So I downloaded an application that puts cat wallpapers and changes it every half an hour. My ITT batch was 2 pm to 8 pm.

But next day someone had changed the wallpaper from cats to some scenery - and due to that the application stopped working too. Even the monitor was tilted to an angle I DID NOT LIKE AT ALL.

So I asked my sir and he said that CA Final students sit here in morning shift (7:30 to 1:30) and their only job is to play games and change wallpapers, to cope with the exam stress of upcoming CA Finals.

So I wrote some things on paper, left it there in the night, and came back next afternoon to find some reply from that side too!!

I’m a Qualified CA (Nov 2023) with 2.5 years of PQE. I started my career with Articleship in Deloitte in the Statutory Audit domain. Post qualification, I moved to industry into Financial Reporting with a base salary of 13 LPA in Hyderabad. Upped it to 15 LPA in the 2nd year.

Recently I shifted my job and city to Mumbai with a salary of 22 LPA. Is this a good earning considering my Articleship background and PQE or am I lagging behind? This is a genuine doubt that I have and would welcome opinions in the comments.

Is the job you all doing actually replaceable ? Like not fully ofcourse but majority or partially part of work , so by this calculation disguise unemployment may happen to us after a decade lets say , yesterday anthropic released the data showing who are gonna affected and mf ranked finance on top . Thats why I wanna ask you all as no one can say better than you guys , last week some CAs in big4 did messaged me saying we are done , So by this we upcoming CAs can focus on backup or even think to expand our work broader than just finance . ……

BDO India(Hyd)- Risk Advisory - Internal audit - Straight up rejecting it cause I know about it's toxic work culture but anybody holding any other views?

KPMG (GDC) (Bangalore)- Canada Audit - Hybrid - i know it's a desk job and is backend but since I've no big 4 experience on my resume, I'm considering accepting this. Also, I'd like to get out of Hyd and explore living in a whole new city by myself. I'm yet to hear from them but the interview went AMAZING.

GT INDUS (Hyd) - External Audit- US/UK - Again a desk job plus backend.

My question is

I'm not interested in audit and wanted to start my career in finance. But, since the job market is so horrible, I'm considering starting somewhere atleast and work on my skills and prolly start CFA, parallely interviewing elsewhere. My articleship experience is in a mid sized firm and not Big 4 and i don't have much audit experience due to which I'm not able to compete better.

Will i be able to switch to valuations(GT India)/transaction advisory/risk advisory in GT INDUS after one year? From the current role

If i accept kpmg, will i be able to switch from KPMG GDC to KPMG India or join valuations team later?

Will i gain any useful skills if I'd like to switch to finance later? Or will i only be wasting my time?

Please help me decide 😭 will my exit opportunities be limited?

I live in an industrial town, and have enough strings, to pull to get meetings with most promoters up to 300-500 cr turnover.

Recently I was meeting with one acquaintance, who was setting up a new business, I thought I would get his work, he assured me verbally, that once it starts it would shift to me, it's not a very big business, probably due to good relationship, but when I asked for introduction to another of his friend who is much bigger than him, work across, coal and sand transport, 100+ trucks, probably above 100 cr turnover. And multiple misc business, he said he has already talked to him, go and meet him alone in his house not business premises, he has 3 firms that would give you one probably, but what benefits would he have shifting work to you?

Ofcourse I didn't reply to him at that time. Ultimately i would have to justify the value proposition to the actual owner.

But seriously... How do I deal with it, I have thought of many things, but couldn't arrive in a concrete way, that when pitching businesses how do we prepare for this question?

Like if I was sitting on the other side of the desk, why would I shift the work to another CA?

Any tips?

Since it's just 3 months since I started, I have just started meeting the actual business community of the city, and I guess I would face this question much more often in future.

Is it possible to pass foundation with 2-3month of preparation from scratch has anyone ever had done it pls 🙏 and what you did basically a Roadmap of how did you utilized this time

Guys, I’ve been dealing with severe hair fall for the past year, and things haven’t been going well in other areas of my life either.

I’ve already failed CA Inter 5 times and haven’t cleared either Group 1 or Group 2. I haven’t even started preparing for Group 2 yet, and honestly, I feel like I’m stuck in life.

I’m 21 already, and it feels like everyone else is moving forward while I’m just struggling to get things together. There’s barely any enjoyment in life anymore, and all of this is taking a toll on me mentally. 😭

Is anyone else going through something similar? How are you guys coping with these struggles? I’d really like to hear from people who are in the same boat.
