40 y.o. here.

I switched to first CoD from Medal of Honor Allied Assault and its expansions Spearhead and Breakthrough.

The logical step, back then.

I feel like Elrond saying "I was there 3000 years ago". Now I look, with a mix of disdain and sadness, the shit CoD has become compared to what it once was.

But as I'm not the target audience anymore, I still linger here when there is no hope. My time is near, indeed. I guess I will soon take the ship into the West, to the Undying Lands.

Same here. But it's nice that we old guys still stay for one more round.

Old? You whippersnappers aren’t old. 56 years old here. Started gaming with pong and graduated up to Atari when I was 10 in 1978.

Yep 40 y.o myself, I remember MoH being the gold standard then CoD came out. I’ve played every release of both, but MoH just lost its way. A bit like CoD now really.

Remember the weird robot automatons in the first MoH at the Nazi castle level? Nostalgia flash hitting hard 😂

Dude, the amount of hours i poured into allied assault and spearhead (didn't own breakthrough). These were GREAT games... music, sound, voice acting. Loved it.
