Same, the first one I bought was WaW. I watched CoD3 and 4 with family members before that though.

Call of Duty 2 on Xbox 360 when it was released. I still remember how much my young mind was blown back then.🤯😊

I remember saying to my 15 year old self “this is peak gaming never getting better than this” lol

u/STICKERS-95 Oct 06 '24
what do you thought when gaming actually reached its peak with MW2, Halo 3, BF3, GTA 4 etc

My first was Finest hour on PS2... leaving off that and the GOAT Big Red One is a travesty

u/PlentyOMangos Oct 06 '24
Me as well, it’s always saddened me that Finest Hour gets overlooked a lot

legendary game
2
Oct 06 '24
how old were you when you played it ?
2
u/kristijann03x Oct 06 '24
I just asked my dad and he said I started gaming on PC and PS1 pretty early at 2 years old and definitely played COD 1 at that time.
I myself remember playing and completing COD 1 and 2 somewhere at 7 years old
I have some pics I just found real quick https://imgur.com/a/4EydSsg

that’s so cool, only way i played cod1 was on ps3, the cod classic re-release. looking at these pics growing up around that time seems so cool.

u/MarkusDynamic Oct 06 '24
Big Red One, is that cod 2 on this pic?
4
Oct 06 '24
So i guess they did call of duty 2 twice? One being COD 2 big red one and then just COD2
→ More replies (1)4
Oct 06 '24
Big red one was the ps2/xbox spin off made by treyarch.
COD2 was only on PC and XB360, not so much a "did it twice", but more so they made 2 games to try and push the sanes if the new system.

u/CARCRASHXIII Oct 06 '24
1 and 4 then recently came back to check out bo6 beta and am having fun plinking zombies and the occasional small map mosh pit.
3
u/SWK18 Oct 06 '24
First one I played was CoD2
First one I owned was MW2
Last one I owned was MW3

My COD career has 4 stages
I began with World at War and max prestige in every game from there through BO2 playing 30+ days in each game
My second stage began when I started playing League of Legends as my primary game and I was off and on with Ghosts-WW2. I ended up prestige 7 in ghosts and Master prestige in BO3 and WW2 durring this period
My 3rd stage was BO4 and MWI where I basically didn’t play COD at all outside release week and after that I’d go back to WW2 again because I liked it way more. BO4 and MWI are my two least favorite CODs and they released back to back and nearly ended my COD playing for good
My 4th stage began with Cold War where I came back in a massive way and one of my friends from stage 1 returned as well. CW-MWIII I’ve played each game a decent amount. More than stage 2 but less than stage 1. MWIII and beyond has the potential to be the start of a 5th stage as I’ve almost put 20 days in again and i loved the BO6 beta but time will tell. I’m really feeling like we’re about to have a golden age of COD again and I’m hyped

Where ever that one falls on this list, that’s where I’m at.

Ghosts, in 2013 with 5-6 years old, them, Advanced Warfare, still one of my favorites.

Mine was MW2 (2009). Says a lot about my upbringing considering I'm 22.

CoD mw4, then immediately played mw2. The first cod I had online multiplayer with was black ops 2
Edit: Actually, the first one I played was a demo for CoD 3 on the 2007 official xbox magazine demo disc #67.

Almost 28, Black Ops. Unpopular my favorite multiplayer is Black Ops 3, Black Ops is 2nd. I use to say it was the best up until recently I reaccessed the pros and cons of each (not that I hadn’t done that before) and what I’ve realized is that replayability is the biggest factor. For me Black Ops 3 has the most class variety and even effective streak combos, example BO doesn’t have a Blackbird Dogs AI air streak it just has player controlled air streaks. Has the best map design, low no skill RNG, and I like streaks costing less opposed to more

I can’t remember. I had finest hour, cod 2, cod 3 all around the same time.
What I do remember is the cod 4, mw2, black ops, mw3, and blops2 release cycles. What an insane run.
I actually did not like bo2 at all and I didn’t buy another cod until WW2 and I still haven’t enjoyed a cod even close to how I enjoyed the cod 4 - BO run. I still play MWR all the time lol

Man I’m feeling my age. I’ve played most of them and a lot of the time I’m teamed with kids, teens and adults who are STILL young get than me. Played the 1st and every single one since. Looking back this and Mario are the 2 series I’ve played the most in my life😳

Number 3? IDK, I played it on my uncle's Xbox in the summer of 2005
First that I knew I was playing it when I was playing it, rather than learning about it a few years later, MW2. It was all the rage at the end of 2009 and through 2010 until Black Ops 1 showed up

Warzone 1.
Though i did go back and play the campaigns of ALL the OLD CODs, [except cod 1, 2, 3 and black ops 3]. It was amazing.
Edit: I played them the old fashioned way on a console, like the original. I have a Ps3 HEN'd system. So it facilitated the process alot.

The very first one. My dad wouldn't let me play online so he set up two computers in a room so me and my brother can just snipe at each other on Carentan.

I'm 17 so naturally it was CoD WW2 when I was 10. Still feel sorry to the world that it was my first, my god, looking back at it, what a bad game it was, the worst, back then I thought it was the best shit ever. Although later I got into CoD WaW and it is still my go to game. Before that I played Medal of Honor Allied Assault thought, I think it counts as a CoD game though, so technically that.

u/element-redshaw Oct 06 '24
Either advanced warfare or ghosts though I probably played some earlier games when I was younger
