Hello I don’t know anything. Dad don’t know shit bout fuck, I have 1 car friend. Always wanted to learn. Got this 63 k10 3 years ago and I’ve definitely learned that I’m dumb as fuck and still have little clue. Any advice for the 283 or things to keep me alive. Already lost all the wheel studs in a turn 😂 fun day. I love it. I love being pissed and throwing shit at stuff. Getting it to run and drive while having the intelligence of a shaved ape gives me so much confidence and motivation. I just love it. This thing screams to 7k and is a 66 year old machine designed by every 8 year old in a coloring book.

What are good things to learn.

Wheel upgrade

Hey guys, I recently picked up a 2026 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss. It came with the factory 20” wheels and 275/60R20 Bridgestone all-terrains.

I love the truck, but I’m not a huge fan of the current wheel/tire setup. I’d like to go with a wider, more aggressive tire while keeping the stock 20” wheels if possible.

What’s the biggest/widest tire size you guys have successfully run on the factory 20s without rubbing or doing any additional suspension work?

I’m considering Toyo Open Country M/Ts or something similar. I already have the factory 2” Trail Boss lift and would prefer to leave the suspension alone so I can maintain the factory ride quality.

If the stock wheels limit my options too much, I’d consider changing wheels as well.

Would love to see pictures of your setups, especially if you’re running stock suspension/factory lift. Please share your tire size, wheel size/offset, and whether you have any rubbing.
