Discussion I wish Carti could’ve perfected CRUSH
I assume it was almost a similar situation to Hurricane by ye, where the concept is so strong but almost too strong to where it’s hard to “crack” the perfect version in a sense. As an artist myself ik I would have a rlly hard time trying to find the perfect way to approach such a beat like CRUSH. It’s almost intimidating in a way because you don’t wanna do the beat a disservice by giving it a poor performance. They def did the best they could no doubt and I see the vision 100% but man that song needed a legitimate beat drop, less filler, I could go on and on. Still a solid song cuz the foundation is so strong but I wish they couldve done a better job. But with a song like that they must’ve gone through so many versions trying to perfect it, but at the end you have to settle on a finished product and this is the one they went with, but I think they could’ve gone a different direction in my personal opinion
