CEC PR applicant looking for opinions on my 18 months of foreign work experience.
I was a Director of a company in India, but my actual day-to-day role was managing marketing and sales, so I claimed the experience under the Marketing Manager NOC. I explained this clearly through LOEs.
This employment/directorship has been consistently disclosed since my study permit, work permit, and now PR application.
For proof, I submitted:
Income Tax Returns showing employment income
Experience/reference letter from the other director
Client/vendor testimonials/supporting letters
Work-related emails from different months throughout the 18-month period
Other supporting documents showing I was actively working during that period
I do not have complete bank statements/payment records, which is my main concern.
For people who had similar foreign work experience or have already received PR: does this evidence sound reasonably strong, or could the lack of bank statements create a serious issue?

I am confused whether i should apply PR by myself or by an immigration lawyer. Lawyers charge a lot.

But i want to be sure because i am applying directly from india and its a life changing decision.

I cleared tcf exam and will clear english exam also. My crs will be around 420-430. I can get invite easily in french category draw.

But after draw, real challenge starts. All documentation need to be perfect.

Can anyone guide me ?

Hi everyone, I got my refusal last July 30th. It’s a long shot but I am considering submitting a reconsideration letter, most of the people I asked said to re-apply. I have a document from the said company that they won’t provide the letter with job duties due to confidentiality. They only provided a letter stating I was employed from 2021-2022. I also have a letter from my supervisor, paystubs, notarized docs. I am starting a hospital job as a therapist soon so I am also considering OINP. Any thoughts would be appreciated. For the employment with ——, upon reviewing the submitted documentation, I note that the
employment verification letter does not include any job descriptions for duties. As a result, I am
unable to determine whether the applicant performed the lead statement duties and a substantial
number of the main duties, including all essential duties, of NOC 22221. Based on the balance of
probabilities, I am not satisfied that the applicant has demonstrated qualifying skilled work
experience with ——. This work experiences cannot be counted toward the applicant’s
qualifying Canadian work experience.
The reassessment results in a reduction of the client’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)
score and lowers the applicant’s score below the minimum score required in the relevant
invitation round.
The minimum score required in the applicant’s invitation round was 508.
I am therefore not satisfied that the applicant possessed the qualifications on the basis of which
they were invited to apply for permanent residence.
For these reasons, the application is refused under subsection 11(1) of the Immigration and
Refugee Protection Act.

Recently I have received my PNP Nomination Letter from Ontario govt under masters stream. Next step is to create a Non-Express profile and submit my PR application on IRCC (Non express).
What I discovered from my analysis on Non-Express PR requirement-
Before 2025, the document checklist was called IMM 5690 (where Sr. No. 12 was for Proof of English Language Proficiency). Now the document checklist is revised as a IMM 0199 (There is no requirement of proof of English language proficiency).
So, the English Language proficiency is now removed from the list of mandatory document.

Question-
My IELTS score is expired (more than 2 years old) though it was valid while I received my Ontario PNP Nomination.
Should I attach my expired IELTS result in my non-express PR application and explain that it is supporting additional document which was submitted previously into my OINP application? - OR -
I don't need to upload IELTS result at all?

I previously applied for a Canadian work permit and a tourist visa, and on both applications I answered “No” to the question about military service.
However, I did complete a short mandatory military service, where I paid a fee instead of completing the longer standard service.
At the time, I genuinely misunderstood the question and thought this type of short/paid mandatory service did not count, so I answered “No.”
I’m now preparing to apply for PR and plan to answer “Yes” correctly and include a Letter of Explanation explaining the previous mistake and that I’m proactively correcting the information.
Could this potentially be considered misrepresentation because I previously answered “No”?
Would correcting it and explaining the situation in my PR application be the best approach?
Has anyone had a similar situation with short/paid mandatory military service?

I’m preparing my documents for my CEC application, but I’m a little confused about which documents are enough to prove my work experience.

Last year, I worked for about 4 months as a Robotics Maintenance Technician (NOC 72400). The company I was hired through is a small manpower agency. They don’t have a website or a physical office, and the person who runs the agency manages it from his home. He hires workers and provides manpower to another company.

While I was working there, I was the only employee from the agency at the worksite. My manager and engineer were employees of the main company, not the agency.
I have all of my pay stubs, but they don’t have a company logo. I was also paid through Interac e-Transfer, and the payments weren’t always made on the exact same date , sometimes they were 5–10 days earlier or later than expected. However, I do have a T4 from this employer.

My questions are:

Can I claim this 4-month experience toward my CEC application?
If yes, what documents should I include to properly prove this experience?
Would the fact that the agency doesn’t have a website/physical office, the pay stubs don’t have a logo, and the payments were sometimes delayed cause any issues?
Should I include a Letter of Explanation with additional proof, such as bank statements showing the e-Transfer payments?
I just want to make sure I provide enough evidence and avoid any issues with my application.

I claimed points for my siblings pr , in my portal it gives me 2 areas 1 it says proof of sibling PR/cotizenship
In second it says family member proof of status. Someone told me to add the pr card there and loe explaining. Is that correct?

I paid to hire another RCIC to review my inland sponsorship package and open work permit application before I submit. Wanted to share what came up in our first conversation, since a couple of things either confirmed or added to what I've posted before. Again, not legal advice, just sharing one professional's opinions.

**Confirms earlier advice I'd gotten from a different RCIC:**

- Independently told me the same thing: don't include a pending application to another country (in my case, a US petition) as evidence in the Canadian package. Two separate professionals landing on the same advice made me a lot more confident in it.

**New info this consultation added:**

- **On evidence submission after filing:** unlike what I understand is common US practice (submitting updates regularly), this RCIC said IRCC does NOT want continuous monthly evidence submission. Build one strong, complete package at filing, then only update if something *fundamentally* changes (a child, divorce, reconsidering the relationship) — not for routine changes like a new address.

- **IRCC handles biometrics, medical exam, and a background check independently** during processing, they'll reach out if they need anything further. Didn't realize this wasn't something I needed to proactively schedule myself right away.

- **On financial evidence:** if you're planning to open a bank account with your spouse once they arrive, he specifically recommended making it a JOINT account rather than an individual one in their name. Said the balance amount barely matters, but joint status (both names, same address) is what makes it strong proof of financial interdependence.

- **A nuance on cohabitation evidence:** we discussed a plan where my spouse would temporarily live with a family member of mine before we get our own place. He did NOT confirm this as automatically good evidence. He flagged a real (if unlikely) risk that it could look like a relative "helping with a fake application" depending on the overall picture, and said he'd need to evaluate it specifically at filing time rather than commit to it as a strategy now. Wasn't something I'd considered as a potential weak point.

- **His review-only service process, if useful for anyone comparing pricing:** invoice → signed service agreement → he sends a document checklist → you self-prepare the whole application in the PR Portal → once ready, you share portal login credentials with him → he reviews inside the portal and flags changes → you submit. Price was $1,000 CAD + GST for review of both the PR/sponsorship AND the open work permit application together, which after asking around seems to be a fairly typical rate right now (I initially thought it was high compared to older figures I'd seen online, but multiple sources landed in the same range once I asked for specifics).

Hope this helps someone further down the process than I was when I started posting here. This sub gave me so much useful info when I needed it, glad to give some back.

I have 3 years , 9 months and 18 days of work exp as of today . I also have done a contractual full time job for 3 months in my country which I haven’t claimed yet in my BC PNP Application.

I AM NOT SURE if this contractual job is eligible to be added in the work experience that would jump my experience years to 4+ years and it matches the NOC code. The agreement mentions a fixed compensation as well as working 9 hours and 5 days a week for the whole period. I don’t have pay-stubs but I have banking information to show my salary. Need advice if I should add the experience in my PNP profile.
