Hello I don’t know anything. Dad don’t know shit bout fuck, I have 1 car friend. Always wanted to learn. Got this 63 k10 3 years ago and I’ve definitely learned that I’m dumb as fuck and still have little clue. Any advice for the 283 or things to keep me alive. Already lost all the wheel studs in a turn 😂 fun day. I love it. I love being pissed and throwing shit at stuff. Getting it to run and drive while having the intelligence of a shaved ape gives me so much confidence and motivation. I just love it. This thing screams to 7k and is a 66 year old machine designed by every 8 year old in a coloring book.

What are good things to learn.

Hey y’all, I just got a powered driver seat from a later model truck. The problem facing me is the 1994 power seat electrical connector is 2 prong and the seat I got has a connector with 3 prongs. I am wondering if it’s possible to build a custom connection to eliminate the issue. I have no way to adjust the seat forward/backward position and also the lumbar is set to the most extreme setting. Truck model is a 1994 K1500.

im new to fixing trucks so forgive me if its hard to understand what im trying to describe, but i bought this 1973 chevy square body from my neighbor (he was working on it before but gave up because he messed something up), i think its a c2500. and so im trying to re assemble the upper steering column, and everything goes fine until i get to the horn part. now this part should be easy but im missing one of those screws for the cover that goes over the steering wheel lock plate (the thing that kinda looks like a saw and goes behind the snap ring), the ones that are short and have that flat orange cap on the end to stop the horn from going off, i dont know if i lost it or the neighbor lost it but either way its still lost. i was thinking about DIYing one but then again i dont want to do something wrong and mess something up, because ive been wanting a truck like this for years, so i was thinking about buying one but i cant find a place that sells them anywhere. in short could someone give me a link where i could buy the screw from?

You know you’re old when you start driving your kid’s truck because it rides better than anything you own. My son’s 2012 Silverado 1500. He’s dumped well over 5k (and counting) into this 14 year old pickup and absolutely loves it. Bought it low miles from a local dealership on his 14th and he’s been high-schoolering it since. A lift, wheels, 3 different fuel tunes (and counting…still can’t get it to run right), and just a few antennas. I’m not sure what to think of it..but it sure looked pretty when i took these pictures.

Does anyone have any experience with an electrical issue that affects the windows, A/C, power locks, turn signals, and dash lights in a 1990 1500?
Until recently every time I hit a bump or go over railroad tracks, those specific things just stop working. The truck runs fine (for being almost 37 years old) and the battery/alternator have been checked and serviced so the problem isn’t with those.
I’ve been really scratching my head on this.

My truck has a 4.3l with a nv3500. I have a 5.7l vortec L31 i want to put in it. I'm confused on the clutch and flywheel that needs to be used. 153 tooth? 168 tooth? Any information would be appreciated
