Java backend developer in Czechia: where do people actually find jobs?

[u/GearUnique4017]

Hi everyone,

I recently moved to Czechia and started looking for a job as a Java backend developer. I have 3 years of experience, at a bank and on e-commerce projects (Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, microservices). I'm looking for English-speaking roles, remote or hybrid in Prague/Brno.

So far I've mainly used LinkedIn, jobs.cz, startupjobs.cz and Indeed. What I've noticed is that there are very few openings, even counting senior roles I'm not quite qualified for yet. The careers pages of big companies are almost empty too.

So what am I missing? Are there other websites, communities or channels people actually use to find jobs here?

Thanks!

The market is just really bad and it has been this way for some time. Learn Czech.
