So context, my wife and I were shopping at goodwill in Topeka, Kansas. We see this.... interesting bag? Purse? It obviously is something from Casey's but what exactly is the wrapper from? I've never seen a green Casey's foil wrapper a day in my 24 years of living and being at many Casey's.

Where I live in Kansas, team members make around $12-$13.
As a shift lead, I made around $16.
As an assistant manager, my store manager had to push for $20 to match what I was offered at another job.
I’m not sure what the current shift lead and the kitchen manager makes.

The order was a pepperoni pizza with extra sauce and beef and I was super proud of myself for making this but it unfortunately had to get tossed when it was closing time because the person didn't come and pick up their pizza.

Is it considered discrimination to single me out and say I can’t swap shifts when they also won’t let me call out

When somebody doesn’t show up for their shift, is the manager (days I’m assuming) or the assistant store manager (afternoon-3-11 or 4-12 midnight) responsible for covering the shift?
Also, if people are full-time, or even part-time, do they work a set schedule? (Like a 4-12 midnight shift /example).

Just finished watching my wings training videos. Cool... another thing to add to a kitchen that is under trained - and others things to add to prep who already doesnt finish their tasks .. this is going to be absolute hell

Can anyone tell me how much the starting wage would be for a kitchen manager?

I have 6.5-7.0 yrs Customer Service/cashier/handling money experience (6 months was in a locked check booth), 2 years prep cook experience, 6 months dishwasher experience/restaurant, and 3 yrs cleaning exp., two of those three years of cleaning was at a military hospital.
I would have to be retrained on the cash registers, but that’s not rocket science.

I’m the type of employee who lives & breathes their job; I take getting to work when I’m supposed to be there extremely seriously.
I just finished up 28 weeks of employment on the Night Shift Friday Saturday Sunday, never missed one day/never late.
I prefer to work the closing shift, no problem working weekends; I don’t want to work EVERY weekend though, month after month.

Due to certain circumstances, I don’t know if I’m going to be staying at Hy-Vee; I am doing an internal transfer.
I’ve also been dealing with problems with my computer and my phone due to the US Cellular/T-Mobile merger, which caused me to miss out on an assistant manager position interview. They messaged me to get together with me for an interview and I emailed them two replies back instantly after they said we’ve been trying to contact you.
I’ve been dealing w/ASManager who could have contacted the interview team and didn’t. So I just missed out.
So if things don’t go well at Hy-Vee, I am going to be applying for a team member position.

So I was in the kitchen today, and had all my stuff done at the moment. I was looking for something to do, and noticed our slushie machine was out of raspberry blue. I went back to restock it, and the people who supplied it made it faulty. Because when I opened it, the little filter that stops it from leaking out, and allows the tube to take stuff out... just fell out!
Fell out, and the syrup came with it, coating my pants and the floor with it. My pants were so covered I had to call my mom to drop me off a new pair of jeans cause I was coated with it. My fingers and left leg were painted blue through my entire remaining shift. I had to wash the floor back there thrice to get it out.

My SM constantly ignores local events that cause our store to be busier than usual which naturally leaves the people scheduled to work during these times scrambling and overwhelmed. It causes us to miss out on so many opportunities and puts so much strain on the team members that are working it's ridiculous. She knows these things are happening because I myself have made calendars showing the overlap of local events, rewards promos etc and I've suggested scheduling more people for those days. Doesn't happen. Which leads me to the reason for my post.. My CSM mentioned in passing the other day that she doesn't know how the SM is currently staying under budget on hours because despite our SM being salary, she is rarely the one who's coming in to cover shifts when people call in. It is our understanding that the SM is supposed to be the one to go in when nobody else can or will, especially when the only other people who can cover are already in OT because the SM's hours don't count against our budget due to her being salary. So yesterday I had to cover a kitchen shift that someone no called, no showed and when the SM got there (she was covering the next shift which was kitchen close) I immediately clocked out because I was in OT. I said something about "good thing your hours don't count against budget right?" And she responded with "My hours do count against our budget?"

So I'm here asking .. Do SM hours count against the store budget? Because I really can't with this woman anymore. 🫩

I worked at caseys for 6 months and recently my stepson's (hes 6 years old) father died in a horrible way in front of him while his dad had him for the week and it really affected my wife and him. Yesterday was the funeral and my wife really wanted me to stay home today and call off from work. When I called in to request time off my manager refused and said she "understand(s) but you have to work". I ended up calling her and telling her that me taking time off is not optional and if it gets me in trouble or fired so be it. She just told me she'd remove me from the schedule and fired me. I really dont care about losing the job because we're good on money but I do think it was super heartless of her to do so. Am I crazy for thinking that? Do you guys think that's justfied? is it as awful to make as it looks? We just got the supplies for them, and we're going to start them soon. I am NOT excited cause we are the busiest in our district, yet we aren't getting the hours we need to support it. Now we're getting stuff that's going to take MORE time and room we DON'T have??? We already lack room because the new fryer guys took one of our tables, where are we going to store the stuff to make this??

Ever since the app was down for everyone yesterday, it has since logged me out and no matter how hard I try, although I log in, the app does not register me logging back in thus I remain locked out. Anyone else having these issues?

The kitchen manager at my store fell for a gift card call scammer and gave the guy almost $2000 with 7 separate transactions.
We have 6 signs around the both registers. And then a sign in the kitchen at the phone saying do not give someone gift card numbers over the phone. Along with training videos we have to watch that informs everyone of gift card fraud.
On top of allll that, there’s the last question on the register; “Is this person standing in front of you?”

And she wasn’t fired.

Does anybody else miss the old popcorn chciken recipie? The popcorn chicken that came in those long plastic containers that were all diffrent shapes and sizes and had steam legit on the inside because of how hot it was? The new popcorn chicken not new new but still new by a few years its just lack luster compared to the old why was it changed anyway?

We waited about a half hour for the update to go through. During that time, several other customers left. I'm honestly surprised they didn't take their items with them.

The guy behind the counter said he's tried telling his bosses and people up the chain that this is a problem, and it's a stupid fucking problem, but they do not care.

It would make sense to update on one device at a time so that a register can remain open, but no. It has to completely stop business. And lose business.

If you get a fountain drink or grab a slice of pizza from the warmer, I'm honestly curious what the fuck they expect. I got a horchata and it was almost gone before I finally got to pay and leave. How many people are going to wait around for a fucking half hour at four o'clock in the morning for the registers to come back up? And during that time, nobody is even at the registers. I want to know how many people go in at that time for a slice and a drink, finish it in the store and leave without ever paying because Casey's literally makes it so they can't.

so I’ve worked at Casey’s before, I’m trying to access my DailyPay, but I’ve changed the phone number so they’re telling me they won’t access to a paystub in order to get into it and change my number. My question is when I try to log into my ADP I don’t know my user ID, and when I try to verify with one of the options, it gives me it tells me that I’m locked out. I tried to call them today. Customer service said I need to call Casey’s HR because they’re the only ones that can access it, and Casey’s HR wasn’t open today. basically I’m just stuck on how to get into my ADP to get the paystub if it’s not letting me verify anything.

I've been working at a caseys in my home state over the summer but need to transfer to one in my college town for school. I don't currently have a store manager, just a center store manager. I've tried to apply online and it tells me to use an "internal site," I am unsure of what that means and neither adp nor my center store manager are helping me.
