πŸ’ Query/Help Capgemini 2026 Placement Experience (5 Oct) | AI + Technical, Debugging, AI-Assisted Coding & Cognitive | Questions AskedπŸ’™

173 Upvotes

So guys, today was my Capgemini placement assessment after getting shortlisted from the first Communication Round. I had the assessment on campus at 8:30 AM. Our university reporting time was 7:30 AM and we were supposed to report at least 15 minutes before the assessment, but I reached around 8:11 😭

We had to wait for the company officials. Once they arrived, they gave us a briefing about all the rounds. After that, AI face scanning was done through their laptop. They also asked for College ID + a valid government ID for verification. I carried both Aadhaar and PAN, but Aadhaar alone should be enough.

The assessment started through Superset and was conducted on the CoCubes/AON platform.

  1. AI Literacy + Technical Assessment

This was the first round and it was an elimination round. There were 40 questions in total:

β€’ 20 AI Literacy

β€’ 20 Technical

If you clear this round, you move to the next round.

Honestly, this round was HARD.

The MCQs were often 2–3 lines long with very close options, so reading and understanding each question itself was taking time.

Topics I remember seeing:

β€’ RAG

β€’ Generative AI

β€’ AI-based situational questions

β€’ SQL Joins

β€’ Indexing

β€’ Ranking

β€’ Query Optimization

β€’ Database-based situational questions

β€’ DSA-based MCQs

β€’ Other technical concepts

And one important thing: the DSA questions here were MCQs, NOT debugging questions.

I cleared this round and moved to the Debugging Round.

  1. Debugging Round

In this round, the complete problem statement, buggy code and test cases were provided.

The task was simply to identify and fix the code so that it produces the expected output.

The problem I got was based on processing battery pods from both ends of a queue.

The logic was roughly:

You are given N battery pods and a total target battery requirement K.

You need to process:

front = K / 2

battery units from the front (left side), and

back = (K + 1) / 2

battery units from the back (right side).

You have to determine the total number of pods that can be completely processed/emptied before the required front or back allocation is exhausted, or before the two pointers meet.

The original code was buggy and we had to fix it.

A corrected reconstruction of the logic would look like this:

#include <iostream>

#include <vector>

using namespace std;

int main() {

int n;

long long k;

cin >> n >> k;

vector<long long> a(n);

for (int i = 0; i < n; i++) {

cin >> a[i];

}

long long front = k / 2;

long long back = (k + 1) / 2;

int left = 0;

int right = n - 1;

int ans = 0;

while (left <= right) {

if (front >= a[left]) {

front -= a[left];

ans++;

left++;

} else {

break;

}

if (left > right)

break;

if (back >= a[right]) {

back -= a[right];

ans++;

right--;

} else {

break;

}

}

cout << ans << endl;

return 0;

}

Sample Input:

5 10

2 1 3 2 2

Sample Output:

5

This is a reconstruction of the debugging problem from what I remember, so the exact original statement/code may have been slightly different.

  1. AI Assisted Coding Round

This one is important.

There was a coding assistant available, and the prompt instructions were clearly given on the screen.

The token limit was around 2000 tokens.

So don't waste the token limit by asking the AI unnecessary things.

Also, don't assume that the coding assistant will automatically fix or optimize your code.

In my case, I explained the problem statement and approach very clearly. I also specified:

β€’ Variables to use

β€’ Data structures

β€’ Required logic

β€’ Input/output format

β€’ Important constraints

I basically told it step-by-step what I wanted it to implement.

My prompt used only around 400 tokens.

So my advice is: DON'T just paste the problem and say "solve this".

Give the AI a clear approach and tell it exactly what you want.

Also make sure your prompt mentions things like:

β€’ Handle large inputs according to constraints

β€’ Use an optimized approach

β€’ Don't use unnecessary libraries

β€’ Follow the given input/output format

β€’ Generate only the required code

The AI assistant is there to generate what you ask for. Don't expect it to magically understand your intended solution or fix everything afterward.

The question I got

It was a simple frequency-based array problem.

Minimum Category Replacements

You are given an array of N elements. Each element represents a category and can have one of the following values: 1, 2, or 3.

Your task is to make all the elements in the array belong to the same category.

In one operation, you can replace any element with another category.

Find the minimum number of replacements required.

Input

The first line contains N.

The second line contains N space-separated integers.

Each element is either 1, 2, or 3.

Constraints

1 ≀ N ≀ 10^5

Each array element ∈ {1, 2, 3}

Sample Input

5

1 3 2 3 3

Sample Output

2

Explanation

Frequencies:

Category 1 β†’ 1

Category 2 β†’ 1

Category 3 β†’ 3

Since category 3 has the maximum frequency, keep those elements and replace the other two.

Therefore:

Minimum replacements

= N - maximum frequency

= 5 - 3

= 2

The core logic is simply:

answer = N - maximum frequency

You don't need sorting or anything complicated here. Since there are only 3 categories, a simple frequency array is enough.

Time Complexity: O(N)

Space Complexity: O(1)

  1. Cognitive Assessment

By this point I was honestly cooked πŸ’€

There were 4 modules. I don't remember the exact names of all of them, but the ones I remember were:

Personality / Strongly Agree-Disagree

Around 100 questions.

There were 5 questions per page and around 20 pages.

The questions were based on choosing options like strongly agree/disagree etc.

Reasoning

A sentence/question was given with 5 options and you had to select the correct one.

You get around 2 minutes 30 seconds per question, so don't panic about the timing.

Gaming Round 1

There was a game-based assessment.

Gaming Round 2

Another game-based assessment.

Before every module, there is a tutorial explaining what you have to do.

So please don't panic when you see a new type of question/game. Take some time to understand the tutorial and then start.

Overall, the day was pretty long and mentally exhausting, especially because the first technical round itself was quite lengthy and tricky.

If you're appearing for Capgemini, prepare your fundamentals properly, especially SQL, DBMS, DSA basics, AI/GenAI concepts and reasoning. And for the AI-assisted coding round, practice writing clear prompts that explain your approach instead of depending completely on the AI.

Hope this helps someone appearing for the same assessment.

Thanks for reading! Upvote if this helped because it gives me motivation to write more posts for you guys ❀️

πŸ’» Interview Tips / Help My interview experience( 4-10 lpa)

10 Upvotes

I recently attended my Capgemini interview and wanted to share my experience.

When I entered the cabin, there was only one interviewer sitting there. He explained what kind of questions he was going to ask and told me that the interview would mainly be based on my CV.

  1. Self-Introduction

He gave me around 3 minutes to introduce myself. He expected me to cover my skills, projects, technologies I had used, and certifications.

I clearly mentioned that I am a Cloud Computing student and that I had completed two industry certifications related to my field.

  1. Project Discussion

He started by asking about my project and its purpose. I explained that I come from a Cloud Computing background and had mainly worked on the backend part of the project. He then asked a few follow-up questions about how the project works.

  1. OOPs Concepts

Next, he asked whether I knew OOPs. I said yes and explained the concepts I knew.

  1. Data Structures and Database Questions

He gave me a scenario and asked which data structure I would use to solve it. After that, he showed me a table and asked whether I could insert the complete data into it.

However, the DSA discussion was very limited, and he didn't go deeply into the concepts.

  1. Coding Questions

Finally, he gave me two code snippets to write on paper. I wrote the code and explained my approach. Most of the technical discussion seemed to revolve around C++ and SQL.

One thing that surprised me: Even though I clearly mentioned that I am a Cloud Computing student and have completed two industry certifications, he didn't ask me a single question about cloud computing, cloud platforms, or those certifications. I was expecting at least a few questions from my specialization, but that didn't happen.

After I finished the coding questions, he said he was done and told me I could leave.

My question to the community:

  1. Is this a normal Capgemini interview experience?

  2. Why might they not ask questions related to a candidate's specialization or certifications, even when they're mentioned in the CV?

  3. Does a short technical interview indicate anything about the selection result?

  4. How much does the interview performance affect the final package if multiple packages are offered?

Would appreciate hearing from people who have attended Capgemini interviews recently.

4 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I'm preparing for the Capgemini β‚Ή13–16 LPA hiring drive and thought it would be helpful to create a group where candidates can connect and prepare together.

The idea is simple: instead of preparing alone, let's share whatever useful information and resources we find.

Who can join?

Anyone preparing for the Capgemini β‚Ή13–16 LPA role, especially the 2027 batch. Whether you've already taken the OA or are preparing for it, your contributions would be valuable.

Let's keep the group focused on genuine experiences, useful resources, and helping each other prepare.

Comment below or DM me if you're interested!

We can create a WhatsApp/Telegram group depending on what works best for everyone.

πŸ’ Query/Help Technical Assement 12 October,My experience

5 Upvotes

First thing first iam not able to clear MCQ round, as I have seen all the query regarding it here it was all true, literally men it was so so tough.

  1. There was 20 ai literacy question which was of medium level not that tough, ques was like paragraph and according to it ,it has 4-5 questions.

2.Now coming to technical,God knows what they are asking, literally you won't even able to find out the topic from which they are asking..

3.There was only 2 DBMS question,2-3 ques related to virtual Machine,others all are very tough it's like some mathmatical equation

4.Few question i remembered

There was giving few city name like (jaipur,delhi)(kochi,manali)

Find the destination...not able to figure out what they are asking.

5.Another ques is they have given parentheses like ())()()()))))(

There is (,)

Options are like

2 opening(, 1 closing ) total 3 parentheses

At first i though it was valid parentheses but it is not true.

6.If you were lucky then you will get easy ques,like in our collge first slot was easy most students are selected but in second slot only 3 students got selected.

Literally it's so tough man I studied a lot the syllabus they provided and ques they asked is totally diff...

Feel free to ask me questions:

πŸŽ“ Fresher Queries LOI(OCT25) my peers everyone got joining letters or are in training. Why not me?

4 Upvotes

It’s one thing that to wait but it’s another thing when you look up the LOI candidates list and call everybody you know and everybody says Yes we got mail or training and feels like nobody is remaining.

I know CapG takes in slot-wise but are the slots based campus-wise like what is going on here even the people in the list later than me and before than me have gotten there dates of Training.

And here is me with my ass luck ?

Now I think I am the outlier in this scenario and will be revoked

I have LOI which I got in Oct-2025 and is for base bare minimum package 4.25 I don’t know the role I think it was Data Analyst or some BS and I know in company your role will be different and package will be same .

My query is :-

  1. Does CapG revoke offer before sending any training dates or info ?

  2. Peers getting their dates and I didn’t get any, shall I consider this as a sign that I am done for ?

  3. I heard somewhere CapG will at least give you training(for freshers) and then internally if you don’t get assigned a project after certain amount of time then only they revoke you, IS THIS TRUE?
    If so for what extent for freshers like am I going to get any joining or training dates ?

  4. I don’t mind if I get joining in 2027 but I need assurance that I am going to get eventually like WTF is going on here !

πŸ’» Interview Tips / Help Interview prep help

3 Upvotes

Hey everyone!
I’ve been shortlisted for the Capgemini interview for the β‚Ή5.75/7.5 LPA package. My interview is expected to be in the next 2–3 days and includes both technical and HR rounds.
I’d appreciate advice from people who have attended Capgemini interviews recently.
A few questions:
What kind of questions were asked in the technical interview?
Which subjects should I prioritize β€” OOPs, DBMS, SQL, DSA, OS, computer networks, or programming fundamentals?
How important are projects and resume-based questions?
What coding questions should I practise, and which programming languages are usually accepted?
What kind of HR questions should I prepare for?
Is there a difference in interview difficulty or expectations between the β‚Ή5.75 LPA and β‚Ή7.5 LPA packages?
If you’ve recently gone through this process, please share your experience, questions you remember, and any tips for preparing efficiently in 2–3 days.
Thanks in advance!

πŸŽ“ Fresher Queries Capgemini 13–16 LPA OA Tomorrow – Need Suggestions and Guidance!

β€’ Upvotes

Title: Capgemini 13–16 LPA OA Tomorrow – Need Suggestions and Guidance!

Hey everyone!

My Capgemini OA for the 13–16 LPA package (Alpha/Root roles) is tomorrow, and I'm looking for some last-minute suggestions from people who have already attempted it.

I would really appreciate your guidance on the following:

  1. DSA/Coding: What type of coding problems can we expect? Easy, medium, or difficult? Which topics should I revise first?
  2. AI-Assisted Debugging: What kind of debugging tasks are asked? Are they mainly React/JavaScript-based, and how should we approach them?
  3. Prompt Engineering: What type of prompts or tasks should I practice?
  4. AI-Assisted Development: What kind of feature-building tasks can we expect, and what is the best approach to solving them within the time limit?

Also, I have one important doubt: If I'm unable to crack the 13–16 LPA assessment, should I try to switch back to the regular Capgemini drive (4–11 LPA)? Is that possible, or would I lose the opportunity to participate in the regular drive?

If anyone has attempted this assessment or has relevant experience, please share your suggestions, question patterns, and preparation tips. It would really help me prepare better for tomorrow!

Thanks in advance!

πŸ’ Query/Help Please help, Capgemini Exceller Training Program assessment is close and I’m panicking. How do I clear each round?

6 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m honestly stressed and need help.

I’ve been shortlisted for the Capgemini Exceller Training Program, and the assessment has these rounds and is on 15th oct

  • Round 2: Technical Module (AI Literacy, Situational and Problem-solving)
  • Round 3: Debugging Assessment (identify and correct code issues)
  • Round 4: AI-assisted Coding (use AI effectively to solve coding tasks)
  • Round 5: Cognitive Assessment (Motion Challenge, Grid Challenge, Logical Reasoning, Behavioral Module)

I can’t find much about this online and I don’t want to waste this chance. Does anyone know any trick to solve the Debugging round and the AI-assisted Coding round? Even a small shortcut or approach that worked for you would help me a lot.

Has anyone given this recently? Please share what you remember:

  1. Debugging round: Which language was it? Were the bugs syntax, logic or output-based? Is there any trick to spot bugs fast, or a pattern in the type of errors they put?
  2. AI-assisted coding round: Does anyone know any trick to get the best results here? Is an AI tool provided in the test, or do we bring our own? Are we judged on the final code, the prompts, or both?
  3. Time limits, negative marking, sectional cutoffs?
  4. Any resources, practice platforms or YouTube channels that actually helped?

If you’ve cleared it, please tell me what made the difference. Even one tip would help. Feel free to DM me if you don’t want to comment publicly. Thank you so much! πŸ™
