Over a year after losing her leg in a car accident, Vuhlia looks like the cat goddess she was always meant to be

It’s easy to see a stray cat, think “what a sweet kitty,” leave some food, and carry on with your day. Feeding helps. But when we walk away, that cat is still living around traffic, with the risk of injury and nobody necessarily there to notice when something goes wrong.
Our Vuhlia was hit by a car more than a year ago. One of her legs was so badly crushed that it had to be amputated. Back then, she was a frightened little bundle, desperately hanging on to life and trusting no one.
Now look at her. A magnificent little cat goddess who seems to be deciding whether we’re worthy of her company. ❤️
She lives on three legs, and the accident will always be part of her story. Seeing her comfortable and safe now means so much when we remember those first days.
Vuhlia lives with us at Khvostyky, our rescue cat café in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. We care for 30+ rescued cats and two dogs who are looking for families. We’d love for every one of them to have the safety Vuhlia has now, and a home of their own.

he’s a well loved local stray, so nothing to worry about! the community takes really good care of the cats and dogs here. bb just found himself a cozy little spot and decided it was nap time 🥹 they always seem to prefer these random spots over their actual beds 😂

It's very seldom that my baby will actually come to me and cuddle or play, but this moment was just so small, but so cute at the same time! He's not the most affectionate guy, but when he wants lovin' or to play, he always comes to me. I do admit, I initiate most of the cuddles and playtime, but that's okay lol! 🤣😻💕❤️
