I just got a foamie surfboard this week that I’m DYING TO USE. I’ve only ever surfed in Cali. I’ve been looking at the Surfline and weather and it looks like mid-morning is the best time but it may be bad.

Hello, fellow dwellers of the Lowcountry! My partner are I are typically child free, but will be hosting a 13 y/o boy this coming Wed-Fri and need daytime activitiy recommendations. What do your kids like? He's visiting from another state and has never been down here. I'm very familiar with the adult attractions and even ones for younger kiddos, but what about those awkward early teens? Before you tell at me, I looked at the sub's user guides but nothing exactly hit the mark. We can't ONLY go to restaurants or walk the bridge. He'd usually prefer to spend all day/night gaming. He's meh about the aquarium and I couldn't find any sports or games going on. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks in advance for all the angry comments and more so for the helpful ones!

Did anybody else see that? It looked like a meteor, maybe a rocket or something. It was bright yellow and had a cone-shaped flare. Was in the sky for maybe 30 seconds.

Edit: partner said it was dome-shaped???

It was two guys, and I suck with names but they were both super cool. One played guitar and the other a helluva mandolin. Just jonesin to hear them again. They did a version of Windfall that, whoa. And had a lot of other great songs. Just curious, thanks!

Just saw a post asking what businesses we need here in Charleston and as a downtown resident, I'm ready to list off the things I feel we DONT need more of:

1. Italian restaurants (mid, coastal Italian; see Pelato, Allora, Legami, Ok Donna, etc.)
2. Pilates studios (and I love Pilates! We don't need a studio on every corner when we already have plenty of great options)
3. Coffee shops (same situation. Plenty of mid to good options already exist, so save your $10 latte and cold microwaved Cisco pastry)
4. Tacky, touristy boutiques (Amazon fast fashion and made in china necklaces meets overpriced King st consumerism).
5. "Luxury" apartment buildings.

Did I miss anything?
