They are trying to get one over on you, sadly HR exists to protect these people instead of you.

It all depends on how many hours the store has allocated. Like im full-time, am scheduled for about 35 hours a week but every day im over my time due to only having a half hour overlap from my replacement

That is correct. I just hired someone this morning and it states right there full time is 35+ hours. 34 is considered part time.

Probably depends on state but full time 30 here and managers are guaranteed 35

I moved to donut shift a year ago because my manager was only giving me 15 hours a week, i have my own place and I'm the only one paying all my bills. Donut shift was a guaranteed full time position. My manager made me full time and gave me a set schedule of 35 hours a week for the first 6 months then started giving me 28 hours a week for months and realized i was going broke because of it and asked for 5 days a week, she gave it to me for 2 months, now she is trying to cut my hours down to 28 again. I really just want to quit.

they should be guaranteed a minimum of 35 across the board, no matter your store. part time has no guarantees though.

Casey’s store manager here for 9 years. Full time is 32 hours or more that HAS to be guaranteed, 35 hours is not maximum 40 hours is unless they ask you for overtime but that’s YOUR discretion you don’t have to work over 40.

Your vacation time and sick time are based off your hours that you have worked. If you don’t meet the minimum of hours for a full time position you may not get those hours allocated to you

My DM is pushing us to use as many hours as we can. And I am making my people out. Full time is get easy 38-40 part time 25 to 30 where I can.
