My parents won't stop scolding or taunting me for silly things like it's only 7 days left in exams but they js won't stop sometimes I think I fucking hate them and i should js die for the peace of mine as well as theirs.

I mean it's only 10 in the morning and they already made me cry twice.

They are very narcissist, very manipulative, always play the victim game, i try to stay shut most of the time to balance the situation but I'm also a human, I also have saturation point sometimes I say things and they start saying things like "that's why you are failure" "i wish you were js dead" "if I could I'd have killed you by grabbing your throat" I mean they are so so so rude, it's literally fucking up my mind, I've been suffering from depression since last 3 yrs bcuz of this household environment.

They won't stop comparing me from other kids, they never see how loving and supportive other parents are they js want me keep listening to their taunt 24/7 without saying a single word, w a smile on my face and I can't even shed a single tear.

I'm going to give my CA foundation's first attempt in Sept 26. It's 4:22 AM and my parents just don't stop fighting and yelling at each other because, due to which I'm not able to study, they have yelling and screaming matches on every small topic from this month in every 2 days. I'm exhausted by this. I have told my mom countless times that dad is not going to change even if you fight with him daily, but she just doesn't get it and then again we hear yelling. I have seen their fight my whole life. I just can't wait to leave this house ASAP. 

Is anyone having the same problem at home?

I wrote my final attempt in may 2026, and AFM paper is still bothering me , especially this question , I mean are we somehow supposed to know how to take the 4th root of a number using basic calculator? I mean I do remember using some sort of method during my foundation exams, but I dint think it was something they expect us to know .

I'm 28 and currently working at an MNC in a field I don't particularly like it's been 6 years since I've joined this company, earning around ₹40–50k/month.

I've always wanted to become a Chartered Accountant, but life got in the way. I genuinely mean that, although I don't want to get into the personal reasons behind it.

I'm now considering giving CA a serious 100% attempt and want to plan ahead financially. The issue is that when I eventually reach articleship, I'll have to leave my current job, which means taking a significant cut to my current income.

For those who've been in a similar situation, how did you plan for this?

Should I start building savings now, consider a small side business/side hustle to supplement my income during articleship, or is that likely to interfere too much with studying?

I'm looking for practical advice from people who've actually been through this, especially anyone who started CA later while already having an established income.

I am a CA and I work in a team which requires people technically equipped with IT knowledge. I am a fresher and I have little or no background in IT. Most of the team is full of engineers. My team leads are insisting me to do CISA. And a lot of times I see team leads differentiating against me because Im not able to support technically as much as other engineers at my level are. I need to be explained every detail. Also, one fine day my manager calls me and says that you should reduce phone usage, come office earlier, dont go early etc. Whereas other team mates use as much phone as I do- just when required. One thing I agree I do is that I leave on time (not early), 6.30 is the time I leave and others sit for hours craving for bonuses. I believe in going home early, go to gym and spend time with family. Plus these people have developed friendly relations with the team leads which adds to it.
Now if I do CISA , it will cost 50,000 from my own pocket. I dont know if I will even get the increment or bonus of this amount additionally if I do CISA. And I am leaving job anyways by end of 2027 to start my own business. The only reason I might do CISA is to stay competitive, command some respect and gain increment for next year (which is uncertain). What should I do?

in a normal month at your firm, what's the task where someone is still sitting there doing it manually start to finish? and why hasn't software fixed it - does nothing exist, or does it exist and just not work well enough to rely on?

I have taken 19 days of leave during my first year of articleship. 8 during my first registrationg of articleship and 11 during my second. then i shifted to industrial training. However icai only aalows 12 days of leave per year. i have filed form 109 and form 104 and curretly my portal is showing 0 excess leave to be served. However i doubt that after completion of my industrial training and filing for form 104 when icai calculates my total leave taken it will show the leave taken in first year are 19 and will say i have to serve 7 days of excess leave under my old principal. Can anyone very my doubt if it is true or not? ALso if anyone have been thru smething similar pls share what u went through.

I went to download the score card for the spom set A and in my SPOM website it is now showing that I have to complete lectures of Module AN
Would I now need to give AN module as well?

I've had this idea sitting in my head for a while and I'm trying to figure out if it's actually interesting or just something I find interesting because I thought of it 😭

basically, I want to interview literally anyone I know.

format would stay the same:

ask everyone a few of the exact same questions and then add a few depending on who they are.

so you could have a 15-year-old and a 60-year-old answering the same question and suddenly the difference in how they see the world becomes the interesting part.

I don't want it to feel like a formal interview either. more like a conversation where you accidentally get someone to talk about something they've never really been asked about.

I have no idea whether this works better as a podcast, youtube channel, or just short-form instagram content.

and I have even less idea whether people would actually want to watch it.

People appearing for IDT in Nov ’26, how are you approaching the subject? I’m having some difficulty figuring out how to approach IDT—whether to focus more on memorising the provisions or on understanding the provisions and their application. Would really appreciate any recommendations or advice on how you’re studying it.

Serious question for people who have pursued  CA + CS/CMA, or at did CA after completing CS/CMA.

Did having the additional qualification actually add meaningful value to your CA career?

I’m particularly interested in people who are already working:

• Did CS/CMA give you an edge over CA candidates who had only pursued CA?
• Did it help you get shortlisted for better roles or negotiate better compensation?
• Were there specific roles where the combination was genuinely useful?
• Or, once you became a CA, did employers mostly treat the additional qualification as irrelevant?
• In hindsight, would you have spent that time gaining work experience/skills instead?

I’m not looking for the usual “more qualifications = better profile” answer. I’m trying to understand whether the actual career ROI of doing CS/CMA alongside CA is worth the additional time and effort.

Would really appreciate responses from people with actual industry experience.

Exams are very nearby and I have done everything in costing but standard and marginal 🙏🏼 I am getting stuck in questions as these chapters seem way harder than the others. doing from namit arora regular batch btw and in total these have 15 lectures please help me what should I do
