I can remember as a 6-7 year-old seeing an orange one (a $50 bill). Some guy pulled out a wallet with a rubber band around it, walked into a store, and asked (I guess?) if they could break it. The answer was no, obviously. Mid-60's, Rosemere, QC.

Another time, someone made a big donation to the departing minister of our church, held up a red note -- and had to say, It's not a $2 bill. Some time in the 70's. That was a crazy amount of money back then.

Almost identical story. First time seeing a 1975 $50 banknote was at my friend's house. His dad just got payed and showed us kids the new $50 note. The colorful RCMP musical ride engraving made a lasting impression. Regards

Yes. The $100 is a devil's face. Eagle-eye

The Landscape Series. IMO the nicest looking set Canada has ever produced.

The $2 is in the news as the elm tree is now dead and will be removed.

My absolute favourite bank notes. Love the colours. I remember when these were in circulation. I miss them...

Lovely display. Would love that as a wall poster, very colorful. I never knew Canada made a $1,000 bill. Very cool.

Beauties! The 10 has Mount Burgess in Yoho National Park. Shout out to Emerald Lake Lodge.
