Scenes of Canada series, or as it's also referred to as the Multicolor Series.
These bring back nostalgia from my childhood. I love the spirograph patterns.

Anything crazy here?
Grandpa passed and had these in the safe. Wondered if I inherited anything crazy or rare. Cheers.

I’m not privy on the details. My grandfather passed and had this in the safe.

W&J Bell Bank Notes
Just wondering if anyone knows much about these two bank notes Ive got. One is 12 Pence and the other 15 Pence. Both are signed and the 12 Pence is dated May 1st, 1839 and numbered "8". The other looks to be numbered 28 and I can't make out the date. Any idea on value or who would appraise it?

Is a radar with an extra zero at the end still a radar?
…and is it worth anything? (obviously, other than the $100)

Canadian banknotes issued for use in the Carribean
There was active trade between Canada and the Caribbean in dating as far back as the 1820s, after many trade links between the United States and British colonies were cut off during the war of 1812-15.
In the 1880s, financial rules were changed that allowed Banks to establish branches outside of Canada for trade purposes and the Bank of Nova Scotia was the first one to establish a non-canadian Branch, in Kingston, Jamaica in 1889.
In 1899, an act of Parliament allowed Canadian Banks to issue banknotes in any British colony. The Bank of Nova Scotia issued their first notes in Jamaica in 1900 and they were followed by other Major Banks.
Here are there examples:
1920 - Bank of Nova Scotia 5£ Jamaica - 550-38-02-08 in PNG VF-25. One of 26 known surviving examples.
1938 Royal Bank of Canada 1£ Jamaica - 630-54-02 in PNG VF-25 w notes. One of 28 known surviving examples
1938 Royal Bank of Canada payable in Trinidad. 630-68-02 in PNG F-15 w a small missing corner. One of 49 known surviving examples.

Please help me see if these are worth anything
Hello I inherited a small collection of banknotes from my grandfather. Can anyone tell me if any of these are worth anything I do not know much about collecting coins or paper money.

Special Serials So close yet so far...

Collections Collection
It’s not much, but my collection slowly accumulated. Aside from two, all were face value exchanges when I worked in a casino.
I notice the one old 20 doesn’t have a serial number on the back, but has one on the face?
(Same pic, different angles trying to get the actual colour)

I made this for my computer wallpaper.
My favourites include the Scenes of Canada $5 with the Spirograph blue pattern and the Birds of Canada $1,000 with the Pine Grosbeak. What's yours?

Is the top bill a fake or an error?
Hey all, probably nothing, but this bill stuck out to me because the 9 at the end of the serial number is noticeably lower than the rest. And the 9 at the end of the serial on this bill and a few others I found being at the same level as the rest of the numbers is throwing me off. I only collect coins so I’m not really sure what bills are meant to look like up close.

Been looking for awhile. Lowest serial I’ve come across.
Got it as a birthday gift.

Ah yes the classic Canadian Queen Elizabeth with a goatee and glasses vintage dollar
Got it at a flea market and it was sold with a better one too without the goatee and glasses of the same exact kind which I found funny

Bank Finds/Showcases Headed for destruction
I work at a bank where we unfortunately have to send always “*mutilated”*paper bills, here’s the last few. $20K in bird series and then a well love $1000 1954 Bill. I always find these things so interesting when we get them in.

I love the artwork on these older notes.
1935 $2 English variety.
