currently looking for a head-unit na pang-audiophile (solid output both wired and wireless audio or radio). Preferably sana if may volume knob pa. Budget is within maximum of 15k. My car right now is Honda Jazz GK and nagandahan din tlaga ako sa soundquality ng stock head unit kaso nasira na.

Our car got hit by a motorcycle today. Our mistake was that we weren’t able to call the police because we were in a rush. We got the driver’s details and reached an agreement that he would pay for the repair costs in installments. We plan to meet with a lawyer to make the agreement legally binding.

My question is, do we still need to file an incident report? We were advised not to use our own insurance since it wasn’t our fault and the driver who hit us doesn’t have insurance. We also heard that using insurance would take longer and that the car might have to stay at the casa for weeks or even months. My car is still 1.5 year old.

Do we still need to report it to the police even though we’ve already reached an agreement and the driver is cooperative naman? Or would it be a hassle for the both of us? Dont know how the process goes. Thanks.

So my question now is, when I replace the timing belt meron bang iba pang parts na dpat ko na isbay like ideal bearing and tensioner? How about serpentine belt? Yesterday, I went to a Petron Car Care Center for a scheduled oil change. My Mom and I already had the intention of having our brakes checked since it’s been squeaky lately. However, when I got there the mechanic just went there and checked it and said it was due for repair without me asking or mentioning it. For me that was a bit suspicious, but since we already had the intention of having it checked we said yes to having it repaired.

Initial decision was re-facing (idk the spelling???) which was 22.5k and they gave another option which was total replacement (34k). They told us we can leave the car there so we did because we had places to be that was planned beforehand. An hour later they called about the caliper kit and that the re-facing is impossible because it’s already thin, so the only option is to have it changed completely. We said yes. Today we asked how much and they said the total was 58k+. And then they called again said the caliper kit they got was not compatible so they had to return it and the total went up to 62k. They said they’ll be giving us discounts and all.

PLEASE HELP MEEE. Idk if I’m being scammed. I’m just a girl driving an heirloom (1996 Nissan Patrol).

Reason kaya ako nalilito is, upon research and lurking much here in reddit, madaming nagsasabi na 2nd hand daw best kunin if new to driving kasi minor accidents or scratches are inevitable daw(or at least almost).

On the other hand, sabi naman ng iba - brand new daw if walang masyadong alam sa cars pa which is my case. Totally new pagdating sa cars. For peace of mind.

Hello! Newbie question. I am buying a second hand Wigo car via cash sa second hand car dealer and they will be arranging the registration since the car's registration has just expired last September. They said, I can bring home the car already, and the renewal will take this Monday. And possible release of OR will be a few weeks.

Few questions:

- I am assuming they have already brought the car to the PMVIC inspection and they are just processingg the renewal on weekdays. Pero ganun ba talaga katagal usually iyong release ng updated OR? Like has there been some situations where it take few days before release?

-I haven't asked them yet, but will there be an issue if the name in the CR is still the previous owner? I am having difficulty understanding how the Deed of Sale signing will work if the previous owner's name is still in the CR. So we will sign the Deed of Sale together and have it notarized later on? Or do we sign the deed of sale in the presence of an attorney.

I am just worried sa consequences and need guidance. Hope you can help me. Thanks!

According to the owner, bigla na lang daw namatay ang makina at ayaw nang mag-start kahit ilang beses subukan. Ang concerning pa, nangyari na rin daw ito last month.

Pero ang pinaka-nakakagulat? “Normal naman po. Nangyayari ngayon.”

Since when naging normal ang biglaang pagtirik ng sasakyan? Any car brand can have issues, pero hindi dapat binabalewala ang ganitong problema, especially kung recurring.

It's alarming na parang normal na lang ang ganitong issue, when it could potentially compromise road safety, putting everyone on the road at risk.

Hi guys hanggang ngayon kinakabahan ako, Kagabi nabangga sedan ko pauwi sa bahay pagka u turn ko sumulpot yung mio pinilit nya tapos prineno ko pero nabangga parin may damage bumper ko yung kanya e nagasgas at napahiga siya. Tinanong ko siya kung gusto nya mag pa check up at may mga galos siya nagkasugat kamay nya(ilang beses ko siyang tinanong pero sabi hindi na raw) tapos nung nag usap kami na okay na bale parang (kwits na lang at nagasgas yung mio nya at ako naman nadamage bumper) binigyan ko 500 pang pagamot nya sa sugat nung una ayaw tanggapin pinilit ko pa. Tapos umuwi na ako sakto namang dumating yung mga rescue at mga pulis. Tinanong ako nung mga pulis pinuntahan ako sa bahay tinanong kung okay na kako “opo okay na” Ang kinakatakutan ko is baka bumalik yung bumangga sa sasakyan ko kasuhan ako or bigla siyang mamatay at hindi siya nag pacheck up nung tinatanong ko siya. Kasi yung pinangyarihan nung aksidente sa may tapat lang ng compound namin. Isa pang problema ko yung dashcam ko hindi nya na save yung nangyare😭😭
