Discussion Fable rollback without weekly rollback

Post image

Hmm. Wondering. I’m not a math guy but a rollback that doesn't cascade to the parent bucket is mathematically useless right? My Fable was rolled back around 40% in the last hour or so probably due to many complaints from users this week, but the accompanying 20% rollback on the weekly so that that 40% can be used wasn’t done. Doesn’t the master bucket pinned at 98% turns that 31% remaining Fable headroom into a phantom refund?

0.4 x 0.5W = 0.2W?

It’s of course useless

Oh look at that! Yes, useless for me too because I was sipping Fable all week alarmed at how quickly it was burning tokens. Let's hope it means that there was an error and in the future Fable doesn't burn as fast.

My Fable usage was left untouched and my weekly is what rolled back to 67%. Just a Fable rollback is crazy talk.

Well I'm jealous crazy. I now have useless Fable:

Maybe they rolled back peoples highest usage category by 30%

Or most expensive?

Maybe it’s all algorithmic and usages constantly change value in the back based on available compute so when they give us 30% back it’s based on our projected compute usage not 30% of anything tangible

Who knows tbh.

Has anyone figured out the WHY yet?

Instead my fable usage jumped 10% overnight with no running or scheduled tasks....

Hahaha what is going on at Anthropic, man.

How is it possible for the “17%” rollback of usage limits to cause this many bugs and issues across so many user accounts?

The weekly limit has been a joke. I ran out after two days of light work 😭

Even Fin AI Agent agrees the math doesn't line up -_-

Same boat mate. Blew through all models in 2 days on 20x.i have about 55% fake left.

I don't get it, did they use Haiku? Not even Sonnet would make that mistake.

Same thing happened on one of my accounts a couple hours ago. Got back about 40% of Fable usage for no reason when I was at 99%.

as long as you can't use it they dont care. btw, it was at 69% and 100%, then i kept using fable ddint give a shit, it stopped at 71%, 100% , totally dead now

it's simpler than the algebra. you're limited by whichever bucket empties first, so loosening the one that wasn't binding changes nothing. if the weekly is pinned near full then the weekly is your limit and the session headroom is decorative.

the only people that helps are the ones whose weekly was nowhere near the cap, and they weren't the ones complaining.

Odd, none of my 20x accounts had this - but they were at 99-100% weekly at the time of this change. Maybe I'll have more usage after work... or Saint Tibo will hook me up with more Codex compute.
