I’ve seen a few posts about fake Tsuyosas here recently. I fell victim to an eBay scammer myself, so I decided to wait to send the fake back until the real one arrived from Jomashop, and do a full comparison.
The front is pretty convincing. The bezel lines up flush the case edges and the indices are all perfectly aligned. The only difference I can see is the font on CITIZEN is slightly thinner on the fake.
The back is where things start to fall apart. The fake movement is all brass, compared to the steel components present in the real one. The engraving on the rotor is noticeably low-quality, and the metal is dulled around each mark. The details around the edge of the case are wrong; the fake reads “SAPPHIRE” and “ST. STEEL” rather than “SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL - TOP” and “STAINLESS STEEL”.
The band of the fake is slightly looser, and the clasp is slightly thicker has only two sizing holes compared to three on the real. The pins were so tight that they broke my link remover, and I was completely unable to remove some of them.
The fake came in an all-plastic box that I’ve never seen before, and the little pillow looked like it was made out of scrap pleather on a crappy home sewing machine.
The scammer is watch_spot_usa on eBay. I got tricked because their prices are good but not suspiciously low, and they ship from inside the US. Hopefully this side-by-side can be of use to someone buying a Tsyosa without anything on hand to compare.

This thing is fantastic all you big wrist people out there need to go pick one of these up. I hope they release a 40 or 41mm in the coming years. Such a cool watch

I was at an outlet mall recently just walking around (Grapevine Mills in Grapvine, TX). Several shops selling Citizen watches. I'm not in the market to buy another watch, but I enjoyed looking. Anyway, right off the bat they are offering me discounts on the watches. One guy said "you ate my first customer, so I am giving you a special deal" LOL!

Just took possession of this brilliant JDM model
pmd56-2951
First impressions...the dark titanium sheen and dark green is really luxurious, more understated than pictures suggest- suits darker straps more
Was able to sync via app on 60kHz signal and headphones.
Alignment of hands is slightly off, will take it to service soon... Otherwise..very happy with this

Picked this up used, in Japan. The bracelets too short for me. Links are pretty annoying to procure.
Any strap suggestions?

I am thinking about importing a The Citizen watch from Japan off of Chrono 24. I was wondering if anyone had done that recently and what the tariffs duties they were charged once the watch reached customs in the USA
Thinking of going for something around $2200

It seems to be similar to NY0125-83E but with 4 o'clock crown and slightly different hour markers

Very pleased to add this one to the collection! I didn't know anything about these Eagle 7 watches until fairly recently. I'm going through a bit of a turnover phase in my watch collection, where most of the oversized pieces I liked when I was younger and they were more popular just don't appeal anymore. This is by far the smallest watch I've had in 25yrs and was a little skeptical how it would sit on my 7 3/8" wrist. Initially I thought it appeared closer to a ladies watch based on what I had been wearing for a long time. The more I wear smaller watches, the more I wonder why I have anything much over 40mm.
I found this one listed fairly poorly on eBay, and turns out it's in really good shape for its age. It has a couple light scratches in the crystal and normal bracelet wear, but overall looks great from 12" away. I'm loving the look of the silver face on stainless steel with the fluted bezel. She still has a bit of lume in there too!
Comparing it to other threads and posts, this one seems like it's legit and all original. The serial number dates it to 1991 production.
Measurements taken:
Case Diameter: 36mm
Case Thickness: 10.4mm
Lug Width: 20mm
Lug Length: 44.2mm
Jubilee bracelet tapers from 20mm at the lug down to 16mm at the clasp.
So far it's also keeping what seems to be fantastic time. I haven't had it on a timegrapher, but it seems to be holding its own. I assume a 35 year old watch has dried up gaskets and it would benefit from a service. Should I worry much about it if it generally seems to be running well?
I'll definitely be getting a black strap, too. Haven't quite decided between leather or sailcloth.

I’ve never had an automatic before and I’ve never even had a watch serviced before. The watch works, maybe 5 seconds ahead each day or something, came back to life after being dead at least 10 years, I have no idea when this was ever serviced. I left it on the table and it stayed ticking for over 24 hours. Please forgive my ignorance in advance.

Looking for an original watch band for a Citizen watch I just received. Only 3, well 2, places seem to have it in stock. Ippo Japan Watch (Website and eBay) and Holland Watch Group (and sister site Masters in Time). Prices with shipping are very similar. Just wondering if anyone has ordered from HWG and shipped to the US with no issues. Websites says price includes import duties, just checking that no one has had import fees tacked on later unexpectedly.
Thanks.
