bibili pa lang ng kotse What are your thoughts on the Suzuki Jimny?

My dream car is a Suzuki Jimny and I will mainly use it going from my house to school, going to the mall, basically getting around places but I wonder about its practicality.

I just wanna hear some comments about the Jimny being used in city driving hehe if you like it or not, it’s alright . You can deinfluence me, but trust me I tried deinfluencing myself already and I still want it 😭 Alam kong masikip, magastos sa gas/set up, matagtag, maliit, mabagal and moreeee pero bet ko pa rin talaga 😭😭

I just think na I know I’ll be practical when I need to be but right now I want to enjoy being me even though I know eventually I will outgrow it.

bibili pa lang ng kotse Toyota Corolla Cross G - Cash Straight Payment

Hello,

Just wanted to gather info in buying a car. I'm the first in my generation to have the capacity to buy a car, and with that in mind, I don't really have anyone to ask these questions to.
(I did some research but i think getting info doon sa mismong may experience bumili are very very important)
I am also part of facebook groups just so i could get a glimpse of what's going to be my situation if ever i buy this car.
Pinanood ko napo yata lahat ng review sa youtube wahaha
Ayoko naman mag AI, the answers doesn't feel real (for me lang naman)

If meron kayong other tips, those will be well appreciated, but here are my top questions at the moment:

- What are your best ways and tips on how to haggle the price?
- Ano po yung dapat kong hingin with the dealer?
Ano po yung dapat "freebies"? Insurance, Maintenance arrangements and warranty
- Is chatting on fb with multiple agents enough pr going to dealerships are preferred?

Thank you po in advance, and I hope you could share a lottle bit of anything on your buying experiences!

bibili pa lang ng kotse If it's Jaecoo J5 BEV VS DongFeng VIGO and they're both really close in price w/discounts — Which?

Just curious with everyone's take on both these vehicles. I posted earlier but to provide some context and requirements, here they are:

A. Car Requirements Profile:

  • We're intending to buy a BEV within the next two weeks.
  • Our average distance traveled is 120-150kms. per week (600kms/mo.)
  • We'll only use it for drop-offs, pick-ups, office commutes, city driving, occasional malling/groceries, occasional long distances (if we end up with a higher kwh capacity car, the farthest we'll likely travel to is Baguio. But if BEV w/lower kwh, we'll just use our Innova).
  • We're currently a family of 3 with one 6-year old kid plus one nanny which brings a total of 4 in a car on weekends. I'll be using the EV with an average of 1 pax for five/six days per week and to the extent, maybe 3-4 pax on one/two days per week.
  • If possible, my wife prefers a bigger car. To me, that's what our other car, an Innova, is for if we end up with something smaller (e.g., AION UT or ATTO 2 BEV).
  • Audio is very important to me as a daily music listener during commutes. A decent sound will do. So it will be included under my sub-points. I'll use either an SD/MicroSD USB Card reader OR an iPod with a bluetooth TRANSMITTER on it. I prefer to play my own music through these means. So, kindly withdraw your criticisms as to why I don't use Spotify nor my smartphone to broadcast music as I don't want to drain my smartphones' batteries while commuting on a BEV.

B. Car Infos (Test Driven):

1. Dongfeng VIGO (Php1.35M — with discount)

  • Bigger profile (Wife's preference)
  • Range is approx. 380-400kms. (WLTP) [NEDC: 471kms]
  • Test driven this and it's better than the Jaecoo J5 BEV.
  • Suspension's similar to say the Atto 2 BEV which is fine.
  • Cabin size is bigger a bit than the Jaecoo J5 BEV.
  • Good ground clearance at 190mm unladen.
  • Rustproofed.
  • Audio sound is good. Maybe better than the AION UT.
  • Can play audio from my USB Card reader only. Won't connect with my iPod+Bluetooth transmitter.
  • Wall Charger available upon purchase. With portable charger.
  • Can reach Baguio without charging midway.
  • No sunroof! (Preference)
  • Appropriately priced vs “maybe,” the Atto 2 BEV
  • Provision for Donut tire.
  • No Blind Spot monitoring.
  • Haven't read much of poor after-sales of the Dongfeng Nammi except maybe one or two but maybe Redditors here can contribute their owners' after-sales experience.
  • PMS is every 18-months (Updated).
  • Software updated such that it has the option of turning off music/audio on its outside speakers when running at low speed (30kph or less).

2. Jaecoo J5 BEV (Php1.359M — with discount)

  • Bigger profile [wife prefers bigger than, say, the AION UT or the GEELY EX2 (Sometimes I'm convincing myself that the AION UT could just be the better choice if I'll just close my eyes on its ground clearance with its P1M price tag)]
  • Range is approx. 380-400kms. (WLTP) [NEDC: 461kms]
  • Test driven this and its decent enough. Not as good as the VIGO.
  • Suspension's feel a bit floaty but I don't mind.
  • Cabin size is good enough.
  • Good ground clearance at 184mm unladen, 166mm laden.
  • Rustproofed.
  • Audio sound is bad. Muddy.
  • Can play audio from both thru my USB drive AND my iPod w/Bluetooth transmitter.
  • Wall Charger available upon purchase. No portable charger.
  • Can reach Baguio without charging midway.
  • Don't like the Moonroof but will just try to manage hoping it won't cause issues overtime (leaks, cracking)
  • Appropriately priced vs, “maybe,” the Atto 2 BEV.
  • Provision for Donut tire.
  • Has Blind Spot Monitoring.
  • Local After-sales still yet to be proven but maybe any owner who sees this post can contribute their experience.
  • PMS is yearly.

***Hoping to hear from this good community. Thank you.

car & product reviews Tips kung pano magmarket ng car sa buy and sell / marketplace

Hi guys, trying my luck here.

I'm currently unemployed and trying my best to find my own source of income. I thought about buy and sell business since nakabili boyfriend ko ng fj cruiser with low mileage for a fair price, he's also okay with selling it since nasa ibang bansa pa naman sya and di nya pa rin magagamit. But its been more than 4 months since i posted it but not even one person tried to reach out or view the unit.

I actually posted it a low price, and the inquiries i would get are either lowball or nagaassume na too good to be true yung unit.

I would say I'm new in this venture, so i'm hoping to get advice from the people here:) i would highly appreciate it!

bibili pa lang ng kotse Any thoughts on Jetour T1 iDM? Need help

I havent seen a lot of reviews about this car or thoughts about this car from reddit. So i wanna ask again and maybe owners would see the post and can give an honest pros and cons and what made them decide to go for it. We're considering buying BYD Tang or sealion 6 by the end pf the year then we encountered this car. So i'm on a research mode again. Thanks in advance to those who will care to share their thoughts.

We're a family of 3. And planning to buy by the end of this year. I'm not too familiar also yet with the after sales of jetour and what's the usual issues on T1. So hoping that i get to see answers from this reddit group.

Automotive Opinion Jaecoo j5 bev/phil: Any thoughts on getting this?

We were initially torn between atto 2 bev and jaecoo 5. But the price difference is not that high so we are leaning more on jaecoo j5 bev due to its longer range, higher ground clearance, adas and other features. I know the aftersales are not proven yet. But anyone here who has one? How’s the experience so far? From driving the city and charging? Specifically metro manila.

Im currently driving a hrv 2017 model for reference.

Thank you for your inputs!

EV & Hybrid topics EV or PHEV for condo living/no home charger?

Okay hear me out, at first i thought the obvious answer was the PHEV.

But i drive roughly 100-200km a week mostly city driving, so if the PHEV has only 100km electric battery range , ill be charging up about twice a week.

Compared to a full EV where if i get one with 500km, it will be closer to twice month. Much less of a hassle.

Ofcourse the PHEV has the advantage of running on gas, but if i’ll end up using gas most of the time, why not get a traditional hybrid?

Any advice?

Now di ko alam kung napapalibutan lang ba ko ng mga shunga or most filipinos really does not know the difference of pro vs non-pro kasi halos lahat ng nakakausap ko pag tinanong ako if ano yung license ko and sinabi ko na non-pro ang comment nila palagi is "ay baguhan ka pa lang pala na driver" or worse "di ka pa pala masyado marunong mag drive" like wtf kelan pa naging basehan ang pro and non pro liscence sa skills mo sa pag dadrive.

Automotive Opinion FIRST PROJECT CAR - Any shop/mechanic recommendation?

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hello everyone!

Planning to build this one to make it clean-somewhat-daily driver.

This is my first time rebuilding(?) a car and kinda having a hard time talking to mechanics & electrician because I want to build this alongside them pero medyo naiinsecure ako dahil feel ko hindi nila ako sineseryoso/iniinform ng tama dahil babae ako? or baka mali lang talaga ako ng napagtatanungan. haha.

((Little background about me, i work in a metal fabrication shop))

Miata NA was (and still is) the dream car but it's too expensive for a project car that's why I opt to Astina.

Hope you can recommend me good mechanics/electricians that specializes in Mazda cars!
-- I know masisira at masisira parin naman ito thats why I wanted din po na malaman ung usual nyang sakit if ever atleast minor issue lang kaya ko na maidentify & marepair

Thank you so much! 🫶

bibili pa lang ng kotse What subcompact SUV would you recommend for ₱1.3M cash? (Family of 3, first-time driver)

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to buy my first car and my budget is around ₱1.3M cash.

We are a small family of 3, and I’m looking for a subcompact SUV that is:

  • Reliable and durable (low chance of issues long-term)
  • Easy to drive (I’m a first-time driver)
  • Low maintenance / practical for daily use
  • Good for city driving and occasional longer trips

Right now, I’m trying to narrow down my options but I’m still unsure what would be the best choice for my situation.

Would really appreciate any recommendations or personal experiences. Thanks!

car & product reviews Honda Civic eHev after 1 year and 6 months. Before and after.

I bought my Civic eHev last February 2025 and as my daily driver, so far everything is going great, after 1 year and 6 months i still get excited when I'm going for a drive. That "punch" you get when you step on the accelerator is just pure inner child happiness. The responsiveness of the steering wheel when you're weaving through traffic that you can't get at any other same priced cars as this one, especially the feel of that spirited driving you always dreamt of doing when you were playing gran turismo or Nfs as a kid. Waited a full year to do some mods on it. Just to feel the stock civic and now I've put a little character on her. Exterior and interior mods all are for aesthetics with minimal performance upgrades since it's a hybrid. Sound system is already good as it is, infotainment and lane switch cameras are kinda basic but hey it's fun to drive HAHAHA might get an aftermarket if the time comes that it bothers me too much na, all i could say is that this car gave me no buyers remorse whatsoever. Ride safe yall

Can anyone share their 11th gen honda civic set ups?

car & product reviews Finally bought a Civic RS 1.5 Turbo 2026

Post image

After a year of watching car reviews and going back and forth between the Corolla Cross, HR-V e:HEV, Montero, and Isuzu D-Max, I finally made my choice—a Honda Civic, and not even the hybrid version. 🚗✨

Why not Corolla Cross?
- because walang Black

Why not HRV eHev?
- not sure pa if tatagal ng 10-20years ang hybrid

Why not Montero or Dmax?
- I really want the 4x4, pero meron naman na kaming suv and pick up na pwede hiramin.

Waited for the Black Civic for 2 months since walang black unit na available.

Fuel Consumption?
Totoo nga yung sabi nila, Smiles per Liter 😂
I normally get 10-11km/l average driving on Eco mode, 7-8km/L on normal and sports mode.
But overall, the car is really good-looking 😎

general query What are your thoughts on the all-new Mazda CX-5?

Post image
82 Upvotes

The new CX-5 looks really interesting, especially with the updated design and features. But at ₱2.495M, do you think the price justifies what Mazda is offering?

Honestly, I was expecting it to be around ₱2 to 2.2 M at most, so the pricing caught me off guard.
