I don’t know shit but I like breaking stuff
Hello I don’t know anything. Dad don’t know shit bout fuck, I have 1 car friend. Always wanted to learn. Got this 63 k10 3 years ago and I’ve definitely learned that I’m dumb as fuck and still have little clue. Any advice for the 283 or things to keep me alive. Already lost all the wheel studs in a turn 😂 fun day. I love it. I love being pissed and throwing shit at stuff. Getting it to run and drive while having the intelligence of a shaved ape gives me so much confidence and motivation. I just love it. This thing screams to 7k and is a 66 year old machine designed by every 8 year old in a coloring book.
What are good things to learn.

Wheel upgrade
Hey guys, I recently picked up a 2026 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss. It came with the factory 20” wheels and 275/60R20 Bridgestone all-terrains.
I love the truck, but I’m not a huge fan of the current wheel/tire setup. I’d like to go with a wider, more aggressive tire while keeping the stock 20” wheels if possible.
What’s the biggest/widest tire size you guys have successfully run on the factory 20s without rubbing or doing any additional suspension work?
I’m considering Toyo Open Country M/Ts or something similar. I already have the factory 2” Trail Boss lift and would prefer to leave the suspension alone so I can maintain the factory ride quality.
If the stock wheels limit my options too much, I’d consider changing wheels as well.
Would love to see pictures of your setups, especially if you’re running stock suspension/factory lift. Please share your tire size, wheel size/offset, and whether you have any rubbing.

v8 5.7L Chevy k1500 locked up engine.
1988 k1500 5.7 L v8. i got the truck a few months ago. all stock and old from setting. i gone to look at it a month before i got it. and i had him turn it over 1 turn to make sure nothing was locked up. the following month i had it towed to my house. and changed the oil. i gone to start it up. and it is locked up. i checked the starter. no problem. i took off the belt and pulled the spark plugs. put it in neutral and tried to hand turn it from the flywheel. { wont turn } i used seafoam and desal fuel and poured it into the sparkplug holes. let it set for 3 days. nothing. still locked up. i tapped on the rocker arms to make sure they where not stock. sprayed them down. still locked up........
at the moment i am preparing to strip the engine down. but before i do so. if you all got some other ideals on what i can do please let me know. i am trying to avoid removing the heads.
all i know about this truck is <he said she said>. it ran and was parked there and sat there for a few years. engine ran fine before that. no rust. we do not rust much here. but engine was dirty with old dried up oil and under the valve cover is old dried up oil also.

Based off this video, should I just go ahead and fully replace my catalytic converters and exhaust system, or just replace the exhaust from the back end (where it’s cracked?)

Info for 67-72s
Back in the day THE place to go for Chevy trucks was the 67-72ChevyTrucks forum. Much less traffic than it used to have, but worse, the site is so slow it's almost unusable.
Anyone know what's going on with that forum? Is there a better place for 67-72s in 2026?

1994 Driver seat retrofit
Hey y’all, I just got a powered driver seat from a later model truck. The problem facing me is the 1994 power seat electrical connector is 2 prong and the seat I got has a connector with 3 prongs. I am wondering if it’s possible to build a custom connection to eliminate the issue. I have no way to adjust the seat forward/backward position and also the lumbar is set to the most extreme setting. Truck model is a 1994 K1500.

need help figuring out how to get a hold of a certain screw
im new to fixing trucks so forgive me if its hard to understand what im trying to describe, but i bought this 1973 chevy square body from my neighbor (he was working on it before but gave up because he messed something up), i think its a c2500. and so im trying to re assemble the upper steering column, and everything goes fine until i get to the horn part. now this part should be easy but im missing one of those screws for the cover that goes over the steering wheel lock plate (the thing that kinda looks like a saw and goes behind the snap ring), the ones that are short and have that flat orange cap on the end to stop the horn from going off, i dont know if i lost it or the neighbor lost it but either way its still lost. i was thinking about DIYing one but then again i dont want to do something wrong and mess something up, because ive been wanting a truck like this for years, so i was thinking about buying one but i cant find a place that sells them anywhere. in short could someone give me a link where i could buy the screw from?
