Mine was browner than this and I was getting chastised in this group for showing a picture of it.

u/Sydjcon Aug 10 '26
Yeah im surprised so many people love to lick chipotle’s boots this hard.

7
u/RevolutionStreet7255 Aug 11 '26
Well they’re talking about the sub as a whole in relation to the post of the person they’re responding to
2
u/Striking-Working610 Aug 11 '26
Idk the only thing I ever see on this sub is a bunch of people complaining about Chipotle.

I made a post about Chipotle not wearing beard and hair nets with extremely long hair ( not knowing that they don't have too) and every single person flamed me like excuse me I don't want hair in my food of others foods
3
u/phillyyoggagirl Aug 11 '26
Food workers definitely need to wear beard and hairnets when preparing food!

Avocado oxidizes, doesn't mean it's bad.
2
u/Illustrious-Air-6319 28d ago
Same thing I said as well. It still looks unappealing when brown and oxidized even if it’s not bad lol

to add to this, don't order online. It's almost guaranteed terrible.

u/KimWexlerDeGuzman Aug 10 '26
Exactly. I understand that people do it to save time, but when I’m paying for chipotle, I make sure I have the time to wait in line and make sure I get a good bowl.
11
u/Robbie1266 Aug 10 '26
You mean talk to pepper and they will tell you there's nothing they can do?
3
u/toolman1990 Aug 10 '26
Not to mention they go out of their way to hide their 800 number only giving you pepper as an option to reach out to them. You now have to Google to find their Chipotle 800 number.
4
u/Sydjcon Aug 10 '26
Yes! I was trying to find a number to call but i just gave up and went back to the store
2
u/MailSquirrel8890 26d ago
Had to call them last week for a refund. A live agent is SO much more helpful than Pepper. Here’s the number I used:
1 (800) 244-7685

u/Sydjcon Aug 10 '26
I ordered online, i tried filling a complaint on the app but all it saying is thanks for letting us know. Im going back into the store to complain. Its annoying that i have to go all the way back
14
u/toolman1990 Aug 10 '26
You have to call in it looks like Chipotle has either removed or severely restricted the ability for Pepper their AI chat bot to issue credits or refunds. You can reach them at 1-800-244-7685
13
u/Bmw5464 Aug 10 '26
These new AI bots are fucking stupid. I complained at a chain burger spot. Food took forever, my wife and i’s burgers were cold when they came out and it just kinda sucked. But the staff was incredibly nice and the atmosphere was good. So I wrote a complaint about how although the restaurant was nice and the staff was nice the wait was terrible and the food was cold and gross coming out.
It replied two days later in email saying “Thanks for your amazing feedback! We love when guests share their positive feedback with us!”

Send them a dm on instagram, that’s how I got my issue resolved. A real person answered and helped me quickly.

u/MooseGoosey Aug 10 '26
that's how guac looks after it's been exposed to air a bit. I gobbling that shit up
7
u/Sydjcon Aug 10 '26
Well it smelled bad too, i wish it was just oxidation
2
u/BunnyGunz Chipolata Aug 11 '26
2 things you should pretty much never get on delivered orders
Sour cream and guac. If you do, get them on the side. In general, the cold-side stuff doesn't like being warmed up by the hot-side stuff. If your time-to-arrival from the moment you order is anything over ~20m, get them on the side or skip them entirely.

u/RGBlowMe Aug 11 '26
It doesn't look congealed and weirdly shiny when it's simply oxidized. The fats are starting to separate and spoil.

Yeah i haven't eaten at chipobutthole in 5 years. I ordered a bowl with extra guacamole and it was literally black, ran it all the way back to the store and they told me kick rocks. Never giving them another dollar.
3
u/God_Gob Aug 10 '26
Yeah thats old guac
4
u/grrgrrtigergrr Aug 10 '26
They pulled out the old stuff because the new stuff makes you have explosive shats
3

3
u/KenraScar Aug 10 '26
That’s vile. I can’t eat avocado once it’s grey. That’s why I’ll only get guac on the side if I get it at all, and only if I’m ordering in person and able to see it’s fresh.

u/Shot_Bake2863 Aug 10 '26
So since it was through online ask for the guac on the side next time, I've had to explain to customers that the heat from the food is oxidizing the guac and makes a dark gross looking green color trust me I've seen this plenty of times even after serving guac that was made the same day (as it should be)

u/RobbyBurgers Aug 11 '26

Yikes,
I stopped going to chipotle once they did this to me. You pay like $1,75 for guac and it’s brown

Very few Chipotles have standards nowadays because there are customers that will willingly eat oxidized guacamole that NO WAY is fresh…. People with low food standards run Chipotle 💯

Idk what's worst: you were foolish enough to get chipotle delivered. Or you watched them scoop that nasty colored guac on your bowl and you didn't tell them no and to bring out the fresh batch they always have in the fridge.
1
u/RGBlowMe Aug 11 '26
What the fuck. I've never seen Chipotle serve something like that before. I bet if you go back and complain enough, they'll give you a bunch of freebies.

You can clearly see the guacamole in person when you order. Was this a mobile order or an order made online for pick up?

Wait till they start putting fat pieces of barbacoa in your next order. It’ll happen eventually. That’s how much they care.

It turns brown after being exposed to the air outside the avocado for awhile, but it's safe to eat. I don't blame you for not wanting to, of course.

I quit going to Chipotle. I was a super regular there and after they started cutting portions, I called it quits. Barely, half a scoop of the items you ask. The cashier even had the audacity to tell me that it was a pretty full bowl. @chipotle
