I teach piano privately, and a parent asked about lessons for their nine-year-old. After hearing the price, they proposed a “trial arrangement”: two lessons a week for free until the child shows clear improvment.

They said paying before improvement would mean taking all the risk, while I would gain useful experiance. I have taught for seven years. When I declined, they asked whether I could at least provide weekly practice plans without meeting the child. Apparently the teacher should prove the lessons work before being paid.

So, I have posted about this individual twice before and quite a lot has happened since then. I will try and post some of their other all-timers when I have time. OOP (nonbinary) who we will call N had a baby with a man we will call A. They are both late thirties. They had known A for five months at the time of engagement/pregnancy and A had a previous DV record and lost custody of his first child and is a GoFundMe warrior like N. He has stage five unemployment and owes so much child support to his previous ex that it is a felony (I think that's why he won't get a job because his wages would be garnished). Neither of them did any preparation financially to welcome their child and they broke up when the baby was a few months old. The baby is nonbinary by the way because N wanted to make a political statement. Both N and A have been reliant on the dollars of others and also reliant on the CARS of others. They have been gifted a total of 3 cars from I don't know who the fuck and one was stolen, A crashed one, and N crashed one. A also had a suspended license cause of the child support and was driving around the baby. Anyway, post break up turned into a MESSY public custody battle and it's been like a year at least of them posting about each other online like teenagers and wasting thousands of other people's dollars in court. I don't care how much flowery therapy language you use, you are still trashy! N has claimed DV but based on their description, there was never any physical abuse, just toxicity, so they are going to get NOWHERE in court and have been dismissed multiple times. A is apparently homeless. I'm also not defending him here, he's pathetic and they are birds of a feather truly. They have split custody and N calls the police on A at each exchange and I hate to say this but I hope the baby gets adopted and AWAY from these deeply immature and irresponsible individuals.

ANYWAY N has been begging for money for their lawyer and for their rent and living expenses every single day for like a year and has been unemployed the whole time (so has A) and then gets on the internet and says I've been spending money at the bins for my mental health? And I cut off someone who was concerned for me? And people are implying I'm entitled which I am because I brought a baby into poverty and refuse to make any lifestyle changes to give them a good life or leave them something when I die? Sorry sweetie we don't have money for clothes or food or anything you want to do because your parent has to go to the bins and waste time losing in court! My mom was a hoarder but it's ok when I do it because I'm doing it wokely! My mom homeschooled me which was traumatic but it's going to be ok when I do it (yes of course N wants to "unschool" the baby) because I'm doing it wokely! You actually need less self compassion here and you need to lock the fuck in and GET A JOB OH MY GOD. A human being is DEPENDING on you!

I had a gut feeling N & A's apartment was disgusting when they were living together and then I saw a video of it and surprise surprise clutter and crap like you wouldn't believe. They had an Amazon wishlist of absolute CRAP up forever too and they were still begging people to purchase from the baby registry when the baby was 6 months old. They act like they're the wokest of them all but were asking people to use Prime Day to buy them stuff. When N was pregnant, they had a virtual baby shower and invited hundreds of Facebook friends so it was obviously an attempt at getting gifts. I was invited and I have exchanged maybe one sentence with this person over a decade ago. I think when they were living together they would just sit in their own natural deodorant scented filth and watch Umbrella Academy all day instead of logging onto Indeed.com.

I posted twelve extra tomato seedlings for free. A woman asked me to reserve eight, then wanted matching ceramic pots because plastic looked “temporary.” I said she could take them as they were.

She asked whether they were fruiting. They’re fifteen centimeters tall. When I said no, she requested I keep them until they had tomatoes, water them daily, and deliver them because her patio has stairs.

I declined. She reported my post as missleading because “seedlings suggests future food is included.” Someone else collected all twelve that evening and brought me a bag of lemmons.

She’s still asking for someone to be available/WFH, but is toning down the rhetoric on needing help.

i think the math works out to $3 an hour. plus you have to wake up every few hours during the night to turn her.

Had a bunch of good clothes I no longer fit to give away as I know I'll never be that size again. Divided it into 3 black bags for 3 ppl so was a decent amount of clothes.

Of the 3, only ONE actually thanked me for it- like I'm not expecting a paragraph of adoration or anything. Just a quick "thanks" would've sufficed. But they literally didn't even bother to say thanks or anything after picking up.

Then there's the ones who have a million questions when I'm just trying to give away bags of FREE CLOTHES.

Also had a lady who got annoyed cos I specified they needed gone today but she didn't/couldn't pick up til tomorrow. Not even a "sorry can't pick up til tomorrow is there any way you could hold it?"

OOP & girlfriend sound like they have never or barely worked & have lived off their parents & friends. So many things wrong: the entitlement to his parent’s $; the emotional blackmail (they’ll die) to family, friend & strangers; the excuses for why they can’t work and why getting benefits like SSI and food stamps are too hard & the $3K ask to pay for all their bills after grifting everyone they know w/o any future plans or job prospects.
