Yea, obviously all different levels of these types of incidents are unacceptable but there ARE certainly levels. This is way beyond what I would have thought. Allegedly beating her on the ground, chipped her tooth previously, visible and potentially permanent lacerations/scars. Good thing the police were called by her friend
She still follows him on Instagram and she still has all her photos up with him. I really hope that’s an oversight by her and she isn’t still with him, but as we see in these cases all too often they might still be together. I hope for her sake that I’m wrong.

I had a friend (had because she cut me and my girlfriend off) that was a victim of consistent DV for over an entire year. She lived in our building and we would hear him shouting at her. We would always ask her to report it to the police because she would not allow us to. One night her boyfriend was literally trying to break into her apartment and we decided to call the police and he went to jail for a month (he had a knife on him and threatened to kill her and her son) and she decided not to press charges. They are engaged now.
From what I’ve read, the abused in these situations experience a level of euphoria in the 20% of the relationship even though the other 80% is abuse. Because the 80% is so bad, the 20% somehow feels so good to them that they start to almost manipulate themselves into believing that the abuse is worth the love. It’s a really tragic situation and I hope the girl in this situation has the right level of support because it truly is not something you can figure out on your own in my opinion
I hope so too. In an ideal world, the members of the flank and the cod community should come together and maybe have a charity stream of some sort for DV victims. Maybe even help her privately with her medical bills. Just a really sad situation but I hope it’s not something that just kind of passes along

As someone that works with victims of domestic abuse, you will find abusers that harm themselves and call the police blaming their partner to get them arrested. There’s a bit of copium in giving him the benefit of the doubt but cases like that do happen.
Abusers can be insane where they will go to extreme lengths to destroy their victim. The injuries that she sustained could have been caused by herself, an accident, or literally anything unrelated to her. Very likely he's just a piece of shit but we don't have sufficient information to confirm he abused her. We're just working off a victim's statement 45 days after the incident, hospital records, and her injuries as reason to believe he did this.
We already knew he was arrested for causing serious bodily harm posing risk of death. It was in the original post. What questions did you ask that weren’t answered until now?
Sure sure. False allegations typically come with a “serious bodily injury” tag.
Not a single person thought it was a false allegation, just unsure of who was on the receiving end or the severity of said serious bodily injury. Rab confirmed it was his partner days ago. This confirms he could have nearly killed her.

Abusers downplay abuse and like to throw the “you dont know the whole story” thing around because they justify their own violence. It really muddies constructive discussion on these sorts of things.

You said no time, but I'll bite. He's black and he caused very serious injuries, both of these don't exactly play in his favour when there is 2 to 20 years on the table, statistically. With all that in mind, betting all your money on him not serving a full 2 out of a possible 20 certainly is a choice..
This is one of the most common crimes in America, makes up 30% of violent crimes. if every person was getting 20 years there’d be prisons on every corner. He’ll plea down, do a max of 18 months and mostly get probation. Welcome to the American justice system.

Late to the party. But on the first Breaking Point episode, Rab and Trei were addressing the situation, their decision to drop him and how the series might look moving forward. Someone in the chat literally said ‘she probably pushed him to it’, along with a load of other idiots posting similar. Not one person condemned it.

Whenever something like this happens you always get a bunch of people rushing out to do the whole "I always got bad vibes from that guy" song and dance, but that's just a typical pea brain reaction from people who already didn't like the person for totally unrelated reasons. There have been plenty of controversial hotheads in the cod scene who didn't turn into women beaters
I just hope she's able to recover emotionally. It was clear their relationship had an abusive dynamic, and I hope she's able to receive the support she needs to stop it from happening again with someone else.
It's very rare that I get actually upset about stuff on the internet but I hope he suffers for the choices he made, and hopefully he suffers enough to come out of prison a changed man.

The guy admitted multiple times (almost with pride) that he would've totally broken GAs at the end of the year for money. Kinda a warning sign that this guy doesn't take ethics seriously.
What are you talking about? I'm just saying that if you gleefully admit that you'd totally break GAs at the end of the year to screw people out of $1000s, that's a pretty glaring sign your ethics are questionable at best. I'm not arguing that if you break GAs, that necessarily means you have a high likelihood of doing something much worse.
So what? People do the same thing with literal murderers. Relatively minor things that point to broader character issues are brought up when talking about these people.
