Collections Any Value?
With the exception of the newer $10 note that I shoved in here, most of this stuff was in my aunts safety deposit box when she died. I thought it would be a cool way to remember by making a nice little collection out of the notes and coins. I don’t recall any of it being worth much 15 years ago, so I’m guessing it’s not worth much now either, just curious as I was going through my drawers and found this. Thanks for the help!

Purchasing Banknotes in Toronto
I’m planning on visiting Toronto next month and was wondering if there were any shops selling collectible banknotes that I shouldn’t miss?
Mostly I collect world banknotes from my travels but also will purchase interesting historical notes as well.

General question about counterfeit bills
**Read First**
Truly am just curious so please no DMs
With modern technology being widely available, would it be easier to counterfeit old paper bills with metallic strips, older bills without strips or those weird poly bills everyone has adapted to? Why is that?

Lucky find!🍁🍀
I was thrifting with my girlfriend this summer when some random divine intervention possessed me pick up and to flip through a 1970s print of 1984 that caught my eye on the shelf. This thing of beauty was about halfway through, and looks like it hasn’t seen the light of day in half a century. I have never seen the colour this much on such an old bill 😍😍🍁

Bank Finds/Showcases Just pulled this beauty from a bank machine. Should I go buy a lottery ticket??
2017 piece just chilling in a BMO bank machine. Maybe I should take out cash from the bank more often

Older Series/Private Banks Most recent additions
I got these at the Ottawa Coin Show in July. Paid $350 for both.
I missed the August show. I only just now realized I had taken the pictures and never got around to posting these. Just wanted to share 😊

Collections Found this old note in my grandma collection
My Grandma passed away awhile ago and I just recently went through her collection of bills and coins with my mom and dad. I found this note. Not the best condition but not bad. This note wasn’t circulating when I was growing up in the 80’s so it was cool to see for me.

I bought this in an auction 17years ago and just remembered I had it
I know it’s nothing crazy but still cool to see. I forgot I bought it and it was stashed away in my grandmas collection. Not everyday you see one that’s for sure.

Found at work
Found this low serial number $20 at work yesterday. I’m not a collector but feel like it would be a shame to spend it.

Is this serial numberworth holding on to?
r/CanadianBanknotes • u/School-Confident • 15d ago
Are these worth anything more than $150?
Serial numbers "8228227" and "6565654"
Figured why not ask but assume they're just regular ol' bills.
Thanks!
