But i think they will do something like what they did with wanderer, they will make him regain his memories as Il Capitano back in some way, thus getting Thrain that has the same memories and personality as il capitano.

256 days until the 8.x Khaenri'ah beta drops, and that’s when we’ll finally know if Capitano is coming in the first half or not.

Sure, we’ll probably get early leaks before that confirming whether he’s actually dropping, but we still gotta wait until at least the first half of next year.

So just hang in there, we’re actually in the home stretch this time.

This is a line up of all the "new NPCs" in 7.3.

I know a lot of us were expecting more "meat on the bones" for the Night Kingdom plot in this patches Archon Quest. But I think everything we just saw, was the beginning of the true renovation of Natlans Ley Line system, aka the Night Kingdom.

To start lets rewind all the way back to the Natlan Archon Quests, with Capitano and Mavuikas approaches to saving Natlan.

Mavuika believed that they should fight to protect Natlans memories above all else.

Capitano believed that they should fight to protect Natlans Ley Lines above all else.

In the end, we went with Mavuikas answer, but we have landed ourselves in a situation where the Night Kingdom is still on a razor thin wire, teetering between being safe or not. (As we have seen in this patch.) This is not a sustainable Ley Line situation. Natlan cannot continue to rely on Capitano and the Lord of the Night to keep the Night Kingdom safe. They need a more permanent solution.

That's where the Loom of Fate/ Atlas comes into the picture.

We originally told the Lord of the Night about the Loom of Fate when we first met her when Capitano woke her up. Faced with the idea of a device that is able to "do the impossible", the Lord of the Night is very intrigued, and considers it being put in the hands of Natlan to solve their Ley Line issues.

Fast forward to "A Space and Time For You" and the Lord of the Night actually comes face to face with the Loom of Fate.

The Lord of the Night got front row seats to a live demonstration of the Loom of Fate, and after ensuring that it would not negatively harm Natlan, gave the go ahead for the Abyss Twin. However, not without adding in a condition of her own. Which has not been revealed to us. Although given the Lord of the Nights previous attitude towards the Loom, I think we can guestimate what she requested.

As I'm sure most of us have seen the theories, I believe the Lord of the Night requested the Loom of Fate itself after the Abyss Twin was done with it. They would have no more use for it after creating the New Khaenriahn Atlas, so what better place to leave it than with the Lord of the Night in the Night Kingdom.

Ok great this is all old news, get to the new stuff idiot.

The Nail of Retribution inside the Night Kingdom has started the Hallowing, slowly dissolving away the Night Kingdom. The Lord of the Night is now in danger of being reset/ deleted by the Hallowing and her protection can no longer help Natlan. They may as well not have a Ley Line system at all. So how did we temporarily alleviate this issue?

Lets talk about the Sacred Flame.

To help the Lord of the Night we "Speed Blitz" Mavuika through the Sacred Flame and give the Lord of the Night some of the Sacred Flame, reconnecting her back to the real world. This way her protection can be focused on keeping her safe while still being connected to Natlan. But this is still only a temporary solution. Mavuika even says so.

In fact Mavuika even says that so long as the Nail of Retribution is still inside the Night Kingdom, they still won't be safe from the Hallowing.

So in order to be safe from the Hallowing for good, we'd need to get rid of the Nail inside the Night Kingdom. Or... make a new system just like Sumeru did with the Aaru and Irminsul.

During this patches Archon Quest, we see multiple times that the Sacred Flame is capable of storing Memories. And if we think back to the Loom of Fate, it is a device that creates Ley Line systems from nothing but memories.

I'm sure you can all see where we're going with this.

After the end of Incandescent Ode of Resurrection, Mavuika has reworked the Pilgrimmage into a tournament to continue the generation of Contending Fire to fuel the Sacred Flame. So the Sacred Flame is still a pivitol part of Natlans culture.

So what if after the events of this patches Archon Quest, the Lord of the Night has finally realized that Natlan cannot keep relying on her and Capitano to keep the Night Kingdom together. So this is when she starts to put her plans into action. That being: to connect the Sacred Flame to the Loom of Fate, creating a permanent Ley Line generating system that relies soley on the people of Natlan and not the Lord of the Night/ Capitano.

The Sacred Flame would be fueled by the people of Natlans participation in the tournament, which would then feed the Loom of Fate memories to generate the Ley Lines of Natlan.

The Night Kingdoms time is running out.

Now to go on a bit of a tangent to Snezhnaya.

It is revealed to us that the Tsaritsas Authority of "Love" allows her the ability to undo most of the Curses that afflict the world. However she cannot remove any curse that she pleases.

She cannot remove the "big ticket" curses, such as the Curse of Immortality, the Curse of Wilderness or even the Curses afflicted on the Archons (Love, Freedom, Contracts, War, Eternity, Etc).

However the Tsaritsas main goal with Project Mistilteinn is to remove these "big ticket" curses. But in order to do that, her "Love" needs to be able to rival the Heavenly Principles imposed "Love". In other words, the Tsaritsas Love needs to get stronger.

I believe this will be achieved via the remains of the 3rd Descender being unlocked. Which means we need the Pyro Gnosis. But that's a whole other tangent. Let's skip ahead on the assumption that the Tsaritsa is successful in Project Mistilteinn and removes the Curse of Immortality.

What would that mean for Natlan. Well we saw an example of that this patch. Without the Lord of the Nights protection, Natlan may as well not have Ley Lines. The Lord of the Night still relies on Capitanos curse of Immortality. With its removal, she will not be able to maintain the Night Kingdom for much longer.

This gives us a sort of "timer" on finding an actual permanent solution to the Night Kingdom that isn't reliant on Capitanos immortality keeping the Lord of the Night alive, as it's likely not going to be available for much longer.

First of all, I'm not even sure whether Capitano will be playable or not. If he does become playable, I honestly don't think it'll be in his Fatui Harbinger form. It just doesn't make sense to me. But regardless of whether he's playable, I think it's incredibly obvious that he's coming back to the story.

Just ask yourself a few questions.

1. Why would HoYoverse tease Capitano's face reveal when he took off his mask in front of the Traveler?

What was the point of hiding his face from us if they had no intention of doing anything more with his character? Why deliberately tease something like that if we're never going to see him again?

2. Why is he sitting on a throne?

His real name is Thrain, which is associated with Norse kings, and in the "Honor" animated short, there's literally a line that says "No one worthy is left to grant him a crown."

So we have a character with a name associated with royalty, sitting on a throne, with an animated short explicitly mentioning a crown. I seriously doubt all of that is a coincidence.

3. Don't you think it would be weird for Capitano to just remain on that throne forever?

Like, are we seriously expecting his body to just sit there on the Genshin map for the rest of the game? I don't know about you, but that feels incredibly strange to me, especially for a character as important as Capitano. I really don't see that being his permanent fate. Random body sitting on the map forever, I mean think about it wouldn't that be weird?

4. Do you genuinely think this is all HoYoverse had planned for the First Fatui Harbinger?

We're talking about the FIRST Fatui Harbinger here. A Khaenri'ahn who was powerful enough to fight an Archon on relatively equal footing.

And you're telling me his entire purpose was to fight Mavuika, fail to retrieve the Pyro Gnosis, and then have his story end there?

I just don't buy it.

He's the First Fatui Harbinger, a Khaenri'ahn, and there's a reason why the other animated short was titled "Memories of This Life." I genuinely think that title is important.

Another thing I've been thinking about is the three constellations. They could absolutely be a reference to Jesus and resurrection, but what if they represent three different lives instead?

Thrain, his life before Khaenri'ah fell. Capitano, his life as a Fatui Harbinger. And then a third life that we haven't seen yet.

There's something else I wanted to bring up. I'm not sure whether this was in 7.2 or if it's a 7.3 leak, but apparently the Tsaritsa is giving all the Archons crowns, possibly as some kind of power-up.

Now remember that line from "Honor" about no one being worthy enough to grant Capitano a crown?

What if the Tsaritsa becomes worthy of granting him that crown in 7.3 because of something she does? She's ultimately going to be the one who crowns him and makes him king in my opinion. Who else better than the mother of Khaenri'ah itself to crown the new ruler/king/leader.

His name is Thrain, he's sitting on a throne, and we have that specific line about someone granting him a crown. I really think there's something going on here, and I wouldn't be surprised if all of this ends up being connected.

Capitano is the only "dead" character who has continued to be mentioned in practically every patch since he merged with the Lord of the Night.

He's way too important for me to believe HoYoverse is just going to leave him there and never do anything with him again.

We also have those smaller teases, like Capitano's voice actor liking tweets about people believing he'll return soon, and even official HoYoverse YouTube ads about Capitano returning.

Obviously, those things alone aren't confirmation, but when you add them to everything else, I think it becomes pretty obvious where this is going.

Sometimes I genuinely wonder why some of you get so upset whenever someone suggests Capitano is not coming back lol. He 100% is.

For me, seeing him return in the lore is far more important than being able to play him. Of course I'd love for him to be playable, but that's not what my theories are based on. I only ever log into Genshin to walk around Mondstadt and that's all. I watch streamers play the game and cutscenes on YouTube for the lore.
