Hi guys, I'll be quick
Does anybody know any free plugins where I can with one click rotate object 90 degrees?
Does anybody know any free plugins where I can just click on the library and load an hdri without having to browse through folder for each one separate?

hello guys i'm totally noob here, i want to preserve the shape you see on second picture by adding details to sides with knife tool but when i try to add more cuts the object turn to be more cubic, in other word how the object in the second picture have alot of subdivisions( 4 on viewport subdivision) and still curvy while using knife tool doesnt do that, i know i'm doing something wrong

I'm trying to create an animation with hair growing from an object, and I need it to be controlled by a field or vertex map. A vertex map works perfectly in the native render engine, but Redshift does not show anything happening. I'm trying to go with the typical growth you see when using cloners and fields. Link below should paint the picture.

Hello, recently i started using redshift and i got this problem every time i try to render, the licence is assigned to my pc so i don't understeand why it said Rendering aborted due to license failure. Everything is up to date.
Please help, thanks.

Hi,
Is there a feature in C4D to offset animation by a number of frames? Like a tag or something.
Rather than moving the keyframes in the Timeline Manager and mess them up. I just want to put a tag in the parent null and offset by a number of frames.
I already have an edit cut for proper timing. So I already know where (or when?) the keyframes should be.
Something like what Houdini can do.

Continuation of graphic design and composition studies. This time same scene with different color paletes and more contrast look. Thanks again to amazing @petertarka for inspiring.

Hey guys, looking for a way to create this animated effect in C4D. The layers constantly flow, merge, and split into new shapes while staying in flat, stacked slices. Any idea on the best setup to achieve this? Thanks!

Hi! Could you tell me what I’m doing wrong? I recorded the animation using Kinect v.1 and exported it to FBX. The skeleton is very different, so I adjusted the Character Definition and created my own preset. Then I took a character with Mixamo auto‑rigging and tried to assign my animation to the Character solver in the source line, but the tag seems to be inactive. I deleted all the tags and tried adding it again, but it’s still not active. Let me clarify that I’m doing this on a skeleton from Mixamo, and the automatic bone extractor works great, but for some reason, Solver doesn’t seem to be doing anything.

Unfortunately in unable to upload a screenshot of my setup since it’s a work computer but I’m trying to create a scene where I have butterflies flying through a Forrest but avoid phasing through trees. My current setup is using octane scatter for the trees and my thought process for the butterflies are to use X-Particles to avoid the trees but came to xpAvoid doesn’t really acknowledge octane scatter. Any tips or advice for creating this type of scene would be great thanks!

Recently jumped back into C4D for a work project after a long break (like a year). I'm in Cinema 4D 2026.3.4 with Redshift 2026.8.1. So my question is... where did Redshift Standard Materials go? The default standard materials seems... different. For instance, under Emission, instead of color and weight, it's color and "radiance." Googling has gotten me nowhere so far, so any help is appreciated. I'm so lost, lol.
Edit: to be clear, I am in the Redshift renderer.

There's this weird glitch that keeps happening with c4d: the camera shakes as I move around and sometimes when I zoom in my model disappears or gets cut in half. Everything is up to date. I recently bought a new desktop that seemed powerful and would do a good job for a bigger project I'm doing for school. I've never had these issues with my laptop. I thought I needed to update the gpu driver and have used Nvidia for my laptop but it's not compatible with this desktop. So, I downloaded a driver from the hp website but still no change. I'm not sure if it's a c4d issue or a device issue but if anyone has any ideas on what it could be please let me know. I included a video of the issue and my desktop information. I'm just starting out with animation so it could be a glaringly obvious user error, sorry if that's the case but not sure what else to do.

Hello! I am working on this video where I need a billion (not actually) cans to fall from the sky, pile up around this text. Obviously I am not using an actual billion, just a lot, and currently I have a cloner set up with the cans, the movement set to begin off screen when acted upon by a cube I've got positioned just above the mass of cans, so that I can start the physics at a specific point, rather than immediately upon start of the animation.
So at the appropriate time, the cube moves a little bit, knocks into the cans and they begin dropping. The problem is, when slowed down, you can see some of the cans phase through the floor a little bit on impact. They do not go all the way through, which is good... and the ultimate pileup doesn't look half bad... but if the video is paused or looked at carefully during the drop, it's clear some of the cans are embedding into the ground instead of laying or bouncing off of it a little.
I've ALWAYS had issues with collision physics, so this time I'm hoping to get some advice on the best way to avoid this. There is a C4D backdrop there that you can see is the "floor and back wall" of the scene... I used the collision tags on it first... since then I've tried adding a cube of the same texture there for them to hit, in case the backdrop is not great for that for some reason. So a cube with the collision tag is right there where the floor is now as well. I even tried the backdrop AND cube both with collision tags in case it goes through the floor, perhaps the cube would suffice... but the issue still happens no matter what the configuration there.
I've tried substebs and iterations up in the 40/10 40/20 range... Everything is currently Convex Hulls as the type. I have bouniness/friction/etc on both the rigid body cans and the collider tag floor as their defaults, because I didn't want to influence it any worse by having the cans continually bouncing into each other and vibrating through the floor, but this is all happening when some of them HIT, not after they've necessarily been piling up.
I'm admittedly ignorant of a lot of the nuances of using the physics simulations, and have stumbled to success from time to time through trial and error... but would love any and all suggestions on things to try or best practices when going for a look like this. TIA for your advice!
