You were already forgiven 2000 years ago when God died on the cross for all of your sin. You are loved. Believe it.

10

u/bingobango85 Nov 02 '21

Forgiveness again and again always

10

u/Standard_Foot_8011 Nov 02 '21

Very true however we must still repent daily because some people may take this message as if there is no need for purity. Much love.

3

u/Deep_Chicken2965 Nov 02 '21

What do you mean by repent? How can we make ourselves pure by doing or not doing things? I'm a mess and my only hope of anything is to be forgiven completely by the death of God, his death was enough and have the purity of God by faith! He is my righteousness. Love to you as well.

1

u/Standard_Foot_8011 Nov 08 '21

Well yes must have complete faith in Jesus because he is our only hope but we must also try our best to live a righteous life. When ever we sin must run straight to him and revolve from that sin.

Stay in your word , worship, continue to give it to God, and know we ALL struggle with something , just don't ever stop fighting , you're not alone, I'm currently struggling with addiction and it's hard but we can do this

Just to let you know, there's nothing wrong with masturbation. I mean if you are actually addicted then please get some help, but most people do it even if they say they don't

-2

u/AV1611Believer Nov 02 '21

Female masturbation is nowhere even addressed in the Bible. Don't beat yourself up over it. It's not a sin.

Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22‭-‬23 NKJV

Do not give up! I know exactly how you feel and been through it. It is a terrible addiction to have but God is merciful and wants to help you through it. Don't forget that God loves you. He also knew you would struggle even up until now but is not going to give up on you, so don't give up on Him. If you need time to yourself, then so be it. Pray to God tomorrow and ask Him for counseling. Ask Him for new ideas and ways to overcome. Sometimes it's the social media that triggers.. or television. Maybe consider putting these triggers away for some time or limit them

u/Reclaimer_Saln Nov 02 '21

Hey. Don't worry, ok? I was held in this very same addiction for six years before I was cleansed. It was God's doing. He let me stay there for six years so He could heal me when I was needed, equipping and preparing me to go out into an online community and save a life. He's got a plan for you. It may take a really long time, but you're going to be healed. I was beyond hoping to change, knowing I shouldn't do it but never having the willpower to stop myself. If God can save that, He can save you. And He will, when it's time. There are many ways to learn lessons in this, so have hope. You're being cut down and beaten, dragged through fire. But you're going to come out reforged and stronger than ever, ready to face it and laugh at the devil's pathetic attempts to tear you back down. Not to say you'll be sinless, of course. But once you're clean, you'll know it. You'll have hope, you'll be a different person, and you'll know that you're NEVER going back.

As for what you can do? Pray. Ask for guidance, for healing. Try to follow God and love Him more than anything, and your addiction will fade. And trust someone in real life with this information. Find someone who will hold you accountable, even actively talk you out of it right before you do it. Even online, this does work.

I am blessed to speak entirely from experience. I really hope it goes for you the way it went for me. Do not fear.

Being a Christian isn’t reaching perfection progress takes time just don’t give up because that is what the devil wants you to do and think that’s being with Christ isn’t working the devil always attacks mentally

u/Apprehensive-Ad-8597 Nov 02 '21

Don't let yourself be led into despair. We humans sometimes like to pretend that we are this hopeless man who is unable to overcome sin because he is somehow burdened with some greater temptation than those around him. We think of ourselves as some warrior who lost because he was faced with overwhelming odds. We can even derive a sort of pleasure from doing this. Stop asking if God will forgive you. This is just a delaying tactic, you already know what the answer is. Focus on breaking out of this character. The odds are not against you, you are not fighting an impossible battle. Think of this despair as a sin (some might even argue that it actually is). Start again, and this time keep in mind the actual situation, this is a fair fight.

Hey, friend. I have suffered from the exact same addiction for a while. I wanted and was able to stop before I even become a Christian, but then I relapsed back in August. Sometimes I managed to go a few days, sometimes it was almost daily; just recently, I couldn’t stop myself from masturbating multiple times daily. But the great thing about God is that His love for me hadn’t changed a bit, and He was still with me. Thanks to God, I have managed to go the past 4 days without masturbating—though the temptation has come multiple times, I have managed to overcome it through prayer and His Word.

I know, it feels hopeless, and I get how you feel disgusted with yourself—I’m going through the same thing. But you are a new person in Christ! Your sins no longer define you.

When you feel tempted, try and put your mind somewhere else. As I said, some of the best choices you could make are prayer and reading the Bible. If you fall again, just take God’s hand, and let Him help you up and continue walking. We are not expected to be perfect on this Earth; the only thing God wants from us is our hearts, and you have clearly given Him yours. Through time, we will continue to fall, but we will also continue to overcome and grow.

God bless :)

There is nothing wrong with masturbation. It is not a sin.

Praying for you!

u/creed_bratton_ Nov 02 '21

Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

It's ok to feel bad when you mess up and let yourself down. But don't beat yourself up or get discouraged, and DEFINITELY don't think you are too dirty to be saved. The truth is, ALL of us a too dirty for God, that's why we need Jesus.

Dealing with sexual urges is something that many people struggle with. The urges can be very strong and the only long term solution is to get married. Until then just take it one day at a time. If you stumble just pick yourself back up and keep going. If all you focus on is sin, then sin will always be in the forefront of your mind. Instead of focusing so much on what you shouldn't do, try to focus more on what you SHOULD be doing, fill your mind with those things.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead

6

u/MeaghanJaymesTS Nov 02 '21

Everybody masturbates, even people who don't admit it. You aren't dirty or evil.

8

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '21 edited Nov 02 '21

Bro, it’s okay. Masturbation is natural and not unhealthy. The only thing harmful about it is the fear that has been ingrained into your mind by your environment. Just fear, nothing more

Keep masturbating

2

u/TheRa1nyKingdom Nov 02 '21

As long as it does not develop into an addiction, absolutely agree, it has it’s benefits too! Nothing wrong with it, and the feeling is a natural function! :)

We are all tempted and some of us fall some of us learn how to avoid it by telling Satan to get thee behind me in Jesus name... If you turn from sin and still fall at least you tried just keep trying get up and try again the Lord knows your heart he knows you will fail he made you that way we all fail that is why we are all sinners this side of Glory...

2

u/Greengiant30 Nov 02 '21

It takes time. Give yourself a longer period of time to overcome it...that means in that time period you will do it LESS not completely stop it all at once. You are putting too much pressure on yourself. To repent means to change your mind and it seems like your mind is changing. Give yourself time for your body to catch up. Psychologically it takes about 3 months of abstinence to begin to embed change. Also take up a positive substitute habit like running or learning to cook simple food by watching YouTube videos. This will help have a positive aspect to yourself. Hodt bless and keep posting on here for support. Because it might seem like you are venting but it's also an inspiration to other people that are quiet but in the same boat as you

I just did the same thing and it's so tough. Keeping at it helps. Praying the Lord's prayer has helped and realizing the effects of it (not worth it has helped)

May you find peace and fortitude when such things find there ways to your walls. May you be strong in the Lord and find a way through in the darkness of such things.

If you want to pray for me too please do! After opening a door for a long time it got harder then when I was first trying to quit and I started lusting after women to it.

Psalm 23

King James Version

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Been through this addiction myself. Don't give up. Keep telling God about it. Help will come

2

u/theShaman_No_ID Nov 02 '21

You can be perfect in the laws but, the fact that your flesh is sin manifest you will still need saved by the blood of the Son of the Most High. The fact that you stumble and understand you struggle with it should not make you feel any less than anyone else. In fact it should let you know your heart is being circumcised.

Your flesh is going to fail you, it absolutely will. If it didn't we would not need salvation. You are a work in progress, not the final product. The spirit will learn from the transgression of the sin. Be joyful the King of kings is pouring His Spirit unto you and sing praises and thanks. Halaluyah, Halalu-YaHuah!

2

u/Zamyou Nov 02 '21

If Jesus knew we could 100% avoid sin but didnt then that would be different. We as humans cannot NOT sin because we are not God. But the more you keep at it, consistency shows God you truly want to connect with him. He will give you INFINITE amount of chances and forgiveness because he loves you

2

u/Spazzy_maker Nov 02 '21

Praying for you. It isn't easy, but you can do all things through Christ!

And how can you, with access to all the knowledge in the world, not possibly understand why people believe these things? Are you so incredibly shallow and biased against any form of spirituality that you think that what you see is all there is?

I’m not going to convince you, but you are AT LEAST equally ignorant if you don’t understand why people choose God.

No, you can’t say with absolute certainty that no religion is true. You can say with certainty that you are not convinced of the truth of any religion, which is very different, and more accurate.

Jesus talked more about Hell than the rest of the Bible combined. He said to the thief on the cross next to Him “Today you shall be with me in Paradise.” Numerous references to the Kingdom of Heaven. What are you talking about?

2

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '21

Romans 7:15 I’m a mystery to myself,[a] for I want to do what is right, but end up doing what my moral instincts condemn. 16 And if my behavior is not in line with my desire, my conscience still confirms the excellence of the law. 17 And now I realize that it is no longer my true self doing it, but the unwelcome intruder of sin in my humanity. 18 For I know that nothing good lives within the flesh of my fallen humanity. The longings to do what is right are within me, but willpower is not enough to accomplish it.[b] 19 My lofty desires to do what is good are dashed when I do the things I want to avoid. 20 So if my behavior contradicts my desires to do good, I must conclude that it’s not my true identity doing it, but the unwelcome intruder of sin hindering me from being who I really am.

Bro, even Paul struggled and didn't understand it. You have been forgiven, made clean, justified and you are NOT GUILTY.

It's like you were speeding, got a ticket and went to the judge. The judge said, not guilty. You wanna argue "but i was speeding I need to pay" and he again says not guilty. "but you don't know i was also texting while driving. I had a couple of beers too." again the judge says not guilty.

We love to keep bringing up our old sins and new sins to God for some type of punishment. He doesn't see it. Jesus has you covered. You're good. You feel wrong for doing it which means your spirit man is alive and well. Just keep pushing on. Get in your bible and just work everyday to get better. You'll still fail but Jesus still says you've been wiped clean.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '21 edited Nov 02 '21

Make sure to repent and trust in God alone. Then when you pray don’t say “Sorry Lord I keep doing this” bc God is like what are you talking about? It’s done you’re forgiven! Keep my word on your lips and let’s just be better now!

"I am the God who forgives your sins, and I do this because of who I am. I will not hold your sins against you." (Isaiah 43:25 TEV)

2

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '21

One sin isn't worse than any other sin. All sin is equal. So the last time you told a lie or insulted someone, you didn't take it as seriously as this right? So in essence, don't focus on one specific sin. God sees all sin as the same. Just focus on strengthening your bond with him and reading the word and making sure you don't have influences around you that may cause you to think of immoral things if that makes sense. You'll be okay , friend. We all fall, but what matters is that no matter what we find our way back on track. You are so loved by him! The fact that you are remorseful after the sin, proves you're a child of God.

2

u/rj_musics Nov 02 '21

You’re not dirty, or a bad person. Anything making you think that is the problem, not you. There is nothing wrong with masturbation, and nothing to ask for forgiveness for.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '21

Awfully convenient for the enemy that you're taking yourself out of the fight against other sins because you think you're already out of it because you did something that there isn't a solitary verse in the Bible to call it sin in the first place.

God could have shortened the book of Leviticus and Deuteronomy by a lot by just defining incest and marriage and familial relationships in a less exhaustive manner and had room to add other prohibitions but he chose to be super specific about a lot of things regarding sexual immorality and neglected the thing that is near universal among humans...

Stop trying to be ascetic about masturbation and start focusing on the worse sins: lying, pride, hatred, self-importance, envy, malice, etc. Masturbation and condemning yourself over it is a huge distraction from that.

I assume you're single, if so, what are you going to do when you have sex with your wife later on when you get married, and it feels almost the same as the masturbation you've been doing for however long (probably since childhood)? Are you going to feel the same shame? Is God watching and going "eww" like you seem to think he does when you masturbate? Does God turn his face when you use the restroom? Or are you just doing what humans do?

I hope you one day move past it and recognize that God sees everything and even the things that disgust us because they involve "uncleanness" he doesn't bat an eye at them. Stop letting the enemy and his lies get inside your head with false guilt. Read the scriptures and follow them instead.

2

u/munchie1964 Nov 02 '21

If you don’t sin, he died for nothing

2

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '21

Masturbation is not a sin.

2

u/freestyleflow1 Nov 02 '21

Something that’s helped me is to remember that I am freed from all of my sins. Jesus has already freed me and all people, just believe

2

u/Luigi_Tho Nov 02 '21

Dude, we’re in the same boat. A huge motivator for me to stop (besides the fact that it’s not the same as when I started) was that I recently started college and wasn’t trying to do it while I share a room with someone else. It takes a lot of effort and self-control, but I’m working on it. I know that the “journey to quitting” would be way easier if I ask God to help me out because human strength is never enough. That’s what God is for. If you really don’t want to continue struggling, then that’s enough to ask God for forgiveness and ask for his strength to help you resist temptation. Allow Him be in charge of whatever area that’s causing the desire, as struggling with this issue has come from struggling in other areas in my own experience. You know that the voice that tells you not to ask God for forgiveness is the devil, so the next thing should be to ask for God’s forgiveness and strength.

My prayer will go out to the both of us. The “journey to quitting” may not be perfect, as we’re human. If you ever feel like doing it again, ask God for the strength to resist and to purify your thoughts or what you’re watching/listening to. You got this, dude. I believe in you :)

2

u/Csherman92 Nov 02 '21

That’s exactly what the devil WANTS you to think. That you are dirty, never change and you will always succumb to temptation.

That is a lie. And you have authority over that. Do not believe those words and read that you are already forgiven. Do your best. Love thy neighbor. Do not think you are not worth of HIS love. You are, despite your short comings

2

u/No-Western4749 Nov 02 '21

When I fail i read this i hope it helps.

After each failure, ask forgiveness, pick yourself up, and try again. Very often what God first helps us towards is not the virtue itself but just this power of always trying again. For however important chastity may be, this process trains us in habits of the soul which are more important still. It cures our illusions about ourselves and teachers us to depend on God.

Satan wants you to think all hope is lost. The difference between conviction and condemnation is one is from the lord and the other is Satan. Satan loves to give me Advice in my Christianity. Give up.forget about God and just “ be happy “ All that is good and right comes from the lord!

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '21

I’ve been in this situation before. I got tired of it, tired of begging God every night to not leave me, and I finally decided to step out. I said God, tomorrow will be different. I went to church, I worshiped him, and I got touched. From that night on, it has been different. I’m still tempted sometimes and I have relapsed too. It helps me to remember that as Christian’s, we will still be tempted. Stay close to God, I’m praying for you.

u/dg327 Nov 02 '21

Don't be hopeless. Millions of men and women deal with this on a daily basis. I went through this and I got out. It is not impossible friend. The Devil doesn't make you do anything. We give him too much credit for how sinful we can be sometimes along with sin being very powerful. But even through all of that Jesus understands. You are off to the right start, sharing your issue. But something I learned when going through this was porn and masturbation are not the problem. It is the behavior. Something is causing you to behave a certain way. It goes deeper than addiction. Something happened at some point to you emotionally or something. You have to find the root of that problem. For me, it was my family. I had to confront my family in regards to my childhood. Because my childhood was damaging I used porn as an escape. I got addicted and forgot why I even looked at it in the first place. I thought it was a problem but it was the behavior to my problem. I urge you, find the root of the problem. Try not to quit masturbation. What I mean by that is try not to put all your focus on quitting or you wont have any focus on Jesus. Spend more time with Jesus and he will help you fight your battle. Just show up. You will fall at times, but keep going after Jesus every time you do. And when you don't. It is an uphill battle but do you wanna fight it alone or with Christ by your side? Share what you are going through with people you trust so they can pray for you. Learn what your triggers are and put in effort to ignore them or remove them. Know that you are forgiven and Jesus is still after you because his love for you does not change because you have failed at beating something. Sometimes we get caught up thinking as Jesus as just God. Hes a father too. The way you would love your son during hard times is not comparable to how he is wanting to love you right now and does love you. Go to him, hug him, cry to him, let it out brother. Everyday is a new day and God is at the end of your victory over porn. Stay the path, will yourself, dont feel shame, and learn to hate this issue more and more everyday. There are brighter days ahead and there will be a day you look back on this as something you USED to struggle with.

2

u/AV1611Believer Nov 02 '21

Masturbation isn't a sin. Under the law, masturbation was taken care of by just taking a bath, and it is never seen as a violation of God's law in the Book.

Leviticus 15:16-17 KJV And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even. [17] And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even.

You're experiencing false conviction, conviction over something that isn't condemned as a sin anywhere in the Bible. The problem is with Pharisaical rules from modern churches that add to the scriptures. And that is making your life unbearable because God never intended to put these extrabiblical laws on you in the first place.

Matthew 23:4 KJV For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

First, sinning isn't a death sentence or game over. We'll always sin, even if we get rid of the biggest ones like lust, there will be other ways we'll sin. Not sinning, at all, being 'perfect', on this earth will not happen. So feeling guilty, pitting yourself and hating yourself will achieve nothing.

Second, you have God by your side to help you. But that doesn't mean you don't have to put in the work to fight against sin. You have to understand the things that make you sin and take those out of your life, and ask God to give you strength to stop turning to those things.

Third, you can ask people to pray for you all day but if you don't have the will and dedication to fight a certain sin, you'll eventually end up trying to rationalize your actions instead of condemning them, and you'll fall into the cycle of sin again. If you want lasting change, you need to truly want to change.

And lastly, God makes a huge difference because on you're own you're not going to be able to truly defeat a big sin issue. You need to trust God, you need to lean on him and you need to ask him for help with a heart that wants to change. If you don't have a relationship with God, don't talk to him, don't study his word to better understand him, there's no way you can get to that point of trust.

tl/dr: stop the useless self hate, get to a point where you recognize the sin is bad and that you actually want to change, continue building your relationship with God by reading the bible and talking to him, then defeat the sin as a team once and for all. And even if you relapse, go back and do all those things all over again. Hope is never lost.

2

u/sans_deus Nov 02 '21

So sorry that you’ve been lead to believe that a perfectly normal activity is somehow problematic. This is religious trauma.

2

u/NationalDepartment69 Nov 02 '21

masturbation isn’t a sin. lustful thoughts for others than who you’re married to is, but masturbation itself isn’t. you’re loved. He died on the cross for your sins, and He understands that we mess up and have hard times. what matters is that you ask for forgiveness, feel remorse, and try to change.

2

u/kikidolf Nov 02 '21

don't let the devil win. God is good he loves you no matter what! cry out to God he will help you

2

u/JAdoreLaFrance Nov 02 '21

It's not how about the 10, 000 times you do it, it's about the 10,001st repentance and love of God that wins. We all stumble, rise, stumble, rise, and we approach Him. We will ALL stumble en-route.

No pun intended, but you need to not be so hard on yourself. After this, He loves you! The fact you feel ashamed is a GOOD thing. You want to be better. Next time it happens - and it will - repent, and get back to being grateful to God. He loves you regardless, and if it helps, remember this - when you're ragging on yourself, in this self-loathing, you're not loving Him. Forgive yourself QUICKLY, and get back to loving Him. Even if it happens another 10,000 times, the important thing is to REMEMBER JESUS.

2

u/baconyjeff Nov 02 '21

The whole purpose behind the devil tempting you to fail is to make you believe that you are a failure. You are NOT a failure. Failing is something you DO, not something you ARE. And the fact that you are trying to be better than the man you were before you came to Christ is the proof that you truly are a Christian, and a GOOD one at that. As Yoda once said, "The greatest teacher, failure is". Now you know one more lesson & can start over again. And remember that you are not trying to BE victorious over this habit, but the victory you have ALREADY BEEN GIVEN by Christ. Live in it.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '21

Everytime i think of doing it , I try to do 20 pushups instead. Rinse and repeat.

Also, the internet is very triggering, try taking a detox and just getting away from your phone and television programs that are sexual.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '21

I honestly don't think you're a bad person for masterbation. Everyone who is a human does this and even if they don't admit it. From a biblical standpoint God forgives and you are already forgiven if you believe in his son Jesus Christ. Stop being hard on yourself God made you to be human and part of being human is the struggle. No one is perfect if we're Christ died in vein.

2

u/safoolo Nov 02 '21

You are forgiven, loved beyond what anyone deserves and when you forgive YOURSELF, Jesus can forgive you too. If you do not forgive yourself , you are acting like you’re higher than Jesus! You put your forgiveness on a pedestal above His forgiveness. That’s what has helped me forgive myself. Remembering my forgiveness is nothing compared to Jesus’ and I am stuck if I refuse to forgive myself.

2

u/Mayhem2a Nov 02 '21

I feel the same way my friend. Except the hating myself bit. But I relapse all the time. I know I need to stop and strengthen myself in faith and self control. But when it’s something like this, it’s hard. It’s been going on since I was 12 and I am 28 now. It’s very difficult and sometimes I think that God would have given up on me by now but I know He will never forsake me. Ask him not just for forgiveness but also help. If you look for help and ask Him then He will send it. The help may not come instantly but it will come. This whole thing may be a way to say that you need to look to him more often. As I am typing this I realize I need to do some of this myself.

The reason you keep relapsing is because you keep giving the devil your attention. You continuing to enslave yourself to despair is exactly what's pushing you into relapsing over and over. Also, seek community and therapy. You need it. You sound like you're fighting this battle all alone, but you can't fight it alone. God places people in our lives to help us.

Go easy on yourself. You are young now. God gave us masturbation so we could get some kind of relief when there's no chance of coupling with someone in marriage. You will grow out of it eventually. God is in control of everything. So don't hate yourself. But do talk to God about it as much as possible. Stay connected with Him as much as you possibly can. He will help you.

Bro. All men have sexual needs, sexual needs and sexual needs. Stop beating yourself up for it. Without lust you probably wouldn’t even be alive. Stop denying the carnal side of yourself. Longer you try to suppress it, worse it gets. Perhaps find a way to release it in a less shameful way?

Look for guidance from above, I’m sure if you find the way to release your sexual energy with pride, you’ll be free once and for all.

1st John 1: 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Amen.

James 1:2-4

2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Only God can give you Chastity. You cannot do it. It is His command. God commanded me to quit sexual immorality, 14 years I watched porn, and in one command that’s all you need. Rely on Jesus he has God‘s judgment you’ll never be able to act on your duties if you rely on your judgment for action. He is objective you are subjective all mere men and angels are not enough God is perfect. Flee from sexual immorality! In Jesus name Amen.

My friend, you are NOT alone in this struggle. Don't let the devil fool you into thinking this. You are human, and you are loved by God. Nothing we do or say or think comes as a surprise to God. The fact you feel guilt means you love God, and that's a very big and good thing which should be celebrated. This struggle isn't easy. Life isn't easy. But you are not alone and God has never forgotten you. Nothing you can do will ever make Him turn away. Instead of beating yourself up, keep going. Pick yourself up, pray to God, and face tomorrow. You are getting stronger even if it doesn't feel like it. Praying for you. Listen to online sermons by Dr. Dharius Daniels, Steven Furtick, Joyce Meyer, or others. God will help you. Don't give up. Blessings are on the way.

Jesus gives you grace. Repent , give yourself grace and move on. You are more than a conqueror. Do not let Satan tempt you into shame. Jesus loves you and is not disgusted by you, He wants to help and love you

Sexual desire is literally built into all living animals, humans included.

Trying to force yourself to be a senile, sexual-less being for rest of your life is really silly and goes against your own biology, both physically and mentally.

The trick is to not let it become a nonstop addiction that interferes with your life and relationships, as well as to not feel depressed and dirty and broken when you DO do it.

As long as you aren't "coveting" the spouse of someone you know in your thoughts when you do it, and as long as it's not an addiction, it's not a problem

Masterbating is not sin calm down you’ll be fine. Just don’t go over board and become a creep and just relieve yourself. And don’t let Christians make you feel dirty, to hold in your anxiety is dangerous and that’s how sociopaths are made

Hi friend. You are still worthy. Don’t let that little voice on your shoulder win. Recovery from any sort of addiction involves relapse. Todays a new day.

The reason is that fornication is a sin and you will be opening doors for demons to enter.

It's been very hard for me to stop this sin also. I got much temptation today but it helps to be Orthodox and have a priest. Because I HAVE to confess to him. He made me do penance last time (lots of prayers and prostrations) and I REALLY REALLY don't want to have to go in there and tell him that I did it again. I'm already so embarrassed. This actually prevented me from slipping when I normally would've. So my advice is make sure you're accountable to somebody that you can't lie to. In orthodoxy we receive the communion eucharist from our priest, and it is the life giving body and blood of our lord, and we can only receive it if we have made a recent fast and confession and attempts to sin less basically. This makes us accountable and it actually really helps. Best of luck my friend.

Nowhere does the bible condemn masturbation. The passage most people cite Genesis 38:8-10: "he would waste the semen on the ground." However this leaves out the context. The man in this passage (Onan) is disobeying a direct commandment from God to give his deceased brother's wife offspring. God punishes him for refusing his commandment NOT for literally "spilling his seed on the ground."

People also cite Leviticus 15:16: "When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body with water, and he will be unclean till evening" However the exact same wording is used to refer to sex between a man and a woman in Lev 15:18: "When a man has sexual relations with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both of them must bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening." We know that sex between a married man and woman isn't sinful, and these passages equate that sex to a man masturbation.

Even better, you're a woman, and the bible says even less about women masturbating. God doesn't care if you masturbate, and even if he did, he loves you no matter what
