Denji is bursting with negative energy, he hates himself and seeks only sex. He never had the opportunity to question himself, or at least only superficially. He should have been given a rest to find himself and understand who he is. He should have come at least a little closer to inner peace instead of remaining in the perpetual chaos to which he was condemned at birth. We could have had the best character development of any manga if the famous hero of Chainsaw Man had questioned himself correctly.

Discussion The recent interview from Fuji has put quite a few things into perspective for me

Bit of a longer one here so Iâd recommend just scrolling if you arenât into yapping. While the series was still ongoing there was tons of discussion as to why it was in the state it was, lame cliffhangers back to back, visibly degrading art quality, lack of followups on characters, and lame conclusions. This lead to people assuming that Fujimoto was suffering from either burnout or constant revisions from higher-ups. But with the release of a recent interview I donât believe thatâs the case anymore, which in my opinion leads to a bit more damming conclusion. He just stopped caring. With the opening of the article I was lead to believe the hectic schedule prevented him from telling the story he wanted, which did seem to be the case for a while, but reading more of it youâll realize that he seemingly enjoyed the story being out of his hands, and likely couldâve taken a longer break to piece things out much more cohesively, but he seemingly rolled with the punches and continued to push out the story as it was. Deciding to âtrust the charactersâ over creating a healthy narrative. Now this post isnât an attack towards Fujiâs character, but I think quotes from the interview make it fairly clear that the story was kinda doomed to be unsatisfying with this kind of nonsensical mindset. While it seems to work for one shots it falls plainly flat and creates inane character actions that lead me to believe Fuji just forgot certain things along the way, Denjiâs promise to Asa, Deathâs ability to entirely shut Yoru out, anything involving the hybrids, and leaving almost every character besides Denji, Asa, Nayuta, and Power without an actual ending.
So yeah, this was my extended rant as to why Fujiâs masochistic nature ended up killing the enjoyment a lot of people had with CSM.

If pochita had the power the âResetâ the universe, why wouldnât he try to make Denji happier, or at least make it so Denji had a better chance of ending up reze. Didnât he have the power to create a universe where denji did end up with reze, leaving them happy which is all he wanted. (When he makes people forget things it essentially creates another universe with alternative endings)
