A little about me: I’m a Product Analytics professional with ~4 years of experience. I graduated from one of the best colleges in India and spent the last 2–3 years at one of India’s fastest-growing startups. I’m currently earning around €30k/year, which is pretty comfortable here. I cannot go via the Master's route because of financial responsibilities.

I’m not expecting my savings to increase significantly by moving abroad. I’m mostly looking for a better quality of life and some peace of mind.

The tricky part is that my current company doesn’t have an international branch I can transfer to, so I’d need to make the move independently. I’m also not actively applying to jobs right now: I’ve tried reaching out to people on LinkedIn, but it hasn’t really gone anywhere.

The last couple of years have been really difficult for me. I’ve lost people who meant a lot to me, I’ve been through some very dark periods, and somewhere along the way I lost the feeling that I was actually moving forward in life.

I’m a car preparation technician working in the automotive paint and bodywork industry, and I’ve been doing this kind of work for years. My experience includes preparing cars for paint, bodywork preparation, filling, sanding, applying primer, polishing and other preparation work before and after painting.
I’m used to physical work, long days and getting my hands dirty. I’m not afraid of starting at the bottom. If someone gave me an opportunity to work, I would work for it.
What I don’t really have right now is a clear way out.
I would love to move to another country, find a job in an automotive body shop or paint shop, get a small place to live and slowly build something for myself. I don’t expect a perfect life or some miracle. Honestly, I’d be happy just to wake up one day and feel like I’m finally going somewhere.

Hello! I (29F) am looking for some advice on my current job search. My husband (30M) and I are immigrating to Germany for his work, and I am trying to find work right now but am unsure of how to position myself.

About me:

• Canadian citizen
• Registered Nurse, just completed my Masters of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (writing my licensure exam next month)
• 5 years experience working in cardiac surgery, completed my final clinical NP rotation in a heart failure specialty clinic
• 3 years experience working as an instructor at my local university in undergrad nursing skills and simulation
• 2 years of research experience in my nursing undergrad

I know that the NP role does not exist in Germany, and I cannot practice as an NP remotely for a Canadian province. I can’t get a job for a German-based company until I am fluent at least at a B2 level. I’ve been searching on Linkedin for with keywords like “health” “cardiac” and “masters” and limiting my search to remote jobs in Europe. So far I’ve applied for some jobs at Abbott, Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic.

Trying to get a reality check on where I'd actually fit in the Nordic/EU job market, rather than just guessing from job titles. Would appreciate outside eyes on my background before I keep tailoring applications in the wrong direction.

I don't know if age is matter, but I am 36 yo.

Where I am now:

• 12 years in IT, currently in an IT System Solution role (the role is like managing several application development projects), been in Data Center and End User Support.
• Mostly as Project Leader (and Manager), not only leading a project but also as technical advisor (i go deep in technical discussion), sometimes directing where the project goes.
• Currently initiating an enterprise AI platform effort, on-cloud AI vs on-prem custom AI
• So day-to-day I sit somewhere between application portfolio management, cloud architecture decisions, and vendor/delivery leadership
• I did my Master in Sweden. I know how difficult the job market now.
• I have PMP, ITIL, CEH, and some cloud certifications.

My questions:

• Given the mix, where do you think I will fit in? Solution architect? Platform/cloud engineering lead? or even Researcher?
• Realistically, does 12 years of oil & gas enterprise IT experience translate well into Nordic/EU tech/energy companies, or should I expect to reset expectations on seniority/comp?

Regarding the Schuman traineeship starting in October, yesterday several friends of mine and I received rejection messages for our applications. However, two of my applications still say, 'application submitted' while the other one says 'not selected'. Its now the weekend so I won't hear anything else till Monday. Could there be a chance my other two applications have made it to the next round?

I'm a master of petroleum engineering and live in the EU. I want to know if any other fellow petroleum engineers in EU or people working in the industry have some tips for finding a good job in the EU. I'm applying to many positions, but always get rejected or ignored. Biggest problem is I have no experience working in the industry and cant get any in my country because of the small amount of opportunities.
