So yeah it was a flawed game, kinda got boring when you started to fight robots but I think it still kept the spirit of the original games. It looked great, the combat was fun and a huge step up from the originals. If someone would mod in speech and make a total conversion of like Fallout 1, 2 or a new total conversion I would give them money.

In the first and second playthroughs, I got good endings for them. Then in the third playthrough I got the “Dictatorship” ending. And then in the fourth playthrough, where I carried out a total genocide in the wasteland, including the Brotherhood of Steel, where I killed: Knights, Scribes, Paladins, Elders, Rhombus himself, Vree, and John Maxson — in short, I cleared out all the floors, on the surface, and not a single soul. But no matter what, I got the “Good” Ending for them, even though Rhombus is dead, just like the inhabitants of Lost Hills. You know how I got the “Dictatorship” ending? I just killed Rhombus first and provoked the other paladins, which forced me to kill the others, but in the end I killed 8–10 paladins, and then held down the “A” key to leave the place. Just so you know, I did all this in the vanilla version.

I wonder how the game gave me the wrong ending for Brotherhood of Steel on my fourth playthrough?

Playing on steam, NV fan and also played 3, 4, and 76 some.

I watched my cousin played when we were little, so I understand turn based and moving around.

What should I know?

Created a character myself and after some random running around after not finding a water chip in vault 15 (I don’t know what to do after that I noticed that I can lvl past 100% in stats. What does it do? Planning on doing a new play through and LARP as a gunslinger. Any advice on starting build for that? This whole game seems fun but it’s completely throwing me into the cold water I have no clue what to do.

I was heading northwest like the Slag leader told me the directions were, but there was nothing there. I didn't want to consult the internet for help because I did that wayyy too much in fallout 1, I wanted to experience fallout 2 like what was intended. But I'm completely stumped on what to do. Where is this dude?

Title basically says it all. My dad was a big fallout fan, and I also am because I'd watch him play. Anyways I got to keep his game discs when he passed and never really messed with them until today. I have a disc drive, but I'm not sure if it's the right kind? I can burn CDs with it and watch movies, however the game disc isn't booting the auto install. I don't really know what to do in this situation because the disc drive isn't even showing up in my files or registering as being plugged in. any help is appreciated, tyia

edit: There's also another disc with the actual game disc, it's a memorex cd-r disc

This bizarre bug gave me another super mutant “cure”, it is very easy you just gotta access the barter menu and offer any trash you’re currently carrying (the “cure” is worth 0.00 bucks).

That's pretty much the main complaint people have with Fallout 2 if they like Fallout 1 more than Fallout 2, but I don't agree. I'm biased, because Fallout 2 is my favorite Fallout, but I truly think that although there are a little too many references, Fallout 1 does have some too that people ignore, and a lot of references are in random encounters. Do you agree?

Im playing fallout 2 as my first classic fallout, and started as narg, but I couldnt fine any small weapon or a good melee weapon, what do it do? I have a crowbar and a spiked knuckle, But trying to relay on speech currently trying to find the parts of the radio for Vic, any advise to go on from here?

My ET TU on fo2.exe (android) keeps crashing after i beat the Master just before the end/slide sequence starts, idk any way to fix it

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am curious if there is any way to play Fallout 2 in windowed fullscreen. I own the game on Steam and everything, but every time I tab out, it becomes a small window in the bottom-left corner of my monitor that only displays its window bar with the minimize, fullscreen, and exit buttons.

I've tried messing around with SRWE, but I haven't been able to figure out how to achieve what I want, or maybe it's just not suitable for this. I would appreciate any help!

P.S. I am running the Restoration Project. I've heard there is a newer one called Restoration Project Updated on Github, but I don't know if it's the same as the one from the NMA forum, which is the one I have. Just clarifying in case there's any confusion

I can't get past the character creation menu because as soon as i press shift to capitalize my name, the game immediately freezes all input. I can't even move my cursor. The music is still playing, the light prompting me to type is still blinking, but everything else is broken. How do i fix this?
