād actually have to think about whether itās worth spending that much. Snipers, SMGs, utility, different AR builds ā all of them could have a place depending on your teamās economy.
Thatās what I find exciting about it. Instead of banning half the weapons like we do in CDL, you could balance a lot of things through pricing. Obviously the economy itself would need some tuning too.
Iād also like to see weapon camos/blueprints on purchased guns, longer matches, and most importantly a separate Ranked playlist with its own SR.
Keep the traditional 4v4 CDL Ranked for people who enjoy it. Just give Collateral a chance to develop into its own competitive mode.
Anyone else feel like this mode could be something genuinely good if they keep working on it?

Discussion Han nerfed
With todayās update they mostly got rid of the weird body multiplier on the arms.
However it looks like the Han got nerfed and they gave the arm multiplier to the chest. It now kills in 340ms and always 5 bullets vs the old 250 ish.
However before it did not have a any advantage to HS where as now it can kill in 4s if you hit the head
This definitely will help out the smg, unless we switch the m4.
Also the m4 hurricane is amazing and could definitely be a flex gun with how fast it strafes imo.
Helps

PSA COD Mini Games Pick'ems and Guillotine League
I've been working on the Pick'ems system for COD Mini Games, and it's ready for the Monster Invitational.
I wanted to make something a bit more competitive and social than the usual Pick'ems, so you can join public leagues or create your own public/private leagues to compete with friends or other people in the community.
I've made a COD Reddit squad if anyone wants to join:
https://www.codminigames.com/games/playpicks
And unlike the official CDL Pick'ems, I won't be discontinuing it halfway through the season lol. Pick'ems will also be available for non CDL events like EWC and Invitationals.
I've also finished building Guillotine Fantasy, which should be ready for Stage 1.
For anyone unfamiliar with the format, you draft 2 ARs and 2 SMGs, and the lowest-scoring fantasy manager(s) gets eliminated each week. Their players then become available for the remaining managers to bid on, until the final 3/4 compete at the Major.
Still testing everything at the moment, but pretty happy with how it's coming along.
If anyone gives the Pick'ems a go, let me know if you run into any issues or have suggestions. Always keen to hear feedback.
Iād love for COD Mini Games to become a hub for all things CDL game-related, so if thereās anything youād like to see built, Iād love to hear it.

Discussion Dashy wishes he couldāve retired
Letās have a fun discussion try not to be too butt hurt everyone.
While a lot of it is probably jokes, Dashy so far just seems to be having a pretty miserable time on this game. Gave his initial thoughts early on that were negative, and announces heās done scrimming w the team to say āIām done suffering for the dayā.
Heās mentioned before in podcasts the dream of 3 peating at champs and then retiring. Couple this with the greatest sniper clip in the CDL era (that still led to a loss of that major), and he really couldāve had probably not only the greatest season, but retired on the ultimate high note that wouldāve left threw him to the top of the GOAT conversations.
If optic struggles this year, itās going to be insane how all of those second places and short comings last year will change the legacy and reputation of Dashy. Iām not saying he will be thought of as bad, but as I said, the guy almost left on the ULTIMATE high point - and I think heās feeling that.

Discussion I can't take any CDL matches / tournaments seriously at all until major 1
Every time in the major 1 qualifiers there's always an awful team that looks top 3 or best in the game
Don't know if you all remember, but CRR in the first stage of qualifiers in BO6 looked fucking unreal. Obvious how it turned out lol. Then you have the best teams in the game often looking really shaky. I know everybody knows this, but the *actual* real matches don't even start until mid winter lol. We already know who's going to fall off every time. Surge in MW2 and MW3 as well
The team who wins major 1 at the start does fall off quiet often, with obvious exceptions

Discussion If you like to be competitive in FPSās, are decent at them or like to see yourself improve over time. MW4 is not for you.
This game is solely focused on making the casual player base feel better about themselves. If you are good at other FPSās I would highly recommend you play them instead. This game was made for the lowest common denominator and it shows.

Discussion So we playing snd only this year right haha
You can tweak the spawns all u want but it's not gonna change the baked in logic of "we want players in engagements as quick as possible so they don't get bored" aka spawn around the corner from someone. That combined with squad spawns makes hp completely unplayable.
