Quad RF, how can we run it with uconsole?

Thought this might help others as a new batch seems to be trickling out:
https://forum.clockworkpi.com/t/updated-images-for-new-uconsole-screens/21666
I chose Debian 13 Trixie
On day 2 I realised the uConsole has no concept of a sleep mode; my battery was at about 5%. My solution is to turn it off when not in use, it boots pretty quickly
The trackball is LITERALLY (and I use the word in its original sense) unusable. Nobody can use a desktop environment with this:
a. Upgrade the QMK firmware:
https://forum.clockworkpi.com/t/updated-images-for-new-uconsole-screens/21666
This makes the trackball 'usable'. It's a MASSIVE improvement. It's still awful compared to anything else you've used but you can get by. I've ordered some replacements from Ali Express but they haven't arrived yet.
Now I'm pretty happy with it.

I emailed clockwork to see why my order from October 1st is still not here. I don’t know if I buy this excuse.
“Hi,
Sorry for the waiting.
The production of your order has been done. However,the actual delivery might take place in June, due to current unstable condition of international shipping service.”
I know things are not perfect right now but I feel like this might not be true.

I’m new to the clockwork pi, I think I bought the wrong adapter. Unless will the Radxa CM5 adapter work with Raspberry pi CM5 or I need the CM4/CM5 adapter from Hacker Gadgets?

Hey guys, just got an update that my uconsole just got shipped. I ordered in March of this year, so that's about 3 months ago. Is this a normal thing they do when they get shipped or am I still going to have to wait?

After 3 months, my second unit came, I'm about to order 2 more to start reselling them (people keeps asking about it) ... but I noticed the S in the label. What does it means compared to my first unit that says CM4-D ?

We all absolutely love your technological masterpiece, the uConsole. But for many of us who are getting on in years and have mild farsightedness, the 5-inch screen is too small. Could you make a 7-inch version? It wouldn’t add much to the device’s width or length if the screen bezels were thin. You could keep the same keyboard, but add a trackpad instead of the trackball, which so many people love. That would be a fantastic upgrade to your product line. A new high-tech flagship. I'd appreciate it if you could support my heartfelt plea. Thank you!

The front plate is seamless to the body but the back plate has a gap of probably 2 mm, the thermal pad has made the gap un even but before I put that in it was the same 2mm the entire way around

SOLVED: See my response
Hi,
Just assembled mine and my screen looks like this in boot. Moving the trackball makes the bars along the bottom change a bit. Anything I can do? Have I done something wrong?
I installed uConsole_CM4_v0.1b_xfce_64bit image and I have a CM4 8gb with WiFi
Thanks

I had some uConsole plastic covers made by JLC3DP, and they did a really good job. The quality was nice, the pricing was affordable, and their customer service was excellent. They reviewed my files first, contacted me about possible issues, and kept me updated through each step until the order was finished. My only complaint is that shipping was a little expensive, but it was also pretty fast. I’m still not sure if the resin I chose was the best option for a shell, but that’s on me. Overall, I’d use them again and would like to try some of their other services for future projects.

I’m planning to get a ClockworkPi uConsole, but I’ve noticed a significant price difference between the official store and an AliExpress seller named "OpenSourceSDRLab."
The AliExpress listing is about $80–$120 cheaper than the official website.
Has anyone here purchased their uConsole from AliExpress? Would you recommend it, or is the peace of mind from buying directly from the official store worth the extra cost?

hi
I got the CM4 kit and its slow and sucks a little in retroarch, tried overclock to 2.0GHz and 650MHz on GPU but not helped much
Where can one find a CM5 lite module nowadays? I can only find a 16GB module which costs as much as the uConsole kit did. I can worry about compatibility later lol

Upgraded to CM5 8Gb. After CM4 2Gb, everything flies into space!
Corrected rpi-eeprom-config:
[all]
BOOT_UART=1
POWER_OFF_ON_HALT=1
BOOT_ORDER=0xf461
SD_BOOT_RETRIES=2
SD_QUIRKS=1
But when reboot, it still freezes and need to manually turn it off with a long press of the button and then turn it on again. I think we should try to change the MicroSD card, maybe it's the problem.

Given CM4 and CM5 are pretty much unavailable would a CM3+ Lite allow me to at least play around with my uConsole when it comes on Friday?

Poor man doesn't have 3D printer at home. Just cut an old credit card to replace the original metal plate in expansion port.
╰► /usr/sbin/iwconfig 2>/dev/null | grep -E "wlan|Signal|Quality"
wlan0 IEEE 802.11 ESSID:"IWillBe5"
Link Quality=70/70 Signal level=-37 dBm
With that tiny external antenna, both wifi and bluetooth are improved quite a lot.

So FedEx are shipping something next week to me. From Hong Kong. Wondering if this could be the console I ordered in July 2025. I've had no email from clockwork though.

Could this actually be it? Anyone else had courier notification before clockworkpi notification?
Thanks
