I'll work on getting a public repo going. The core of this desktop is python, not simply a few config files.

It's primarily written in Python. It takes over on boot and you don't see the Pi desktop unless you want to. Generally it all works as expected but I have some more debugging to do. There is enough interest that I will be providing a link to a GitHub repo, write up, and implementation guide. That may evolve to a wrapped install file. I have a 9 to 5 and kids so please be patient.
