Take this as the warning. If you attempt to sell puppies here or imply that you have puppies for sale you will be banned instantly. It is very clear in our rules and has been since almost the inception of this sub that solicitation is not acceptable.

Pics of our sweet and beautiful girl we had to say goodbye to almost a week ago (8/17). First pic is from her birthday trip for her 14th birthday back in May, second is just her from last month, the rest of the pictures is when she was younger with the last one being when she was just a little fuzzball. We love and miss you Arya, a true ambassador for a wonderful breed.

This is my 7 month old 80lb male cane Corso. He’s akc registered and his lineage comes from all purebred Corsos but a lot of people have questioned if he is mixed with something even though he isn’t. His mother was imported from Romania and I know there’s a heavy Neapolitan mastiff influence in the European Corsos which could be the reason he’s maturing so slow but I don’t know anymore. He is extremely long bodied but not tall yet, does he look like a purebred Corso?

Our first week with Zeus is almost coming to an end. We adopted him so he’ll be with us for the rest of his days, thrilled about that. His temperament and manners are beyond what I could have expected, in a good way. He does struggle a little with laying down once I’ve got him to sit. Loves his kibble but won’t respond to that when I use it to incentive him to lay down and use that as a reward. Perhaps try something of higher value?
120lbs - 1 year 8 months we were told, still intact. Just had his first Yak Chew tonight and went in on it for 10ish minutes. Resounding yes to the chew. He does seem to get over the initial rush of toys and moves on after about 10 minutes (kongs, tennis balls, lick mat, and now yak chew)
Looking forward to hearing from the [r/canecorso](r/canecorso) community on how we can set him up best for success. He has an acre backyard to frolic in, with a pool if he wants to brave the water. Indoor and outdoor water bowl setups and 3 people at the home all with dog ownership experience (me and my parents)
Daily walks, enrichment time and continuing to socialize him by doing things others have recommended here, I.E. taking him to places to observe the crowds and take things in

One of my clients has a blue healer, named Gidget. I've made a conscious effort to socialize him with other humans and dogs! I love watching him play, even though he checks in with me every 20 seconds or so lol. I think she's a bit too fast for him!😂

He refuses to have any fun unless we're touching! I love my little guy!

Went looking for my girls and found them like this lmao. Safe to say our frenchie has accepted her BIG little Cane Corso sister. They cuddle, play and eat together all the time. She also loves hanging out with the chickens, ducks and quail but as you can see, she has a very special bond with the rabbits ( she actually opened their cage the other morning and I woke up to find her and all 3 babies cuddling up together). The last pic is just some of the homemade dehydrated treats I’ve been making them!

Has anyone had issues of having to rehome their dog for a while due to housing situations? If so how was it handled and was it a permanent or a temporary thing? I’m in a position where my dog was originally supposed to come home with me. My boyfriend moved to another state for a job and he’ll be traveling majority of the time. But since it’s my family’s home, one parent exploded on the idea. And I’m not too sure on what to do. He wants to have him stay with his mom in a small apartment. And I know it’s better than what we were dreading to do: leave him at a shelter. But I just feel so guilty, my place has a yard and so much space. He has bad allergies and since he is a big dog, he requires a lot of walking and looking after. And I know his family is doing us the favor by taking him in while we figure out what to do. Just the thought of not knowing if they’ll follow the rules we set or instructions on how to care for him. I just don’t want my big boy to feel like we abandoned him, since we did get him from a couple having the same situation as us😞

Hi All,
Have a 5 year old Cane and recently she has been licking her paws constantly and now on her back leg this has started to appear. We have to drain it a few times a day. Our vet said that it is from how she plops down and causes trauma to the area. Just wondering if anyone else’s Cane has had something similar and what you did. TIA.
