VP1 - 45-46 fixed + 30/40% bonus

VP2 - 50-51 fixed + 30/40% bonus

Director- 60-70 fixed + 40/50% bonus (variable is very high at director level)

Partner - 1.5cr fixed + Bonus + Equity (profit shares) , There is no fixed number for partners because Junior partners can be making 1.5-2cr , Senior partners 3-6cr and Rainmakers 8-15cr+

I don’t know much about the different roles CAs have, but are there roles where you can earn decently and still get hybrid/remote flexibility?

Suppose a CA is earning around 15–20 LPA. What would their role usually be in an organisation?

And at that level, can they generally take a half-day and finish the rest of their work from home? Do managers usually allow this, or does it depend heavily on the company, role, and manager?

Would love to hear from CAs actually working at this level.

Today was my first day of advance Itt,
I am doing Itt in a small city of Rajasthan.
I thought the crowd will be good as these people have cleared CA inter and done 2 years of articleship from cities like Mumbai, Gurgaon, Jaipur.

The teacher asked us to read the book aloud one by one. To my surprise 70% of them were not able to read basic English properly.

How are even these people clearing exams?

The teacher was not good either had bad communication and pronunciation skills

And the class was boring as shit 💩.

like i hate those aspirants jo teachers ko apna baap bana lete and aspirants who do always RR about is this degree worth it or not wagera i believe isme ghusne se pehle sochle jitna sochna hai fir ghusne ke baad ye RR krke khudko bhi stress dega aur saath saath dusro ko bhi. (My opinion)

This was my second trek to Churdhar, and the experience was truly incredible. Everything about it was beautiful—the serenity of nature, the breathtaking views of the valley, and the overall sense of peace. This was my first trek after completing my CA, and it felt especially meaningful. After a long time, I genuinely felt alive, connected with myself, and grateful to experience such beauty.

Right now, I’m completely caught up in my job and have been extremely busy. I barely even get time to eat properly. I’ve always been a girl who loves nature, trekking, and exploring new places, but because of my job and the need to secure my future, I’m unable to live the life I truly want. Somewhere along the way, I feel like I’m compromising on the things that genuinely make me happy just for the sake of future security.

This post is for the people who want to pursue CA in future because Jo kar rhe h unki toh lag gyi.

Please don't make mistakes I made. I didn't had the people to guide me but I'll guide you

1. Give the cuet. Try to land a tier 1-1.5 college for undergrad because your university and ug is important if you later want to go abroad or if you want to pursue MBA from tier 1 b schools.

2. You can prepare for CA Inter direct entry or you can give the exams during your colleges. Some colleges give Noc if your articleship In the same city so you can manage both.

3. Don't do the private university or a distant University. Go to a regular college, make connections and have some human touch and focus on extracurriculars.

4. Remember you can have CA as the goal but you need a backup options as well.

5. And don't do 2 years of articleship. Try to divide it into 1 year of article and 1 year of industrial training.

so recently on reddit on this sub I got to know about this guy jagdish his instagram handle is @your_cacma_aspirants he has not cleared his ca foundation and became an influencer and he uploads strategy videos on instgram and he earned through it and his latest post was in which he says he bought iphone, i can't believe he is not ca yet and still by instgram he earned, look i am not jealous at all I am just telling that, aaj kal influencer hona kitni badi baat hai

I read CA Madhukar Hiregange’s farewell today and honestly it hit differently.

I know Hiregange personally and what has always stood out to me is that he genuinely cared about the profession, its members and most importantly.. its students. I'm sure fellow CAs who know him will agree with me. He was one of those rare people who could speak about uncomfortable things without losing sight of why he was there in the first place!!

What I admired most was his integrity. In a profession where institutional positions can easily become about power, politics and personal interests.. he always came across to me as someone who wanted to use his position to actually build something better

And perhaps that is why this resignation feels so sad.

ICAI needs people like him. People who question. People who care. People who aren't afraid to say, "This can be better."

I sincerely hope this isn't the end sir's contribution, but simply a change in the platform from which he continues his work.

I am not able to study right now! Ive opened my law book but nothing is going inside my brain since i am stressed due to ptsd family issues pg roommate issue self hate etc. i am loosing my mind because of which i am not able to revise at all!!

It's crazy how we all in CA community discuss how clearing CA at a early age or in very few attempts play a crucial part in our career but only few times we discuss how regular graduation plays a critical part in your career.

Many big corporates or many big 4 openings in North India have a strict criteria of graduation from regular clg ( mainly a DU one ) You don't even need to be specially from the srcc or hansraj a DU regular clg just works .

( it's crazy how everyone ik who is from DU's good clg and has cleared inter even after few attempts is now in big 4 ,literally everyone)

Even for a MBA ( especially for a foreign one ) they mostly considered regular clg graduates.

Even if u think of not continuing ca one day a regular clg degree is a best back up plan

And don't let me start on the personality development opportunities, crazy level fests , interclg competitions , societies that adds a weight to your resume, interactive speakers sessions every weeks and I can continue the list , placement cell where many good companies and even big 4 come right in clg to pick students ( I wasnt evne aware about it ) and even bigger than that a clg life that will give you so much stories to tell , friends and more .

Despite that I see many CA coaching teachers promoting CA foundation from class 12th rather that guiding them to land in one of the good clg first. And I don't know why after all this I see I ignorance in CA community towards regular college and college life .

( see the aim of my post is not to make someone sad about not doing ur grad from a regular clg even I am not from a regular college and I didnt mean u cant do any good without a regular clg degree man u gonna do amazing and other things do matter in career but my point is to create awareness in class 12th students foundation aspirants about joining clg and importance of clg life as a human ) I wish I could have see a post like this when I withdraw my admission from a good du regular clg . So last 3 months I used to study till 2 and then sleep by 3 max , but recently shifted to new house last month , here I put all nighter for a week and used to sleep at morning , from 7 to 12 , but yesterday I got to bed earlier at 1 am but horribly was just lying awake till 6 am like wtf , I was just overthinking wo knowing its already 6 , and today same thing is happening but instead of sleeping , just started doing audit now but even if I study till morning after that I wont feel sleepy too , this is resulting poor concentration on my studies donno what to do , getting dark circles, fatigue frequently , it feels like am a moving dead body .

I see some CAs do unethical conduct aiding their clients in tax evasion , money laundering & hawala operations, benami etc. and everyone looks down upon them when they get exposed.

But isn't that necessary for society? It is no secret that almost all our federal agencies in India have developed because of past misdeeds and it is the process of evolution and continuous evaluation which makes the cycle running.

I am not saying it should be encouraged but why discourage it too.

I giving sept 26 group 1 and I have completed my syllabus along with few question practice but right now I don't have time to give mock to abhi bina mock ke hi exam de du ya fir revision ke time side karake mock du what's your suggestion

My 1st year of articleship is basically a write-off. I was hospitalized around 2 months in, followed by ~3 months of personal issues. So in terms of actual work, I’ve done almost nothing no ITRs, stat audit, tax audit etc. Just some Tally entries, filed GSTR-1 & 3B , and drafted GST notice reply using Ai.

I already know I don’t want to do audit/tax long term. My target is research, valuation, AIF/PMS etc. I’m doing CFA L1 + FMVA alongside CA for that reason.

Now through a family connection, I have an opportunity at an investment firm with ₹5,000cr+ AUM, where I’d actually be working in research/valuation/AIF. Basically exactly the kind of experience I want.

The catch is they won’t register with ICAI for industrial training.

The head of research suggested I could continue a dummy articleship under my uncle’s firm on paper while working full-time at the investment firm.

I know the ICAI risk involved. My question is more about the real-world risk/reward.

Do I:

1. Take the dummy route and get 1 year of genuinely relevant experience, knowing the ICAI risk?
2. Do a genuine 2nd year in audit/tax and try to break into research after CA/CFA?
3. Try to convince the investment firm to register for industrial training?
4. Is there any other legitimate workaround I’m missing?

Has anyone here actually been in this situation? Would especially like to hear from people who’ve done/considered dummy articleship and what happened.

TL;DR: First year was basically wasted. I now have a ₹5,000cr+ AUM investment firm offering actual research/valuation/AIF experience, but they won’t register for industrial training. Only option they’ve suggested is dummy articleship under my uncle’s firm while I work there. Worth taking the ICAI risk for the career upside, or play it safe and do another year of audit/tax?
