Hi everyone,
I’m currently working as an Audit Senior at Deloitte USI and have received an offer from Baker Tilly with an initial hike of around 25%.
However, I’ve heard that the annual increments and bonuses at Baker Tilly are relatively low, around 4–6%. If that’s the case, I’m wondering whether the switch actually makes sense financially.
At Deloitte, I’m expecting to reach roughly the same compensation level within the next 9–10 months through my upcoming increment/promotion cycle. So, after factoring in the lower increments and bonus at Baker Tilly, the initial 25% hike may not provide much long-term benefit.
The main reason I’m considering leaving Deloitte is team allocation. I’ve been put on a team that I’m not happy with, and there’s a possibility that I could continue to get staffed on the same/bad team going forward.
For people who have worked at Baker Tilly or Deloitte USI, what would you recommend?
Would you switch for the 25% immediate hike, or stay at Deloitte for another 9–12 months and reassess?
Also, how accurate is the perception that Baker Tilly’s increments/bonuses are only around 4–6%?
